Computer laptop HP TouchSmart desire does not illuminate

I got a new Notebook of TouchSmart from HP ENVY, not sure of the model.

It works fine and this morning it will not light.  It's plugged in but nothing.  I checked the plug and it is fine.

Help?

Looks like you are not able to turn on the laptop despite trying several times

We will surely help you with this problem

You will find advice and the steps involved in solving this problem:

01. remove all cables and devices, disconnect them and try to turn on the device

02 check LED light situation and ensure that the action of the spring button / stop is normal

Note: With No Power scenario, there would be no LED lights

03 Exchange with a well known power cord and the AC adapter

04 incase no adapters are available, check if the power adaptor is slightly warm

Note: This will give us an indication that the power adapter could be good

05. do you know if the laptop was in battery or power adapter when you used the last time

Note: Ensure that there is no spill of liquid or cutting

06 off the laptop

07. disconnect the power/AC adapter and also remove the battery too

08 hold down the power button on the laptop for a minute

09. now we will re - insert the battery back in and plug again the power supply/adapter

10. run Notepad.

  • HP 15-d040nr: my laptop screen touch hp does not illuminate

    My laptop touch screen computer hp laptop (not sure of the name of the template) does not illuminate. My computer has problems finding networks so I restarted it by using the restart function, and when it will ever stop finished back. When I press the power button / of on the internet key light turns orange and the port on the adapter lights up as usual as well, but the screen remains black. This laptop is only a little over a year, I don't know how to fix it. I tried to unplug the adapter and taking the battery, now the power for 30-60 seconds and everything put back and that does not work, I have read a lot of forums and tried everything but nothing seems to work. If anyone has an idea of what I can do, that would be really appreciated, I don't want to consider to get a diagnosis and spend tons of money. Thank you!

    I ended up taking my laptop to a tech repair shop and found out that the problem was the motherboard - I had to pay for a new part and pay for this service, luckily the place is a fair price and only cost me the price of a new laptop. It sucks that I have had the computer for less than two years and I have to do an important replacement, but at least I know never buy another laptop HP again! Good luck!

  • Laptop HP Pavilion G6 does not illuminate

    I got this laptop a little over a year.  A few nights ago I used it, and it worked very well.  The next morning, he does not and would not charge. Any suggestions?

    Try a hard reset as follows:

    (1) remove the battery and unplug the DC power adapter.
    (2) press and hold the power button for more than 15 seconds.
    (3) plug the DC power adapter (leave the battery for now)
    4) press the power button

  • Computer laptop keyboard and mouse does not work (updated Bios and took the batttery)

    I have HP G60-530US.

    I read all the posts that talked about updating the BIOS and then by doing a hard reset by removing the power cable and speaking on the battery and then hit the power button for a minute or simply to leave the computer for several minutes.

    A lot of people seems to have solved their problems.  Not me.

    I updated the BIOS and also did the hard reset like 10 times.  What other options are there?

    I have Windows 7-64 bit.  This problem occurred after I did the updates windows 11/04/13 or 12/04/13.

    Mouse power switch and the power button wifi button keys are the only ones that seem to work.

    Go back to the device, right click on the Device Manager and select uninstall - when it is finished, restart the laptop.

  • HP touchsmart 320 does not illuminate

    My HP TouchSmart Pc 320 lights I noticed the power adapter blinks and a beep so I tried another adapter even and it does the same thing, I guess this isn't the adapter but the Pc its self.

    I have 8 TouchSmart 320 Pc that I bought for my business a year ago, it comes to the second Pc that gave me I've corrected the issues first, but what can be wrong with it? IM assuming it has to do with the motherboard. Please help thanks.

    Thanks for the quick response. So, the Web siteof your product has not all alerts published about problems with the motherboard.  It's a good thing.  The system has a "Angelino2" motherboard.  I don't know if it's still under warranty, but you can check the status here. I think that in this case, you should contact an HP maintenance officer and plan a repair workshop to control the installation. At this point I don't know what could be the failure.  If it is out of warranty, you could pursue other options as an output of repair under warranty with an authorized service provider. Often, they will be able to provide some diagnostic efforts at a reduced price.  Good luck to you.

    Follow the steps in this document to perform a System Restore. You will need to start safe mode to perform the steps.

    Restore point:

    Try typing F8 at startup and in the list of Boot selections, select Mode safe using ARROW top to go there > and then press ENTER.

    Try a restore of the system once, to choose a Restore Point prior to your problem...

    Click Start > programs > Accessories > system tools > system restore > choose another time > next > etc.

    If restore work not and you do not have a Vista DVD from Microsoft, do a repair disc to do a Startup Repair:

    Download the ISO on the link provided and make a record of repair time it starts.

    Go to your Bios/Setup, or the Boot Menu at startup and change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order, then reboot with the disk in the drive.

    At the startup/power on you should see at the bottom of the screen either F2 or DELETE, go to Setup/Bios or F12 for the Boot Menu.

    When you have changed that, insert the Bootable disk you did in the drive and reboot.

    It is NOT a disc of resettlement.

    And the 32-bit is what normally comes on a computer, unless 64-bit.

    Two things:

    (1) make sure you have the best/full software driver for your Dell internal bluetooth device.

    2) go into the sound control panel and change the playback to bluetooth headset device.

  • My computer Dell Inspiron 14 3452 does not illuminate.

    When I press the button power I hear it loading upward and the light. The screen is completely black and then I hear 7 loud beeps and it stops, and then repeat the beeps again and again.  What is the problem and can it be resolved?

    This means a bad CPU or mainboard - if the system is under warranty, contact Dell for repair.  Otherwise, you can always do it but expect a charge of about $300.

  • Receiver LifeChat ZX - 6000 LED does not illuminate.

    When I bought the camera it worked perfectly for a period of time over 2 years. Unfortunately I uninstalled the original however drivers.

    I installed the drivers that I could find for the Lifechat 1.4 which is supposed to work for my Vista Home Edition. I lost my CD so I can't use it. After installing the drivers Microsoft Lifechat appears in my programs under the control panel. I plugged the receiver in 6 different USB ports on my computer and the receiver LED does not illuminate indicating that it is not recognized. All 6 of these ports USB detects other material immediately.

    Is there a separate driver just to the receiver that may not be included in the Microsoft Lifechat 1.4? Any ideas as to why this is happening?

  • Computer laptop Qosmio F15 does not illuminate when the power switch / stop is pressed

    My Toshiba Qosmio f15-av201 does not turn when you push the power button, even if the lights of ac adapter & battery are both on (on). Indeed, the yellow light that is supposed to turn on the power button when the laptop is turned off does not appear. In addition, there is no sign that shows the laptop tries to start when the button is pressed, not even a peep. The laptop was recently dismantled (open) to clean the fans, who made the famous monstrous noise which toshiba qosmios are apparently well known for.
    Everything seems to be connected correctly in its correct place. Nothing seems to be damaged. So, I have no idea where I can get out of here.

    Help will be less appreciated.

    I agree with kody. Of course, it is not easy to say with certainty why this happens. Who tore your laptop? Service or only you?

    To be honest, I think you did it alone. Have you used maintenance manuals?
