confused on the sharing of the family

I was watching the apple music and sharing family came. I know that my family has all different apple ID and I was wondering because some of us do have a credit card for this that we can simply use our gift cards without having to ask the main person for permission, because we have our own apple ID. For example: whenever someone wants to get and app or film it will go to the main person with the credit card permission even if people have their own gift cards and apple ID?

  • Extremely confused by the family sharing

I'm trying to set up a family music subscription and it was extremely unpleasant and difficult.  I have music works on my iPhone (organizer), but on my child iPad mini, when I pull up the music, he doesn't seem to have a subscription (request 3 month trial).  I've been going in circles for a few hours now trying to figure out what I did wrong - I have set up a group family, turned on sharing, etc..

My question is this: when I open the family member in icloud on his iPad, under purchases families, this account must be of the organizer or the Member of the family.

Should I be signed in his iTunes on the iPad?  I found the idea of the family sharing that each could have their own accounts and purchases and subscriptions could be shared.

  • Are automatically shared Contacts with the members of the family of a device for all devices of the family? One device uses IOS9 and others are using IOS10.

Members of the family can share Contacts?  A member of the family is on IOS9 and others are on IOS10. Our calendars are sharing but not our contacts?

No, sharing of family does not share Contacts. He shares:

    Purchases

    Family Photo album

    Family calendar

    Location sharing

my daughter has every music we want to pass the family sharing the will she lose her purchases

    Mvangordon,

She will be able to keep all purchases on his account.  See this document:

    Family shares - Apple Support

Note that "all eligible songs, albums, movies, TV shows, books and applications already bought by members of the family are immediately available for everyone in the family."

In the future if she leaves the group sharing of the family, she is no longer able to share purchases, but she will always keep its own.

  • How can I see history in-app purchase for members of the family sharing?

I use the sharing of family and try to view the purchase history of my family members.  I know that I can tap into "updates" and discover complete an individual family members buying it in the App Store (on my phone).  But I don't see a way of watching the in-app purchases made by these people.  App iTunes on my computer, the purchase history displays only purchases made by my personal Apple ID.

How can I view the purchase history WHOLE (including in-app purchases) for members of the family share?

You can see total buying an iTunes via the computer iTunes account: see your purchase history in iTunes on Mac or PC - Apple Support store

You can also view past purchases for 90 days by http://reportaproblem.apple.com

(What shows in the updates is not necessarily a complete list of bought/downloaded apps - applications that have been removed from the store will not show, more than apps that the person has hidden from the cloud not show incompatible applications.)

  • Family sharing: every Member of the family needs of different Apple ID? Non-Apple ems can participate?

For many years - members of our family were Non-Apple, "PC users. 2 of us bought iPads. Read us carefully, which seemed to be legal briefs explaining specific Apple buys. We are Post grad educated adults. We have tried to read the 'fine print' Apple, but I guess that not ALL of us are not as intellectual as the "Tech Writers' @Apple.

Outstanding issues:-does not include members of the family in 'Sharing of the family' nor iCloud Photos (stored in icloud). -Is that each and every PC using the Member of the family, need to connect only with Apple ID? "ITunes game is" separate object Apple ID too? Finally, how many times can you change as a manager of Apple account with credit card, so "readily" available iTunes purchases without a warrant of a judge of the circuit court? Seems to my family, no, w/o peripheral non-Apple, can't do much, only with these iPads. Would appreciate answers polite, helpful, non-judgmental ppl who feel, if we don't have an in-depth knowledge of Apple, they are NOT intellectually challenge. Thank you

I try to analyse questions strung together.

"- Cannot include members of the family in 'Sharing of the family' nor iCloud Photos (stored in icloud)." I don't understand this.  Members must have an Apple ID, which you then invite to share.  Family shares - http://support.apple.com/kb/HT201060

    Yes, everything works with AppleIDs.

An iTunes subscription game is one by AppleID, not shared.  There is a similar feature which operates as part of a subscription to Apple's music for which there is a family subscription option.

The system is configured to work with the software and Apple devices even if part of the software is available in Android and Windows.

  • IPhone 4 ios 7 can not get on the family sharing for itunes

Hi, my son got a new second hand phone. try to get him on the family sharing so he can listen to the music, but whenever he's trying to do a song, his view as a purchase. his name is included, but it has version 7. We have updated the phone on itunes and its not updated it to ios8 one had success with this?

    Thank you

    Hello evechoccy!

Thanks for reaching out on the share of the family option does not arise with the iPhone of your son 4.

The reason for this is the iPhone 4 can only go to iOS 7 and sharing of the family did not become an option until iOS 8 and later versions. You can see the family sharing requirements here: family shares - Apple Support

    Kind regards.

  • With the help of the family sharing or itunes game

I have iTunes game and sharing of family. Everything seems to work with the iTunes game for my equipment. My question is how do I set up my wife's iPhone to access our iTunes music game? My wife is my; Member of the family there.

Is your iTunes glad owen Match you want to share? Maybe that's a problem: What are the types of content can I share with sharing family?-Apple Support

    What you can't share

    • Songs added to iTunes game who have not bought on the iTunes Store.
  • added to the family sharing with strangers

I received a notification on my iPhone that I had been added to the family sharing and just assumed that it was an announcement of a new feature of Apple. Shortly after, I received a notification that a name I didn't recognize left my family. I went into my settings and saw that I was on a list with a few people at random. I left the band and changed my password to iCloud. No idea how it happened, or if I need to worry about what anyone?

    Welcome to the Apple community.

Unless you accept an invitation to join the family sharing, the administrator had to know your password for to add you themselves. If that's what happened, and you don't really know these people, then you must immediately change your password.

Of course, it is possible that someone invited you by mistake.

  • How can I implement the family sharing with separate billing?

I want to implement sharing of the family, but would prefer that the purchases made by the members of the family have been charged to their own methods of payment rather than mine (as a family organiser).

When family members purchases will be deducted from the balance (if they have a), or taken from map of the organiser (if they do not have a balance or if it does not cover the purchase, in which case the excess will be charged at map of the Organizer), a member may not use their card for purchases (and any balance on the account of the Organizer cannot be used).

  • Sharing the family allows no more than one card associated with the account

When in the family sharing there not a way to link the two cards? One for each parent/guardian?  Seems silly to charge only one card, when people still sometimes have separate bank accounts... is there a way around this?

That's how the family sharing is designed. Only one, the Organizer is responsible for all payments.

The only exception to this is if any family member has an iTunes gift card redeemed to their account, purchases Member makes is deducted from the gift card first, before using the organizers payment method.

  • Is there a maximum number of family members in sharing the family?

I have 6 children, 4 of them have iPads and are members of our family share. However, I can't add the latest to get an iPad. The Add button is it in settings > iCloud > family shares but it is grayed out and not the device. I tried my iPhone and my iMac but can't add? Is there a maximum number of members of the family to a family or something else crashes me to add? Thank you in advance for your help!

See the quote below from http://www.apple.com/icloud/family-sharing/

Family sharing makes it easy for up to 6 people in your family share of each and other iTunes, iBooks and App Store purchases without sharing accounts. Families with the same credit card purchases and approve kids' expenses directly from the device of a parent. Share photos, a family calendar and more to help keep everyone connected. And with a family membership of Apple's music, up to 6 people can get full access to the Apple's music, too.

  • Where can I register for the sharing of the family?

I can't find where I can register for family sharing.  I have connected to my account iCloud as the person who will be responsible, and I don't see an option in the settings.  With the help of family sharing stuff would be appreciated. I have 2 teenagers with their own accounts iCloud and an elementary kid who we do not want to constantly make additional funds for applications and music, that someone has already purchased in our family.  Thank you.

  • Sharing photos of family not appearing album is not in the Photos app

    Hello world

I have a family of shared iCloud album to which my wife downloaded a few dozens of photos of Christmas and videos. They appear on my phone (although I can not import everything from here that you cannot import videos on iOS for some weird reason), but only 3 items appear in the family album shared the pictures to Mac. This has already happened and is extremely frustrating - it means basically has no way for me to import these items in my library. Has anyone encountered this problem? Thank you.

On your Mac disable my stream of photos and iCloud, photo sharing in the system/iCloud preferences window

and in the Photo iCloud preferences window.

Reboot and reactivate the two respectively. It helps to start photo stream.
