Computer won't start not (Normal Mode or secure); Blue screens
I have a HP Pavilion DV6 Notebook PC. The other day, he crashed and gave a blue error screen. Since then, it does not start. Ive tried to boot normally and without fail, or work mode. This is the information given in the blue screen. :
Win32k.sys
PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA
Technical information:
STOP: 0 X 00000050 (0XFFFFF901C066263C, 0 X 0000000000000000, 0XFFFFF9600006CCA3, 0 X 0000000000000005)
Win32k.sys - address FFFFF9600006CCA3 base at FFFFF96000000000, Datestamp 53c5df64
When it crashed first, I played a game, then the screen got all pixelated, then the blue screen. The computer has overheating problems, because the fan doesn't work 100%. He often stops from overheating, but I cleaned the vents out because it has not overheated since. I just want to know if anyone can tell what is the problem of the information above, or if you need more information. Because the computer does not start, I can't crash dump files. Any information is appreciated!

Windows XP won't start in normal mode
When you start the computer normally, he will just stay at the Windows loading screen forever. It allows me to start safe mode and I did a system restore, but this does not solve the problem. I don't know what other steps can I take to get my computer to start. Any suggestions?
'Safe Mode' is simply Windows running with the bare minimum programs and support. When you start normally, other programs and services are started that are not started in Mode without failure. Apparently one of these additional programs preventing your computer from starting normally. The process to discover which program is causing your problem is a random approach and use the Microsoft utility 'msconfig' selectively the enable/disable these additional processes. Once you find out what process is the problem, the solution is usually apparent. See the following article:

Why I can't get online in safe mode with networking? Does not start in normal mode.
I can't get my computer starts in normal mode. It starts only in safe mode. I can choose the mode safe mode with networking so I can get online, but that's all... just safe mode. Can I do to solve this problem? I don't have a lot of money and a new computer is not an option at the present time. Any help out there? I have also no sound. I tried to reinstall my windows xp, but it won't let me. I have XP Pro and SP3.
Hello splunk2011,
Please contact the Microsoft Answers forum with this problem!
After reading your post, my understanding of the issue is that you are unable to start in Normal Mode and as such, cannot be online within Mode safe mode with networking.
Because we can start in Mode safe mode with networking, this tells us that a driver or a program from loading at startup may cause the problem. To solve this, I would try a clean boot.

Let us know if this helps solve your problem.

XP SP3 update causes computer to only start in safe mode
My daughter had XP IE8 running on his computer, site update Windows XP SP3 download. I downloaded and installed, however it won't start in safe mode. When I remove SP3, the computer loads normally. I then uninstalled IE8 (went back to IE6), made sure I had the pre-requistes, followed the steps as outline on the microsoft site, downloaded SP3 again and installed. It will only re-start in safe mode. I tried everything, no matter what I do, XP SP3 causes the computer to restart in safe mode only. I'm totally frustrated. Can someone help me?
What is the origin of XP SP3 only start in SafeMode anfter installation? What can I do to fix this?
Continuous restarts or can only to Safe Mode boot after installing WinXP SP3?
[NB: the above has been updated several times and now includes "a small tool that allows to detect the problem IntelPPM and mitigate before installing (WinXP SP3)".]
Possible workaround: boot safe mode and rename INTELPMM. SYS to INTELPMM. OLD.

Cannot start in normal mode.
my computer will only work when its on safe mode or safe mode with networking, it does not work or crashes in normal mode, why?
Hi briancooper1979,
· What operating system is installed on the computer.
· Do you have an error message when you try to start in normal mode?
· Remember to make changes to the computer, after which the issue started?
Start in safe mode and put the computer in a clean boot state to solve the problem and check if it helps. You can start Windows Vista or Windows 7 by using a minimal set of drivers and startup programs. This type of boot is known as a "clean boot". A clean boot helps eliminate software conflicts.

Also, see the section on how to restore your computer to a Normal startup mode by following the in the link of the article mentioned above, after you perform the clean boot troubleshooting.
I hope this helps.
