Configuration of TCP/IP by using WDS

Hello

I am using WDS on Server 2012, I configured it and works very well, I have two files, WDS Client and answer of the Image files. the only thing that does not is when a machine is reimagee and a static IP address, it will not keep its IPs. He'll recover to DHCP. I tried to configure the component Windows TCPIP, WAIK, but could not understand the configuration of this option, any help is greatly appreciated. also most of our machines are hosted double, two network cards and two static IP addresses.

Thank you

    original title: alternate tcp/ip

If by "alternate TCP/IP configuration" you mean the settings on this screen--> http://tinyurl.com/42kbqqz, then, to quote Inigo Montoya, "you keep using that Word. I don't think it means what you think it means. »

The 'alternative' configuration settings tab, if you select "IP address private auto" (APIPA) or "specified user" is only used IF "obtain an IP address automatically" is set on the tab 'General' (http://tinyurl.com/8p9hn) AND the adapter cannot get an IP from a DHCP server.

Most cable networks use a DHCP server to automatically assign IP addresses.  In this case, just plug your Ethernet cable and you're automatically configured and connected.

If the problem is that your network requires a static IP address (that is, they use a DHCP server to automatically assign IP addresses), you will need a third-party network settings manager.  If you have an IBM (Lenovo) ThinkPad, you can use "Dial-up connections." • ESXi 4.0 on Dell 1850 this host doesn't support VT you have configured the virtual machine to use an operating system 64-bit client.

    Hello

, I have in 3 data centers Dell 1850, identical hardware configurations.  I installed Esxi 4.0 to the ISO from site Web de VMware dell custom help. He is successfully installed on all servers, without error at all. I've updated them all to the last generation, using VMware vSphere Client. I have a problem with one of the server when I want to use 64-bit machines, he realizes: this host does not support VT you have configured the virtual machine to use an operating system 64-bit client.  However, this host is not able to run 64-bit virtual machines or virtual computer has 64-bit support disabled. For more information, see http://www.vmware.com/info?id=152. I don't understand why I got this, servers are identical, versions of BIOS, firmware, and all updates are the same. There is also a warning in the configuration tab, on the State of health link.

Thanks in advance for any helpful suggestion.

Yes according to the description of CPU, it seems that they do not support intel VT:

  • Configuration of TCP Intercept

We currently have a set of routers Cisco 2900 (2911, I think) who manages our primary traffic. We have suffered some attacks, but have worked to get a resolution on the side of the UDP. We are also currently looking into an alternative IPS that should give us greater protection against the UDP and TCP protocols based attacks. In the meantime, I am considering options that would limit our vulnerability to TCP based attacks - TCP Intercept is one of these options.

From what I've read so far, I should be able to configure this on my 2900's. My question is: is there a risk associated with this configuration on these routers because they used for a primary connection in one of our data centers? In the past, we have experienced attacks > 10 GB against this tunnel of 1 GB. I suppose that if we are struck with anything that significant TCP interception probably will not help as much as the CPU of the router is likely to ankle (unless I'm wrong about this)? Again, this only would be an option in the short term so that the establishment of a better solution.

    Thanks in advance,

    Andrew

If you get hit with 10 GB/s of traffic and you have a 1 GB/s pipe anything you can do on your end will make a difference.  You would need help on the side of the service provider of the pipeline to solve.

I don't believe that a 2911 enough CPU punch to treat intercepts TCP 1 Gb/s - or even get a little close.  So yes, I think that the CPU will be well and truly peg.

So in short, I agree with all of your thoughts.

I would seek a beam power of fire Cisco ASA 5516, with some licenses of firepower.  In fact, maybe you should just jump on firepower 5555 beam to have a lot of spare horses to deal with these attacks.  The 5516 would be indexed, if he broke with that much traffic attack.

  • A HMI TCP can be used only with Labview with no material of CAP?

    Hello

I have an application where I have a DAQ card in a PC running a Labview application. I want to have a TCP HMI display in the next room where info can be displayed as well as entries digital operator. Is this possible? If so is there an example how to do that.

    Thank you

    John

    Hi John,.

Yes, it is certainly possible (I guess this PTC is National instruments, and you use the LabVIEW Touch Panel Module).  The best way to proceed would be to use shared variables to send information about a PC for the TPC network.  Here is a quick tutorial specific for the TPC-2006 and LabVIEW 8.2, but the process is similar across other HW.  Additional information on variable support shared for different versions HW and LabVIEW can be found hereand in the sections of links on this page.

Finally, there are examples of shared variable communication that install with the Touch Panel Module.  Head to the example finder (help > find examples...) and navigate to the Toolbox and Modules > Touch Panel > Networking > General.  Here you will find some examples of shared variables.  There are also some examples of TCP & UDP in this matter of networking which are another option.

    I hope this helps!

  • Configure Cisco Telepresence SX20 to use H323

The engineer back a configuration a model for this unit. Because SIP is not used by the seller which we will be conferences with I have to configure this device in the call manager to use H323. Can someone guide me where in Call Manager I can install this device to use the H323 Protocol.

CUCM is SIP only, if you need make a H323 call. You will need to either Setup of endpoint without CUCM self-sustaining, as Acevirgil mentioned, however it isn't bigger than its configuration already with CUCM. The other alternative is if you have a VCS or highway, or of those who can ensure Interworking using SIP to H323 and vice versa.

Do you know why the other side can't H323, is there a way to ensure the interoperability of H333-SIP calls?

  • Impossible to establish a VPN connection with a router configured as a Cisco server using client VPN 5.0.00.0340

    Hei guys,.

Please help me on this one because I'm stuck enough on her...

I am trying to connect to a Cisco 3700 router configured as a VPN server by using a VPN client and the VPN connection does not settle.

This is an extract from the log:

    130 12:48:30.585 07/01/11 Sev = Info/5 IKE / 0 x 63000001

    133 12:48:30.600 07/01/11 Sev = WARNING/2 IKE/0xE300009B
Impossible to authenticate peers (Navigator: 904)

SEND to > ISAKMP OAK INFO (NOTIFY: INVALID_HASH_INFO) for 200.100.50.173

I enclose the whole journal extract... The message "BOLD" is quite obvious, you mean, but I'm 100% sure, in the login entry, I typed correctly the group password: pass

My topology is very basic, as I am setting this up only to get a clue of the operation of the Cisco VPN. It is built in GNS3:
-2 3700 routers: one of them holds the configuration of the VPN server and the other would be the ISP through which the remote worker would try to establish a VPN connection. I am also attaching the configuration file for the router configured as a VPN router.

Behind the second router there is a virtual XP machine on which I have installed VPN client...

My connection entry in the customer is to have the following parameters:
Host: 200.100.50.173 , //which is the IP address of the VPNServer
Authentication-> authentication-> name group: grup1 password: pass / / I'm quite positive that I typed the correct password... even if the log messages are linked to a misidentification.

I use public addresses only, because I noticed there is a question about behind the NAT VPN connections and is not not very familiar to the NAT.

Another aspect which can be of any importance is that "allow Tunneling of Transport" in the tab Transport to the input connection is disabled

and the VPNServer router logs the following error message when you try to establish the connection:

    * 01:08:47.147 Mar 1: % CRYPTO-6-IKMP_NOT_ENCRYPTED: IKE 200.100.50.34 package was not encrypted and it should have been.
    * 01:08:47.151 Mar 1: % CRYPTO-6-IKMP_NOT_ENCRYPTED: IKE 200.100.50.34 package was not encrypted and it should have been.

You have no idea why I can't connect? Y at - it something wrong with my configuration of VPN server... or with the connection entry in the VPN client?

    Thank you

    Iulia

Depending on the configuration of the router, the group name is grup1 and the password is baby.

You also lack the ipsec processing game that you would need to apply to the dynamic map.

Here is an example configuration for your reference:

    http://www.Cisco.com/en/us/Tech/tk583/TK372/technologies_configuration_example09186a0080235197.shtml

    Hope that helps.

I didn't buy a data plan for the phone. I have a wireless modem for my desktop & wondering if I can use this to connect my phone to the web without buying data?

Yes. Basically, to do anything other than use of the phone, you need a data plan. Period.

    Loosie wrote:

Yes... See the above reading material.

    No.... not required.

PIN... hmmm... There are several definitions for this acronym in the world of BB. The most usual is a unique identifier, as an IP address or phone number, that is assigned to the factory to your BB. It is used to register your BB for various services (Yes, through a data plan) to identify your BB on the network.

    I hope this helps.

  • a configuration of VM for not using independent, no persistent record

I am configuring a Virtual Machine ESXI5 VMX file for not using independent, no persistent record.

in the vmx file and add it to the inventory, the virtual machine is not valid.  I have to either delete the keyword or # line birng the system back online.

Is it supposed to be a value for X and Y or a different key word to use?

x and is the abbreviation for controller and port

If you want to set the mode of

    scsi0:0.mode = persistent "independent-no.
    or

  • Need help to report on the configurations of the virtual machine using PowerCLI

    Hi guys,.

I try to shoot down vCenter virtual computer configuration details and am not having much luck with vCPU multicore machines.

Looking at the lists of VMS in vSphere Client, it offers a column "Number of CPU" basis and does not include any other granularity (i.e. in terms of casings & carrots as opposed to simply 'CPU Count').

I thought that maybe I have better luck using PowerCLI and essentially, the cmdlet "Get - VM" has the kind of information I'm looking for, but I find that it lacks a bit when it comes to vCPU details.  Essentially, it turns out that does not do much better than the list of virtual machines in vSphere Client because it produces only a "CPU Num" value, which is not particularly useful.

For example, if "processors Num" 4, that '4' means?  This could mean one of the following:

    • 1 x 4 drivers
    • Core 2 x 2
    • Basic 4 x 1

I hope someone out there can help produce me a list of virtual machines with details of configuration that includes both sockets & carrots for vCPU?

    Thanks in advance!

    Try like this

    Get-VM | Select Name, @{N="CPU";E={$_.ExtensionData.Config.hardware.numCPU/$_.ExtensionData.Config.hardware.numCoresPerSocket}}, @{N="Core per CPU";E={$_.ExtensionData.Config.hardware.numCoresPerSocket}}

    Hello

technically Yes, but it won't help you in a way. If the node with the DNS server dies your cluster will not work properly more.

However, for a test cluster, you don't need DNS. You can simply stay with 1 address for the SCAN, which is quite enough (for the test, no production). No need to go through the DNS installation. It would be an exaggeration to this configuration of VBox.
