Configuration of the battery of WS-C3850-48 t-S

I am looking for help on how correctly configure/create a new battery using two WS-C3850-48 t-S switches.

Here are two new switches directly out of the box and never been powered on/configured. What is a procedure to follow to configure these two switches to create the stack.

Mainly, configure switches switches 'stand-alone' first then plug the stackwise cables in, or do I connect the stackwise first cables, turn on switches can do the configuration?

Beyond that, what are the commands or the things I have to do this differ from the implementation of a stand alone switch

Thank you for your help.

Stack them in first and make your configurations.

Have a read of these have more knowledge on the subject

  • How to use 3750 in any configuration of the battery

We have just received a 3750 that has been configured as a member of the stack.  They just turned off the switches and send a us, and I would like to use it as a stand alone with no configuration of the battery.  I have tried everything I know, and he still regards as his share of a pile.  Do I need to use a different IOS?  Is it possible to use 3750 without stacking it?  No idea how to get it to function as a stand-alone switch completely?

    Thank you

    Hi Isala,

I understand the configuration you need, but as we think we can see that you will definitely use 3750 2 switches and they won't have to connect through a cable of the battery.

If they do not have to connect through a cable of the battery then they will certainly not going to be in the same stack thsu they can work as master of the battery and that will not affect them.

And as we know that HSRP is standard Cisco allowing the high network availability by provide redundancy to first jump to the hosts IP on an IEEE 802 LAN configured with a default gateway IP address. If switch 2 will work individuallly so they are not stacked.

  • Switch of the battery with etherchannel configuration

    Hello world

    I have 2 3750 switch stack.

I have config etherchannel between them.

    Here is the result

    2 Po2 (SD) LACP Fa1/0/15 (I) Fa2/0/15 (I)

The two ports are up on the rise but autonomous

Int port channel 2 is low down.

Need to know if it is a default when we config etherchannel between the switches to the battery?

    Thank you

    Mahesh

    Hello Manu,

If the switches are stacked, they are logically a switch.  You cannot use portchannel to connect one switch to another.

    You're basically looping ports together.

  • Satellite X 200-20 years do not go into hibernation mode when the battery is 2%

    Hi all

I just received my X 200 brand-new and very shiney and went through the normal procedures of change in VISTA power management settings, but I can't seem to enter the State of hibernation automatically. I have it configured such as a battery alarm critical (to 2%), the laptop should automatically enter Hibernation State save my data and downtime.

Unfortunately, this does not happen and he died right after that the battery level has dropped below the 2% limit. On re - boot (with power supply) VITSA tells me it has not been closed correctly. You don't say! :-)

I have configured laptops before using XP and have not had any problems. I know that VISTA it has many more options to set up and wonder if I'm missing something. I checked the help files for the VISTA and I seem to do the right thing.

I really would prefer to use Hibernate instead of sleep, but simply can't get to do on a critical battery level.

Does anyone have any ideas or suggestions?

    Thanks in advance

Hmm normally, it should be possible to set Vista power options to hibernate if the battery reaches a critical level.
I think you should try to reconfigure the settings.

Check the hibernation of different battery level. For example, you can set the level of hibernation at 10%. Please don t forget to apply settings ;)

By the way; I recommend to check the BIOS settings too.

  • What is the battery life of a Satellite L30-113?

    Hello
I think to buy this laptop for £299.99 from Play.com
However there is no mention of the battery life, and I really need to know what it is if I buy this laptop.

I'll use for net surfing, msn and DVD :-)
    Thank you.

    Hello

I know the machine, but main autonomy depends on the battery capacity. As I know come in two sizes: 2000 mAh and 4000 mAh.

If you use it just for surfing and etc, you will have a battery life of 2 hours with the 4000 mAh.
But be careful: If you have several applications that run in the background or opened, your battery life might be shorter. (more charges system means shorter battery life)

And finally and especially your battery life also depends on your powersaver settings, so you will need to find the configuration that fits for you (performance and battery life)

    Hope I could help you

  • Equium M40X-discharge the battery. Help, please!

I recently bought an Equium M40X - 149, and I did not understand why when the power adapter is plugged into the battery discharges and the computer turns off! So I returned to the store and they said it's just the cycle of the battery and I would need to go into bios to change the settings.
I went into the bios, but I couldn't find anything that I could change to stop it! Can someone point me in the right direction because this is inconvinient for me to keep taking the battery when I want to use the laptop!

    Thank you
    Gemma

    Hi Gemma,

Switching between AC and battery power is normally controlled by the Toshiba Power utility. You can check the configuration and parameters to confirm that you are not defined to use the power of the battery.

When the PC is turned off then a chip on the motherboard controls the battery when the power is connected. This prevents the overload (and damage resulting to) the battery.

If the problem persists, I would re - install the utility of Toshiba power from your utility disk or from the Toshiba web site.

  • Equium A60-191: application control status of the battery in the system tray?

I had to reinstall XP. This has caused the loss of pilots and probably other things that I don't know.

One of the elements lack seems to be the software or driver? for the battery. The battery is cooler at full power. The software located in the system tray used to indicate the power status and if it is ac or dc connected.

Any suggestions that I need and where I can get to fix this, please?

    Hello

I know you don t need the drivers or software for charge the battery to full power. Only what you need is the Toshiba Power saver utility.
This utility is very useful because you can set different power for portable use different modes. For example, if you disconnect the laptop computer of the energy-saving AC adapter will automatically switch to the mode of energy that has been configured for the use of the battery.
These methods help take care of the battery and increases battery life and it shows a battery status in the taskbar
But there is nothing to recharge the battery witch.

In my manual, I found a lot of info on the battery and how to manage the use of the battery. I think that the same information you will find in your user manual. Check it out.

The last possibility is a malfunction of the battery.
But in this case only a battery replacement will solve your problem.

If you want you can try to check if the same thing happens with the new battery.

  • When the battery drops below 50% the Satellite P200 turns off

Do I have to get a new battery or what?

    Hello

I guess you have preinstalled Vista.
Have you checked your vista power management configuration?

There you can assign some settings that would control the laptop turned off depending on the State of the battery.

I think you need to set it to a lower level for example 5%

  • New Satellite A100 - charge the battery before turning on?

    Hello

I'm new in the world of laptops and I will get an entry level Toshiba A100
Today, however, I am worried as to the time, I first want to charge the battery for 8 or so hours before starting the machine for the first time?

I ask because I heard that you can compromise the ability to charge using the battery when it is
already low (the 1st time) and configuration of the laptop, is it true?

  • Activate the battery Conservation Mode in Windows 10

Lenovo ThinkPad E540 laptop running Windows 10

When I got this machine, he was running Windows 7. With the help of Lenovo Power Manager, I was able to put the battery to load only when it fell below 40% and charge to a maximum of 80%. This configuration is designed to extend the useful life of the battery. My laptop is plugged in most of the time. I only use the battery for short periods.

When I put the battery always charged as he did in Windows 7 (from 40 to 80%), but I could not find a setting to fix this to upgrade to Windows 10. At some point, I installed a critical update of Lenovo. I think it was an update of the firmware. Since then, the charges of the battery to 100% every time I plug the. I want to charge the battery the way I used to. I saw this parameter called Mode of Conservation in online discussions.

This message indicates that it is possible to access the Conservation Mode in 10 Windows through the application of Lenovo settings:

    http://www.improdia.com/tech-tips/Lenovo-battery-conservation-Windows-10/

I followed the instructions in the post above, but my Lenovo settings app does not have a power for the Conservation Mode setting. I have the status of power, always on USB, rest of battery meter, but no Conservation Mode.

Does anyone know how to access the Conservation Mode in Windows 10? Or does anyone know how to get the same functionality via another way? Thanks in advance for your help.

As far as I know, this is not possible in Windows 10. This feature has been removed. I'm sorry.

  • Cannot charge the battery to 100% on X 1 carbon (A 20, 7) after the upgrade to Windows 10

I apologize if it's buried somewhere on the forum. I searched for hours, really, but did not find anything about exactly that.

After months of 'Upgrading to Windows 10' pop ups I finally did. On Windows 7, I was able to change my battery to 100% capacity before leaving for a business trip, then change it to the time where I went home. Now I can't find where to do and it won't load no more than 46%. I tried to download the Lenovo power manager that offered a job, but it doesn't have the menu item separate ' Power' as the instructions on the screen. I tried to uninstall the control method battery compatible ACPI Microsoft suggests another position, but that did not help either.

I have that option after having upgraded my Yoga 2 to 10 Windows Ultrabook. Enegery Manager is still responsible. I just want the same control on my battery on my X 1 as I have on my Yoga. Can someone help me?

    Thanking you in advance,

    Clare

I'll just throw this out there, no guarantee that your system has the exact configuration than mine or that I completely understand your problem: I have an application of parameters of Lenovo in my Windows menu. in this application of settings, there is a section of the battery, at the end of this section is a battery meter reset. I would start there get your battery threshold.

    I hope this helps.

  • Cannot open the component of the battery of the 3rd generation Apple TV remote.  The "cover" stripped is by using a coin to turn the cover counterclockwise. Any suggestions?

On the component of the battery of the 3rd generation Apple TV remote, the "lid" is getting stripped by using a coin to turn the cover counterclockwise. I even used a screwdriver flat head with a cloth & it will not always be open.

It is partially open, but I think there was some debris. I disabled the debris, but the "lid" is badly stripped. I stopped as I would not completely destroy the compartment cover. Any suggestions?

I had a similar problem with another camera, but a very similar configuration, a round lid on a stack of pancakes about two years ago. I got to have adhesive PuTTY handy of Museum at the time.  I took enough Putty to cover the circular cover, let it sit for just a moment, or so that he could 'stick' (it's not like glue, it will come off easily). I have enough of the dough (about a 3/4 inch ball) used to create a handle and everything pushing down pretty firmly on the sealant to keep it on the cover, I did one-quarter turn and cover came out. I just took my money AppleTV 3 remote out of storage and tried this technique on her, and she seemed to cling to the coverage and helped me with the tour. My remote money is not received tap stuck like yours and the housing is in good condition. But it might be interesting to try. If you live in Irvine, California you should probably have some of this PuTTY on hand. It is usually used to prevent the fall during an earthquake of trinkets and other fragile objects of light weight. If all else fails, a new remote money is always available on the Apple Store for $19. Good luck.

  • ART and the battery issues

Hi all! It's been a while since my last post here. Having spent of a Bionic to a Razr Maxx HD to a Moto X 2014 and recently a Droid Turbo... I have a few questions.

I noticed that when I charge the phone using the Turbo charger, the phone tends to run a bit hot. Is this normal? I wouldn't say it's warm to the touch, very hot well. I got up the phone all together and the battery life took a hit from that, but everything around the battery doesn't seem to be as long as I thought. I had it with a low light and not too much use, dip below 20%, twice in the last hours 9. So about 65 percent of 9 hours battery drain. I never had a problem like this on my Razr Maxx HD or the Moto X 2014. He gets better?

Another issue I have is that I recently spent at Runtime in the Dalvik for ART Developer options (so it is faster when the update of lollipop coming and for other benefits) but I found that when I turn on the phone, he optimized 253 all apps I had. Not a big deal, that happened when my X 2014 updated to 5.0. The question came when the phone charged the homescreen app command would not be responsible and I could not close the screen. So I turned off the phone, and when he turned he said he was 58 optimization apps. The app of command worked. I decided to do more market 3 times and now whenever I turn on the phone, it has to re-optimize 58 apps, can we explain why it does this or how do I do to stop?

    Thanks in advance!

    Joe

The only solution, I know, is to return to the Dalvik for now. For some reason just ART don't play well with the Turbo running the latest OS of KitKat.

The 5.1 update, if and when it happens, should solve this problem because the ART is the default operator in this configuration.

  • Question about replacing the battery in Aspire E15 E5 - 574 G

So, I bought an Aspire E 15 E5 - 574G from newegg because I need a new laptop and did not want to spend a lot of money. What never occurred to me until after that I paid because it was the battery was replaceable, further research after that newegg delivered to me, I discovered that it wasn't. I wonder if someone could tell me if the battery goes bad can I send the computer to acer and I got the fixed battery or I'll essentially having to buy a new laptop when he dies. I need a laptop with a battery that is replaceable, because I handle my machine a lot, if the battery is really not replaceable reliable, so I was wondering if I should ship the computer to newegg a refund and look for a computer acer laptop with a battery that I can replace.

    Thanks for any help

First thing, you need to check, the laptop that you bought from Newegg is under warranty or not. To help you check this, please find the link given below and enter the computer laptop serial number of product on the area of warranty status:
