  Usually, you need to install the webcam driver and sound to get the microphone working. The microphone is a part of webcam

  As you wrote, Satellite A210 is not Windows 7 64 bit supported, so the only option you have the Vista 64 bit drivers

  In my opinion, you should check if the Microphone is turned on in Windows audio settings. There you can also activate the Microphone Amplifier, which can increase the volume of the microphone.

  You must install the software of webcam also.

  Second, before install you the audio driver for Win XP you must install the MS patches; KB835221 and KB888111
  These hotfixes must be installed before installing driver sound!

  Maybe you should contact Toshiba service and ask for help. They have manuals for Maintenance and plan exact mainboard and they can help you with this.

  I tried to use Skype but my microphone is not working, I have re-installed all the drivers but it's always the same, I click with the right button on the icon on the system tray sounds and opens "recording devices", and it seems to detect a microphone (device Realtek HD audio by default), but still no sound.   If this isn't the case, that the built-in webcam is supported by the built-in microphone and it s able to record video and audio.

  I guess that you can not use the internal mic in relation to the Skype due to the wrong settings. As far as I know it of possible to change the settings of the microphone in Skype.
