Computer stolen, is there a way to recover the old bookmarks
I have no access to the stolen computer and don't think I was on sync. Are my favorites anywhere on the side of things Firefox?
Hello rhansen - sorry to hear that your equipment got stolen... firefox only synchronize or transfer all bookmarks if explicitly configured to do this. in case you have any backups of the file system of your computer available, you might be able to restore the bookmarks from the profile directory.
in the case where you have a google account and you have not disabled the web history, maybe you can grab some sites through this way: http://support.google.com/accounts/bin/answer.py?hl=en & answer = 54068

Is there a way to recover the deleted files without using any software?
# Software is necessary.
First check the recylcl tray. If she isn't here, read the following:
"Deleting" a file does not delete actually it brand just space be used. There are third-party programs that can sometimes recover deleted files. The problem is that the space used by the file is likely to be replaced very quickly, and this makes the unrecoverable file.
So your chances of successfully recover this file are decent, if you try it again immediately after deleting it and quickly down. If you have used the computer since then (for example to read this answer and write that question), your chances may be very weak now.
But if the file is large enough, it's still worth a try. Stop using the computer in question immediately, if you haven't done so already. Download an undelete program (in here is one: http://www3.telus.net/mikebike/RESTORATION.html but there are many other choice; do a search) on a friend's computer and bring it to you on a diskette, CD, or drive to the thumb.
If that fails, your only recourse is to bring or send the drive to a professional file recovery company. This kind of service is very expensive and may or may not work in your case.

Is there a way to recover the EFS encrypted files stored on an external drive without the original of the certificate?
I had photos/files stored on an external drive and have been encrypted with EFS in XP. The main drive crashed, all keys have been lost. Got a new main drive, installed the new OS and now can't access encrypted files.
Unless you can retrieve parts of your old drive or have a backup of your encryption certificate, you have probably lost all of your encrypted data. Recovery agents work only if they are in place when the file/folder is initially encrypted. A program like AEFSDR might be able to resurrect your old certificate from your old drive if it is readable at all. If you plan to use EFS in the future, make sure you read the following article the court - particularly paragraph entitled "why you should back up your certificates.
"Best practices for EFS file system.

Hello
Is there a way to recover the spfile if I remove the spfile?
I did a full backup rman db.
Thank you.OK, when you discover a "Note", it means a Metalink Note (now My Oracle Support). RMAN start the instance, it used a 'fake' spfile, when you restore the 'real' your backup spfile you must stop the db so when restart you the restored spfile is read with the correct values for the db settings.

Is there a way to get the old Office mate (Clippy) in Windows 7?
I hate to be "Clippy" (or is this Clippie?) of XP and I would like to know if there is a way to get the old Office Assistant in Win7.
They were actually disabled in 2001 with the implementation of 'Microsoft Office XP' and completely deleted for good at the end 2002 with the release of Microsoft Office 2003.
You can restore to 2003 with some changes to the system registry and the replacement of prudent file, but it is not supported. And this can be done at all in Office 2007 with impatience. -
I built my computer 5 years ago and already a version of XP OEM (drive a sort of holographic label). Recently the mobo was damaged by lightning, and I had to replace it. I decided to put a bigger drive in when I reinstalled it. I have the installation disc, but the certificate was in there with a bunch of boxes of software stolen from my garage. I noticed that there is a number on the inner edge of the disk. Is it possible to retrieve the activation number for this?
original title: activation number stolenThere is no way to bind your key for you - if you still have the recepits, you may be able to get a replacement of MS by contacting them here...

Hello - I hope someone can tell me how to recover the amount of storage used against an assignment given to a specific VCC in the goal. I use storage profiles in my environment and when I retrieve the details of an org vDC by AGAINST... api / / admin/vdc / < OID >, I think the result is a block with hrefs VdcstorageProfiles I can do more gets against for details on provisioned storage profiles. However the results of these becomes later contain just a 'Limit' tag in the XML file that indicates the amount of the allowance, but still no details on usage. The initial GET against the vDC shows its use against the allocation of memory and cpu, and I was looking to find a similar result for storage.Thank you!
Nevermind, I just have this one resolved, everything necessary for the query / api /? type = adminOrgVdcStorageProfile & filter = vdcName is XXXX

I downloaded Firefox 4 on the site of Firefox, dragging the new version in my applications folder, how it has replaced my old version (I think it was 3.11.16). Then when I went to open it, it says it can not be run on my OS X 10.4.11 system. Can I get the previous version of Firefox back sort of my own system? I can get it back by downloading it from a third party (for Safari) site? Firefox is my favorite browser and I am unwilling to upgrade to Leopard right now.
Firefox 4 requires at least OS X 10.5 and an Intel Mac.
For Mac OS X 10.4.11 or Mac OS X 10.5.8, you can watch:

Is there a way to see the old chkdsk log on windows 7 Home premium?
You know, when you run the command CHKDSK's BACK to Windows 7 Home Premium at the end it is a summary of the results. But the summary is only visible for a few monents (not long enough to actually read) and then the system moves to open a Windows session. Is it possible to display these results once you are in the WIndows environment? Some kind of log file that can be referred to? I'm talking specifically of the complete CHKDSK with both the boxes checked
"Automatically Fix file System Errors ' and ' will search for and attempt to recover bad sectors...
Thank you.

Is there a way to check the product key on Windows 7
Ladies and gentlemen
Tablet of my wife is pre-installed with Win 7 and twice in recent years I needed to reinstall. The tablet with Windows 7 pre-installed and included the disc. I now find I need reintall again as complaints about the machine being slow emanate from the kitchen. While I wrote down the product key for the program that I find now that I have is to not store this piece of paper very solidly and can no longer find it. This raises a few questions. One option is to download the ISO file and install. I did, but it asks for the key of product, which was not really surprising. I have a desktop computer, but is there a way to get the product key without doing a full installation of Windows 7 on the desktop? I'm a bit lazy and do not want to save the office first, if it is not necessary.
Thanks for your advice.
David
Unfortunately, it not that we cannot help you. Your best option is to use the recovery media provided with your computer initially noted in your post and allows to reinstall Windows 7.
The tablet with Windows 7 pre-installed and included the disc
What you can do is, create a bootable copy on a USB stick with WinToFlash

Is there a way to recover from a backup firefox sync?
I reinstalledy my win7 box recently. It ' a windows.old with the original installation directory. Is there a way to get the key out of the .old directory synchronization? I don't know where the things of customization are stored, but no doubt there is a file or something that I can copy in my new installation so my sync can keep working without wipe me everything?
Lesson learned, save the key to recovery somewhere you will remember!
If you have a backup of the Firefox profile folder you can copy the file signons.sqlite and signons3.txt in one Firefox profile folder.
You can check if you can find the key to the synchronization in the password manager.Make a backup of the he signons3.txt and signons.sqlite files if you already saved passwords or create a new profile and copy the files in the profile folder to inspect these files.

The "Application Data" in XP/Win2K folder and the folder "AppData" in Vista/Windows 7 are hidden folders.
You can find the password synchronization and the synchronization key in Manager password on the computer where you created at the origin of this synchronization account (email).
