Confidence in the PSC - tc interval

Hello

We measure the temperature with thermocouples connected to a cFP-TC-125 module. I am interested in the accuracy of the measurement of this unit. Of course, I know the patterns in the manual, containing different measurement error curves for different measurement situations. For a specific room temperature and the thermocouple, there are two curves. It shows a so-called 'Max' and the other a measurement error "type." I understand the difference, but we want to use the information to calculate the total measurement error (which also contains the error of thermocouple sensor and different error from an average of measurement points). Well, I got to a point: If you add up different measurement error you must use the same interval of confidence, because it is the scale of the measurement error.

The question is, if someone could tell me what confidence interval not 'Max' and 'Type' belong. What 1sigma, 2sigma, 3sigma? In a first approach, I would think that "Type" is 1sigma and 'Max' is 3sigma. But, assuming a normal distribution or a uniform, this does not seem to fit the data curves.

Thanks for reading, cordially

Gerald

Hello

I did some research and I can answer your question:

Figures for the errors of different thermocouples use values for margin of error / error page 15 the same manual calculate typical (15-35 ° C) and maximum (40, 70 ° C).

And I have confirmed that these maximum errors indicated in the manual are taken at the 99% confidence interval, script readings the worst.

I hope that this answer to your question.

Good day

Help, please! My printer/scanner/copier device will scan is no longer documents if you ask the PSC analysis directly. It will scan and I would like to save the scan on my computer if I open the icon Wizard HP printer on my desktop computer and it asks from there. Nothing has changed on this computer or PSC recently and the PSC makes still copies very well.

When I request the analysis of the PSC, here is the error message that appears: "connection error. The computer does not respond. Check if the USB cable is attached or wireless is working properly, and then try again. »

    Some info:

The PSC shows that it is connected to the computer and I checked the connections and everything is physically connected. I also update the PSC. The PSC is certainly connected to the internet (and without wire - the light blue, no flashing lights). I have Webroot Anywhere Secure protection for my desktop computer.

I checked the forums here and I do not see a response. Some of the help documents are dead end links so that does not help.

I'm not sure if this is a permanent solution, but finally, I finally solved this problem.  I decided to first unplug and then plug in my router. Then I unregistered and registered with Windows 10, your previous recommendation. Then I started from scratch - unplugged everything related to the CFP and also deleted the previous PSC software installed on the computer. Then I plugged in the printer and re-downloaded software. Tested to request a scan of the PSC and it worked - double checked by stop and to remit all running and I tried to request a scan of the PSC again and it worked again. So, it seemed to be a combination of renewal with Windows 10 and setting up of the PSC from scratch, to solve this, at least for me. Thanks for your patience! I don't think something regarding my download Windows 10 had something to do with mess up the signal from the PSC to the computer and I had to put fresh once again.

  • Variables shared on the CFP becomes zero and communicate with the PSC

I use a PC with two network cards, one on one wired ethernet, the other on a private IP directly connected to a PSC-2120 (running 6.0.5 full). I use variables shared on the CFP and aliasing to static variable on the PC (initially LV 8.6, now 2009f2 with the same problem in both). PC variables are stored in a database of the Citadel. I have the CFP program built to run at startup, and it works fine when not connected to the PC.

When connected to the computer all variables shared on the CFP will from time to time (almost 1/min for a few seconds) and randomly becomes zero. Even if they are resized only not to allow to become zero. I can say that what is happening because I use the variables shared as relay alarm thresholds module, and relays to suddenly slam on. I confirmed this by checking that the CFP has written to its internal flash memory card, and indeed variables suddenly are nil. On the PC it says that it cannot connect with the shared variables. This happens although LabView is not running on the PC!  Manager distributed system variables shared on the CFP are listed as (disconnected) during this time, but it continues to be able to read the correct values to live of the CFP entered the module.

Interestingly, I have the same computer with the same configuration (and a PSC-2120 different) that does not have this problem. Both PC's are new from the factory. I tried to disable the second ethernet adapter, closing all wall-lights/virusscan and re - order network cards in windows networking/advanced settings without success. Simply disconnect the cable between the PCP and the PC does not cause this problem and shared variables become zero does not trigger the network on the CFP monitoring parameters.

    My questions are:

    (1) this problem can be fixed?

    (2) lost communication for a few seconds is OK, but given the PSC variables become zero is not. Can I stop the variables of the PSC to become zero?

    -David

To update my previous post, it turns out that the re-installation was not the solution (the problem of variables start again occurring began). I finally realized that this only happens when I put the CFP time server IP (under Additional Configuration to the MAX). I was upgrading the server time on 192.168.1.1 IP (the IP address of the adapter of the CFP has been directly connected to). However, this compensation setting solves the problem.

I do not think that the time on the CFP must need to be addressed too often (and perhaps it is synchronized if I never re - deploy files to the CFP?), so I guess that leave it empty. Curiously, I have the same setup time on an another PSC server IP and PC (running LV 8.6) without problem.

  • The PSC-2000 is programmable with LabVIEW 2010 SP1 / Real Time 10.0.1?

I have a PSC-2000 camera I want to use for a small project.  I see on the site OR that it is said»

  • "Support for LabVIEW Real-time 8.5.1 and earlier" and "Support for Windows Vista and earlier versions.  It means that I can not use the latest version of LabVIEW (2010 SP1) with time real (version 10.0.1) running on a Windows 7 computer?  If not, what version of LabVIEW, real-time and operating system do I need?
  • When I tried to add a new target under LabVIEW 2010 SP1, the PSC-2000 was not among the choices.

As the support NOR documents indicate, you need LV version 8.5.1 or earlier to program the cFP-20xx devices family.  Version 8.5.1 of LabVIEW does not work under Win7.  You will need Windows Vista or something earlier like XP.

  • dynamically start VI selected on the target of the PSC

I'm under LabVIEW 2011SP1 on a Win7 machine. My application uses MFC to monitor temperatures and control 6 radiators (PID feedback) during heating and soak segments of a profile. Cooling segments are passive, without control aspects, I need monitor temperatures until some set point is reached, then another segment heating and dipping. I have coded segment heating, from set point via the shared variables in network to the PSC (cFP2200) controller. My thought is to write a second VI to follow the phases of cooling passive thte, but then I have to be able to switch back between the two screws on the target. This is the right approach (and if so how)? Or would it be better to make a huge VI to manage the two scenarios?

    TIA

    lmd2

You switch between them or you would be able to run in parallel with each other?

Of what you have described, I'd written a VI main to control the VI you've written as well as the new VI passive surveillance as the Subvi.

I work with Drew and thought I would give some info in case anyone else has this problem.  What we found was that somehow, the configuration of the controller became out of sync compared to what we had in the project.  In general, use us ftp to put the new version of the controller (PSC-2220).  If the configuration of e/s in the project has not changed this works very well.  However, if you add / remove a module or change the channel names, you will need to re - deploy the project e/s settings.  I think the other thing that can ruin is if you open MAX for troubleshooting & auto discover material.  It uses the default channel names, then it asks you to save when you exit & default settings are downloaded to the controller.  The controller will then poorly synchronized with your project, and in our case, we found that our exe just wouldn't (except if you are disconnected the 1804 that had the wrong settings).  We also found that you can solve this problem by using the ".iak" file that is created by the project, open it in MAX and save/download the parameters to the controller.  I hope this helps!

    Hello

If you received a blue error screen, or a stop code, the computer stopped abruptly to protect against data loss. A hardware device, its driver or software might have caused this error.

  • How to write to the file in the user defined interval

    Hello

I am trying to find a way to take samples of data in a stream of measures of constraint which came to Labview to a NI 9237 module. These samples must be written to a file for later analysis. The vi must be able to record a data explosion according to an interval defined by the user and sampling frequency.

For example, save at 10 Hz up to 10 seconds every 15 minutes.

My attempt to do this is attached (as you can probably see I'm a newbie to Labview).

In my example, I used a random generator to simulate my data to the NI 9237. Using a loop for, I tried to get the vi to write 5 data points in the file. However he writes the same data point in the file 5 times, instead of 5 successive observations.

Finally, I'd like the vi to write data in the file for a period of time (10 seconds) instead of writing a set number of data points.

Please can someone tell how should I do to achieve this?

    Thank you very much

    Something like that?

  • Align the PSC 750 printer ink cartridge error message.

I just replaced only the black cartridge in my printer PSC 750.  (Will replace the color cartridge later as my money allows.) The printer is connected to my laptop, MacBookPro, under OS X, version 10.6 operating system.  After replacing the cartridge, I ran a self-evaluation report.  It seemed to run correctly.  No color cartridge only test model because there is no ink in the cartridge.  Then I ran the process to align the print cartridge which gives an error on the printer.  It displays "error: Align page not detected" when I clearly placed the page alignment on the scanner glass.  Tried this process several times and each time I get this error message.

Could it happen because I have not yet replaced the color cartridge?  If not, then what?

Alignment requires the black and cyan (or was it yellow on this model?) part of the color cartridge to print for correct alignment.  If you have an old copy of the alignment page you can use it, although the alignment would be suboptimal.

Soak the printhead of the cartridge 78 in 1 "hot water for ten minutes and then gently the printhead from drying and put it back in the printer may allow enough ink complete the alignment page.

  • How to scan a document of several pages in a single pdf file using the psc 2510?

I have Windows 7, but the downloadable drivers for this OS, I cannot scan to a pdf file.

    Hi shepp066,

I understand that you have a PSC 2510 used with Windows 7 that you want to use to analyze PDF files.

Because your printer doesn't have any HP software for the operating system that you use I don't have a way for you to scan in PDF format. You want to look into some 3rd party scanning programs, and you can start by doing some research to CNET downloads because that's where I do a lot of my own research

Hope this helps, have a nice day!

    Hello

I suggest you to clear the CMOS and reset the BIOS to default settings. Contact the system manufacturer for assistance.

    Thanks and regards.

  • Blue light next to the PSC 2400 cartridge

I wonder because I can't find anywhere in the documentation.

I have a PSC 2400 (no network capabilities).

Next to the cartridge is a little blue light which is still active. You can see it on paper when it prints, and you can even see when opening the printer (for example, paper, stuck or when replacing the cartridges).

I wonder what 'blue' light is... Why is that?

It is inside the printer, next to the cartridge and moves with the cartridge. It is not an indicator of some sort.

    Thank you!

It's an old printer, but that the light operates as a sensor. Function of the printer, it helps with the process of alignment and remote sensing possibly different types of media/paper.
