Computer stops automatically without notice

My computer stopped twice now in the last few days. It gives no warning. The battery is charged. It could be overheated?

Overheating can cause sudden stops of your machine.

If a laptop, make sure that the vents are regularly cleaned of dust, etc..

Also make sure that the laptop is in a well ventilated area, not used on the bedspreads, blankets, etc.

If a desktop computer, turn off the power, remove a side cover and carefully blow out the dust, etc.

You can buy cans of compressed air to clean computers at most computer stores.

And make sure that the fans are working properly.

See you soon.

  • Computer stops apparently without reason?

    Hi all!

THE PROBLEM: I am running Windows 8 Enterprise on my system. I have a processor 4 GHz 8 and 16 GB of ram. My system will stop randomly without any particular reason. There is any model concerned applications when this happens, I can just turn on my computer, and then do nothing and it will happen eventually at random intervals. I made sure that my PC is not overheated, the temperature stays around 18 to 24 degrees (each fan on my PC has a thermometer that digitally displayed on the Tower).

WHAT I TRIED: I reformatted my OS, the problem persists. When booting in safe mode, the problem does not occur. I did a clean boot to eradicate any 3rd party service, causing this problem, I also disconnected all devices and left work when it starts normally.

I'll try to reformat my PC for Windows 8 Pro instead of the company and see if that fixes the problem. In the meantime, I was wondering if anyone else had any suggestions for me? Thank you for your useful answers! : D

my laptop turns off as she stops why is this

    Hello

Could be heat related - try using a small fan to blow into the air intakes to see if that helps.
It is just like it loses power or stop it in the normal way?

To be able to remove ALL and reinstall all the cables (both ends), card and memory - in fact remove and
replace - do not just tight. Remove the dust bunnies and clean the vents. Check that the
fans of work (before and after opening the case). If a laptop on what you can do is reinstall
memory and clean the ventilation openings (still may try to add a small fan as a test).

This sounds like material so if the above does not help you then probably need the help of a
real computer store (not of leeks and glances at a Best Buy or other department stores) or the system
    Support from the manufacturer.

  • Satellite U500 - 18L - stops randomly without notice

    Hello!

my laptop suddenly and randomly turn off (as if I plug the power) at any time (after 5, 10, 30 or 60 minutes or even more than that), but it works normally in safe mode, without any problem. I searched the internet but I have found no help.
-It is not a heating problem.
-J' tried to remove the graphics card driver.
-J' even got Toshiba HDD recovery.

but the problem still there. What in the world could be the reason? and why it only happens in normal mode but not in safe mode. so frustrated :(

    Help, please

On this virtual path, it is not easy to say why this is happening. My first thought was maybe overheating.
Satellite U500 is old enough laptop model, and I can imagine the fan cooling or cooling rack can be full of dust that blocks the flow of regular air.

Safe mode is a mode type of diagnosis of Windows and most device drivers are not loaded. Of course in this mode CPU does not work under stress and many processes are not active. In this laptop mode will not produce as much heat as usual.

Of course, I can't say with certainty that overheating is the reason described interruptions, but in my opinion, your first step should be portable professional cleaning. After doing this, you can check the feature and is if the same thing happens again. If so, it may be a hardware problem.

  • Satellite A30 always stop without notice

    Hi all

I'm having a problem with my laptop Satellite A30. It will always stop without notice. But the thing is that I n it's a problem of heating with the fans. The laptop turns off only to if im under the laptop to maximum power or full power from the AC adapter. Tasks that can be taxed as a full system virus scan or play games will be stopped after about 20 minutes more than the setting of high battery power or if its connection to the network and is set to full power. Using word or simple tasks are not.

Now im thinking there may be a problem with my cpu it can not handle when it needs to perform tasks advanced on my laptop. What could be the problem? Low power my laptop works very well even when executing these advances of the tasks it is only a problem when its power on full or high.

    Any help or advice?

    Hello

Thanks for the description I always think of it s an overheating problem.
Current laptop saver control different modes of consumption if the laptop works with the AC adapter or with full power, the energy saver uses different power mode when the laptop will run only to batteries.

Different consumption patterns are supported various parameters of the processor and the different method of cooling.
Probably the CPU works with a hot and maximum performance when the power adapter is connected.

I think you should check the cooling modules and fans. Try cleaning carefully with the vacuum cleaner. But if you have no experience with these procedures, then request a technician or a person with more experience

  • My computer restarts automatically when I'm Working. How I stop it?

    my computer restarts automatically directly.

    Please help me

There are 3 main reason for this.
    1. hardware problems
2 OS error file / Corruptions
    3. software conflicts

Right-click on my computer and select Properties
    Click the Advanced tab
In select United Nations parameters to start recovery, click the automatic reboot Option
Try to use the computer for some time now. Check if the computer restarts now.

If the computer restarts always there may be some error in some files. Just try to do a repair installation of Windows XP by using the Windows XP CD.

If you get a BSOD. (Blue Screen Of Death) there may be some hardware problems also. As RAM / mother board failure.   Not all BSOD due to hardware problems.

  • Satellite L755-10 q stops automatically

    Nice day!
I just bought my phone toshiba L755-10 q here Jarir al madinah last October 8, 2011, on the 1st day I feel that my laptop does not open when I press on restart button its not opening.
I thought that was just lowbat why I waited until 15 minutes, then it will open after I saw that my battery is full...
    Why is - this open?

I tried another to disable and open it again its not open... for 4 times I tried to do like that, but still when I tried to open the button on the 1st time it always fails... It's the 1st night.

3rd night after 4 to 6 hours, surfing the net and watching the movie, my laptop off automatically without cause... I tried to open it opens, then it says start windows normally and I chose it... This means his force stops.

What had happened I checked all settings of my energy and sleep is NEVER all.
How can it be then after once again for help after 10 minutes it stops again. Then I opened then after 5 minutes its shuts down again, then after that I opened it stops again. As soon as I put my password in the Welcome screen. hats of this?

Earlier, I brought my laptop in jarir. They put the energy setting to high performance and said they will ship my laptop in Riyadh which will last 2-3 weeks... He said to check back for 1 day and I'll be there if something happens...

Then I tried when I arrive home after 10 minutes of surfing the net it turns off again... I tried to pull the plug, just using my 1 hour battery after that it shuts off again...
Really, I don't know what to do with this... last week I'm so excited but this and I have toshiba confidence that all their cell phones are great, but then 4 days, imagine that...

I am really so disappointed... all my salary for 4 months, that I collected, I put to this laptop, but then it's going to happen for only 4 days? I DEMMAND for the nine, I really can't withstand this pressure I need computer realkly laptop that's why I bought as much as I can, then technician Jarir said it will take 2-3 weeks for it?
What is a hard time for my NEW laptop?

    Hello

In most cases the laptop stops automatically due to high temperature.

Usually the cooling modules should be able to cool the laptop properly, but if don t cooling modules work correctly, the CPU temperature can go up to a critical level and this would lead to close
In most cases dust and debris inside the cooling modules prevent fans to run with better performance so in this case you need to remove the dust that I use the jet of compressed air that helps

Not sure if dust could be the reason for your problems, but I think that the high temperature would be possible in Saudi Arabia temp is high and you must make sure that there is enough free space around the laptop to ensure good air circulation

You can also try some additional cooling pads that could cool the internal parts

  • Portege R500 stops automatically

Portege R500 stops automatically when it is connected to the power for a certain period.
It comes on Toshiba power cable and cable igo juice. Tends to happen when it's hot, with or without battery.

Yellow flashes 2 long, short 2, 1 x long, 3 short. Only way to reset is to subscribe to the battery and the power cable.
Occurred after be connected for some time and will work only on power outlet after a long wait.
Now the case more often, even if the connection to the laptop isn't hot.

This is the 3rd generation of this laptop I've had over the last 10 years and with the memory of mid-life upgrade, they seem to be very robust and this is the fundamental problem only that I have met.

    Are there patches?

    Hello

The blink code means that a hardware problem has been detected on the motherboard.
So I think this could be a hardware related issue and not an overheating problem
    But nothing is impossible
You can try to clean the cooling fans/modules with a jet of compressed air
Would it help to remove dust from the computer laptop cooling grids
This workaround is useful if the laptop temperature is too high and the laptop stops automatically to avoid that the pieces of equipment against damage
