My best guess, not knowing what updates you have loaded, would be that you got a video update from Microsoft that may not be 100% compatible with your laptop. I would go to the manufacturer website and download the latest video drivers for your laptop and install them according to the manufacturer's suggestions.

GoTo all programs search and type in Recovery Manager click that above and open it. Click Yes (white box) so it apears. Select Microsoft System Restore Click next to three windows now you will see a list of dates, select a date prior to the installation of the update, then click. Let the computer do its restoration. Once done see if your problem is solved, if so try the update again, make you that the update is for 64-bit Windows 7 computers before you download it again. If that happens again once you know what AVG is not compatible for your computer.

I recently received the Portege M400 from a friend 4 days ago and reformatted for Windows XP Tablet Edition.
Everything's fine until I wanted to move the laptop to my coffee table, but as soon as I move the laptop it freezes, the screen goes black and the fan speed increases dramatically.
So far I have had no success in the resolution of this problem and I really appreciated, is that someone could help me!

Have you installed the OS using a Toshiba recovery media or you have installed the version of the OS?

I've simplified a more complicated model to try to understand what is happening, but I can't for the life of understand me. My camera starts to zoom in to a way of 3d layer in the distance. Everything's fine until it reaches a certain point, then the screen goes black. The camera did not run in the layer, I don't think that the lights have something to do with it. It just goes black. Hi, I had the same problem when I plugged the hdmi for the first time that I chose the 'graphics options-> output-> TV' at first by right-clicking on the desktop. Later I selected "change pc settings" section of charms and the selected tab devices add a device and while the laptop was looking I have connected the hdmi cable. This is how I got to the TV screen.

I have a hp laptop pavilion g6 with two cards, the AMD M880G with ATI mobility Radeon HD 4250 and AMD Radeon HD 6470 M. The screen goes black when you enter the desktop screen (only visible pointer) after you have reinstalled windows 7 64-bit with HP recovery, checks resetting factory and the reduced image.

I do not see the Task Manager either because it does not appear on the screen when I press ctrl-alt-delete. When I try to update the driver in safe mode, downloaded from HP site, windows tells me that the installed controller is already updated and when running the catalist also downloaded HP gives me an error "Error loading controller detection." Any help?
