Computer refreshed after he tried to update to Windows 8.1. He killed many things including my Thunderbird account. I forgot the password. Help!
I need to revisit my Thunderbird account (and preferably emails in the history). I tried to upgrade to 8.1 window that my computer wouldn't boot. I used the option "Refresh" and got many programs back, but had to download some applications. I don't remember my password to Thunderbird if when I try to access it, no go.
What can I do?
What kind of password Thunderbird claims? Did you create a master password to protect your account information by e-mail, or he asks for one of your login email?

disabled on the Windows Xp laptop after 6 months (has been repaired at the time) and it says log in password has expired and asking me to create a new but I forgot the password to myold because it uses to connect automatically so I never had to go, before going to the Juno connect... There are no icons so cannot open anything all the it watch is the homepage and this message keeps coming up
Start the computer in safe mode and log on to the built-in account named administrator . You will need to know the password, if any, for this account. Once, go to Panel > user accounts and change the password for your regular account.
Then, restart the computer and you connect to your regular account with the new password. If the computer has a floppy drive, you can make a password reset disk

Although even I have now a new computer, still I'd like having my old 1 as a back-up if this 1 crashes ever, there is only 1 account on it and I forgot the password of admin for it. I tried to restart it in safe mode if all goes well to bypass the password admin start-up section, but surprise! always had a password and when I type the password reset link under the password box that he told me that I need a password reset disk where can I get 1 of them and I can get very cheap 1 because I am disabled and cannot work more:(si im limité sur combien dépenser chaque mois.) It also requires a USB and not a disc, the brand and the model is an Acer Aspire 5610 with windows vista home premium.
Hello DOWG pepper,.
Unfortunately Microsoft forbids us to give instructions on how to work around/hack admin password. There are ways, but we are not allowed to disclose. As this is an old PC, maybe the best thing for you to do is re - install windows on this computer.
On the reset disk, you will need to create one of these yourself by opening the control panel and clcikcing on user account icon. In user accounts, look to the left of the window and you will see a list of tasks. The first is create a reset disk.

Hello I have a windows 7 Home premium, I put a password so I can handle my children surfing the internet it backfire I forgot the password now I can't make updates or changes how do I fix this thanks
Here you go:
- Set your BIOS so that it uses the DVD drive as its primary boot device.
- Start the computer with your Windows 7 repair CD.
- Press a key when prompted to boot from the DVD.
- Select 'PC Repair' in the menu.
- Select 'Repair' when prompted.
- When you are prompted, select System Restore.
- Set up Windows to a point before you set the password.
- Plan ahead a little and create, test and document an alternative admin account, same as you have a spare emergency House key.

have older Ipads; I forgot the password; now disabled. Tried restore several times. My Macbook won't download new software. Several error messages. iPad now could not be restored and open
Hey domerdrnd74,
Is not not be able to access you iPad because it is disabled does not for a good hour.
If you have forgotten the password for your iPad, iPhone or iPod touch, or your device is disabled through the steps you need to do to get the iPad upward and running. I did these steps a few times before and they work every time. You may need to put your device in recovery mode, more than once if your internet speed is slower by downloading the restore software.
See you soon

I'm the only person who is using my computer. And I know that I have does not have a password.
It is impossible for us to know here if your computer is infected. See if you can connect to the built-in Administrator account. In XP Home, start the computer in Mode safe. This, by repeatedly pressing the F8 key as the computer starts. This will put you in the right menu. Navigate using your arrow up; the mouse does not work here. Once in safe mode, you will see the normally hidden administrator account. The default password is white.
In XP Pro, you don't need to go to Safe Mode. In the home screen, do Ctrl-Alt-Del twice to get the classic Windows logon box. Type in "Administrator" and the password that you assigned when you set up Windows.
If you can get, go to control panel > user accounts and remove the password for your user account. Then scan your computer for viruses/malware by:
http://www.elephantboycomputers.com/page2.html#Removing_Malware
If you reset the password of the account administrator integrated into house or have Pro and don't remember the password (or have Pro/Media Center and use the administrator for your daily work and so is the administrative account only on the system), NTpasswd allows you to change the password of the built-in to a white administrator account. Download the bootable CD .iso image file, burn with third-party burning software such as free ImgBurn , Nero or Roxio. Burn as an image, not in the form of data. Start with the media that you have created. You need to maybe change the boot order in the BIOS or obtain a menu of boot command temporary with the pressure of a special key. NTpasswd will run. Follow the instructions carefully.
http://home.eunet.no/pnordahl/ntpasswd/
Then open a session with the password to blank (null) and make changes, scan, etc.

I forgot the password of an account from an old computer that I have. What can I do?
no password no disc reset no guest count of what now is my labtop spare
He just got out wardrobe to update and I forgot the password its been awhile
Hello grahamoverkill.stringfellow,
Unfortunately, we are not allowed by Microsoft to provide any information on the workaround (hacking) the password of any software.
If you have actually forgotten the user password, then one option is to re - install the operating system.
