  NB., we have been able to print using this printer, Wi - Fi, easily, since the purchase and installation on 28/08/16. No problem. In addition, using the * Apple * settings, by selecting 'Printers and Scanners' and going through the routine of "Scan", I can acquire a successful analysis (placed in "jpg" format in the 'Images' folder).

  I'm so concerned - very disappointed - as to why I can't activate and use the "Scan to computer" utility from HP. It does not work from the laptop computer side or from the printer control panel.

  If you have HP scanning or a previous version of HP Easy Scan in the Applications folder or HP subfolder, delete it by moving it to the trash, and then empty the trash.
  
  Install the latest HP Easy Scan below, it will be installed in the Applications folder:

  If you experience additional problems, ensure that the latest version of the software is installed by following HP Easy Start below:
  http://FTP.HP.com/pub/softlib/software12/HP_Quick_Start/OSX/applications/HP_Easy_Start.app.zip
  
  Finally, make sure that your drivers are up-to-date by clicking the Apple icon, select about this Mac and then press on software update.
  Click on the Bank on the menu bar, click Reload Page, click all update if an update is available.

• HP OfficeJet Pro X476dw MFP: Computer Scan is currently unavailable

  During my first installation of my printer, I could scan at the printer and the file would show up on my PC.  I lost this feature.  I changed my IP address for everything, so I suspect this is the problem, but I don't know how to restore the network connection.

  My printer IP is 192.168.2.75

  My PC IP is 192.168.3.100

  Although different subnets, it worked before.  Different subnets have been used for others to connect to the printer without having within a specific development environment.

  I am at a loss to get started on that.  While I'm asking, I don't really understand how to change the PC list that appears when you select Scan > computer > {list pc}.

  You can try this.

  1. Windows 7: (a) click Start. (b) select devices and printers.
  2. Click on Add a printer.
     
  3. Select Add a network, wireless or Bluetooth printer , and then click Next.
     
  4. Select the printer that I want isn't listed , and then click Next.
     
  5. Select Add a printer using a TCP/IP address or hostname, and then click Next.
     
  6. In the name of host or IP address box, enter the IP address of the printer , and then click Next.
     
  7. Select the type of printer you are using, and then click Next.
     
  8. On the "a window of Type printer name", follow these steps:
     • In the printer name box, enter a name for your printer, so that you can identify it.
     • If you want to make the default printer printer, see set as default printer.
     • Click Next.
  9. In the window "You managed to add", follow these steps:
     • -Click Print a test page.
       
       
     • When you have printed a test page successfully, click Finish.

  Hi, printer see the desktop but cannot access. Office has the scan of the active computer. Update driver and software for later. Downloaded Print & Scan doctor.   Hello, I solved the scanning problem is none of the above. It turns out that this printer is not backwards compatible with usb 3.0 ports. I bought a USB 2.0 expansion card to install it in the computer and viola, it works. I had to find someone with this printer on another computer to check this first. My printer on a USB 2.0 on a different computer worked well. Problem solved

  I am trying to scan my Officejet Officejet Pro 8500 has more eAiO scan to my iMac (Mac OS X 10.6.8).) IT scans only part of the document is scanned. However, when I copy it, the entire document is printed. I was looking for, if I could change this on the officet, or the system of preferences on my mac, but couldn't find anything on the 8500. On mac, I could change something, but it was only the scans on insiders from my computer.

  Scanning directly from the Officejet comes in very handy when the digitization of books, with one hand, I have to push it and the iMac is not in reach of the officejet...

  Otherwise, I am very satisfied with the printer and everything works fine...

  Please specify the exect option that you use to scan from the control panel of the device.

  What exect icon are you clicking after selecting the scam?

  If it is computer, try to update the latest version of the driver and check if the Scan shortcuts Manager do not appear:

  Click the Apple icon, then software updated. Be sure to select any update HP available.

  If you don't see the specific option yet, you will need to delete all HP software installed completely and install the latest version:

  * Please note that the following steps will delete all HP software installed.

  1. click on menu go (click the desktop, then watch the menu in the bar at the top of the page)
  2. Select Applications
  3 select the Hewlett-Packard folder
  4. double-click on uninstall HP application
  5 follow the uninstall to prompt to select a device to uninstall
  6. press and hold Ctrl + Alt + Cmd keys on the keyboard at the same time as you click on uninstall
  7 approve any prompt to uninstall all HP software.

  Download and install the latest driver below:

  Finally, update the latest driver by clicking the Apple icon, then software updated.

  If you use another method of scan, please specify which option you use.

  Is no longer, I can scan from my HP3520 to my computer. I use windows 10. I can print on the computer, but when I try to use the scan function is not connected to the computer. I use a USB connection. I installed the HP scan and print app but when I tried to connect it said the device was not found.

  Welcome to the Forums of HP Support! I understand that you are not able to scan with your HP Deskjet 3520 since the upgrade to the operating system Windows 10. When you try to scan, you get an error message "device not found".

  I would like you to start troubleshooting here: HP Scan software done is not open or scan on a printer connected to USB (Windows)

  I'm on Windows 10 and have updated my HP drivers and I have NOT of PROBLEMS I scan a document to my computer.

  But I get, every so often, a message background - black disaster mistake, bright yellow triangle - who says my priner can not scan to my computer. There is no HP identifier on the message.

  It seems that some malware that missed Bitdefender. Any ideas on whereI can find and eliminate?

  It is a mistake on the part of Windows. He thinks that the printer has lost the connection, when in fact, the connection is always ther.

  I have networked printers at home, and I usually see this message once a day.

  When I then click on the desktop icon to check the problem, the routine is able to communicate with the printer without any problems.

  My printers are connected by a cable to a switch ethernet, so I KNOW that the connection has not been ignored.

  It doesn't seem to be a way to STOP Windows generates this message.

  I used my printer to scan to my laptop without a problem for a few years.  When I select the SCANNER on my printer by default on my laptop, and I can save the scanned my laptop very easily.  However, now I want to change this default setting on the printer to my laptop to another computer.  I correctly entered MP Navigator on my new computer and saved a scanned document to her, but, still, I would like to change the default printer, if I can use the controls on the printer to scan on my new computer (instead of having to run the scan on my computer).

  How can I change the default (for the scans) destination in the printer from one computer to another?

  Because no one cares to answer, I just had to find it myself. In your printer press menu, select settings, device settings, go down to reset the setting, Yes only, settings, ok, ok. Now, when you press the scan button, it will let you select pc again and you can set another pc which is connected in wired or wireless. Hope it fixes.

  How can I get this software on the best of my knowledge, I downloaded the all-in-one software for this machine, which should include the scanning software.

  I am able to scan to the Mac using the touch screen of the printer but it records the individual pages as JPEG files and I want to be able to save several pages in the same file, just as I do in Windows.

  I understand that you are having problems using your scanning software. I would like to help with that!

  I suggest to remove the printer from your printing system, using this document: uninstalling the software of the printer.

  Once you have deleted, I suggest to check and repair disk permissions: function to fix the permissions of all utility disk drive.

  I also run your Apple updates: OS x: Mac App Store apps and OS X update

  After the updates, I recommend you to reinstall HP Photosmart 6520 e-all-in-one of the printer drivers.

  Please start the command prompt (cmd.exe) with admin rights [1] and run sfc [2]:

  sfc.exe/scannow

  I have a hp officejet printer/scanner/fax/copy 6600 and I have just purchesed an all in one HP computer.  The printer software is not supported by Windows 8, and I can't get my scanner to scan to my computer.  Help, please!

  Ah ok. I just realized that you have not successfully updated Windows 8 software and drivers for this Office Jet. Download the full driver from here:
