Connect mobile NI 9144 to the cRIO 9022

Hi homer210788,

EtherCAT is a deterministic communications protocol, so it is not all real way to communicate wirelessly with the controller and 9144.  Out of curiosity, what is your application, and why do you want to make wireless?

Anyone can help with installing Software NI 9022 by MAX

I connect OR cRIO-9022 with an Ethernet.

I was faced with a time-out error and saying that whether online or not, to the extent of the im concern its connected in safe mode as he always has no software in it.

    Please see the attached file.

It is probably a detail of networking.

It seems that you have a link-local address on your cRIO (169.x.x.x) which means that you should always have your computer configuration using DHCP. If you have a static IP address on your computer, try to return to "obtain an IP address automatically".

If this does not work, I will try to set a static IP address on your PC to install the software and the cRIO. Once you get the cRIO software installed, you can switch everything back to DHCP.

  • FPGA. What tool xilinx for Crio-9022 & 9030

Hello. I will be compiling the programs of fpga on the Crio-9022 and 9030. You need Xilinx different compilers to do the task?

With the help of LV ver14

    CRIO-9022 requires xilinxs 14.7 tool?

CRIO 9030 requires the xilinx tools vivado 2013.4?

    Thank you

Yes, it's because of the different FPGA series located on the backplane of the 9022 and 9030 cRIOs.  You can see this KB and this KBto see below why.

    Hi good morning vitrion:

You can connect cRIOs to any wireless router and configure them correctly. We haven´t has worked with this particular wireless router, but based on the specifications on the Web Sony´s is a regular wireless router. You can use any wireless router to configure your cRIO.

    I hope this works.

  • OR Communication CANOpen cRIO-9022 (9853 CAN module) and EPOS2 MAXON

    Hi all

I am implementing a control loop of speed on my motor Maxon EPOS2 controller, using the AOP, sent through my real time controller (OR cRIO-9022) with a DRUM module (9853).

I set up the mapping of the PDO in the dictionary of the object of the EPOS2, so that each new RxPDO1 contains the new speed desired highlighted, and I try to use the simple example in the standard Canadian example directory criocanopenbaisc (downloadable for free here http://zone.ni.com/devzone/cda/epd/p/id/5474).

Can I change manually in the object dictionary the value of the desired speed using the studio tool EPOS by logging in through the port USB the EPOS2 to my computer, but when I connect the EPOS2 to the port of cRIO CAN0 values recently sent has no effect.

To try first the .vi file hung on the AOP read command, which is just after the AOP command write. I guess that means that no real PDO is sent via the CAN bus. However, I have excluded the diagram of the PDO 'read', now the file runs and ends but no command is sent to the EPIC. I can check with an oscilloscope that many similar digital waveforms are sent, as if no ACK signal has been received.

After several attempts, I sent AOP structured in the following way:

COB - ID (4 bytes containing the COB - ID for RxPDO1 U32 representation: 531)

Updated value (4 bytes containing the representation of the value of the desired speed, U32).

    0 in U32

    0 in U32.

The last two U32 are then sent to be consistent with the example of the nicanopenbasic of library OR.

For the moment, a signal is sent (no more repetitive signals representative communication fault), but the values are not updated in the EPOS2...

    See you soon

  • cRIO-9074 ethercat with a switch/hub between the cRIO and slaves

Hi, I have a cRIO9074 I'll use 7 JVL EtherCat Mac800 motor control.  Engines are fairly spaced, so I use a switch of CU2005 EtherCat Beckhoff 5 ports between the readers and the cRIO with 2 motors in series on three legs and a motor on a port by itself.  My problem is that labview will not find all engines unless one of the ports on the switch motor is plugged, or a line of engine is connected directly to the port ethercat cRIO.  He has no problem see two engines on the same line, it just will not see one of them if more than one line of motor is connected to the switch ethercat.

    Thus, HALP!

  • IP address on the cRIO-9075

I have a cRIO-9075 serving piece of alternative/backup for one of our production test systems.  I was about to try a new code on this backup, but I can't connect to it.  I searched in MAX and tried to ping to the IP address that it should be, but I get no response.  It has been configured with a static IP address so it would be ready to be deployed if necessary.

Is there anyway that I can get back to the default IP address so I can connect to it?

Take a look at page 17 of the user of 9075 Manual: http://www.ni.com/pdf/manuals/375650b.pdf

To reset the IP address of the 9075 you will need to walk through the following steps:

1 press and hold to reset for 5 seconds, then release. The status light
comes on, then starts to blink three times every few seconds. The
chassis is now in safe mode with the release of the compatible serial port.
You can use a serial port terminal to read the IP address of the
controller. If you want the controller to a new DHCP protocol
    connection, go to step 2.

2 press and hold to reset for 5 seconds, then release. The status light
Repeat the same behavior. The cRIO-9075/9076 trying to establish
a new connection to DHCP. If he fails, he attributes to a link-local
IP address. If the DHCP connection is effective and appropriate for
your application, go to step 4.

    3. configure the IP address and other network settings in MAX.

    4. press and release the Reset button to restart the chassis.

  • Extraction of fundamental characteristics - Watchdog Agent VI could not download the cRIO

    Hello

I design an application in real time on one OR cRIO-9022, using the Watchdog Agent made by IMS Center toolkit.

During the loading of my VI on CompactRIO, I get the following error message:

Deployment SoundVib_Resampling.lvlib:oa_CIC Interpolation Interpolation Filter.vi Filter.viSoundVib_Resampling.lvlib:oa_CIC loaded with errors on the target and was closed.
LabVIEW: unable to load the shared library sndvib. *: OatCICInterpolatorByMovH:C. to ensure that the library is present on the target of RT. MAX allows you to install software from OR or FTP to transfer custom RT target libraries.

I found that when I place the 'base Feature Extraction' VI within a 'disable diagram Structure', the deployment was successful, then the problem comes from this VI.

The error message tells me to install a library on the cRIO, but I don't know where to find it.

    Thanks for you help,

  • Deploying the cRIO controller host VI

When I include a Variable Shared Network-Published in my host VI, VI wants to deploy on my cRIO.  Without the shared Variable Network-Published, it runs on the host as planned.

Yes, the Sub host VI post work and VI RT is under the lens of the LabVIEW project.

How to use a shared variable in a VI to run on the host computer?  I need to pass data between my RT VI running on the cRIO and a host VI running on a Windows host.

    Hello Shall12,

I misinterpreted your posts original - this option should be changed to the target on which variables are deployed.  Based on your screenshot, the library is contained on the RIO and should be changed it.  The behavior you're seeing is described in more detail here:

  • UDP communication via secondary ethernet port on the cRIO-9074 problem.

    Hi guys.

I connected my host pc running LV 2010 my cRIO-9074 port using a main ethernet crossover cable. I want to use the second port ethernet on the cRIO-9074 to read UDP messages, and I want to access these messages on my host. UDP messages are sent from a local network, but for testing I also use a second pc running LV 2010 to send UDP messages.

I configured the ethernet on the cRIO-9074 ports according to this tutorial: "knowledge base 4E0DGASK: Configure the Ports of double Ethernet on real-time controllers'." " My host and primary ethernet port belong to 'Subnet A' while the second port and the second computer, sending UDP messages belong to 'Subnet B' (at the end of my post I will list the masks of ip addresses and the subnet).

For simplicity, I used the VI´s of this example as a basis for UDP communication. The "UDPServerOnRemoteTarget.vi", which broadcast messages UDP, will run on the secondary computer. The "UDPClientOnRemoteTarget.vi", which reads messages UDP, will work on my host pc.

Now, in the 'UDPServerOnRemoteTarget' VI, you must specify two IP addresses (port # remained unchanged at 3363):

1: the IP address of the ethernet port that will be broadcast UDP messages.

2: the IP address of the ethernet port that will receive the messages.

In the #1 case I put the IP address to the IP address of the ethernet on the secondary pc port.

At the #2 I tried to set the intellectual property: a) IP address of the secondary ethernet port on the cRIO, b) IP address of the ethernet on my host computer port and c) IP address of the primary ethernet port on the cRIO.

None of the parameters produced results. I also tried to change the port number, which did not help.

However, if I bypass the cRIO and connect the host pc and the secondary computer directly (by using a cable crossed a regular cat5 ethernet cable), I am able to send and receive UDP messages (the two stand-alone always are on different subnets). I guess that this at least excludes any fault in the VI´s code.

Does anyone know what I'm doing wrong here? Is it possible at all to read the UDP messages that are sent to the secondary ethernet port on the cRIO my host pc?

I have searched the entire site OR and forums, but didn't come through all that solved my problem. Most of the other tutorials configuration resembling my case is to import the device sends UDP messages in the project, but which is clearly not possible in my case, or is it?

    My IP settings are:

    cRIO 9074:

    Primary ethernet port: 169.254.62.215

    Secondary ethernet port: 192.168.0.102 (static)

    Host PC: 169.254.58.4

    Secondary PC: 192.168.0.144 (static)

SubnetMask on all ports are the value 255.255.0.0

I hope someone out there can help me out.

    Kind regards

    Phat

    Solved.

Stupid mistake. I was running the VI on the host instead of the cRIO pc, which explains why direct communication between the computers worked. Everything works well when it is compiled for the cRIO.

  • Error trying to build the cRIO RT application

    Hi all

I ran the program from a computer with labview for the cRIO and it works very well.  I've attached a screenshot of my main block diagram because he said it could be a bad path?  Any advice?  And it comes to labview 2011.

    Thank you

If you're still having problems, you can ensure that you don't have spaces or special characters in one of your names in VI. And check all references to the paths absolute or relative to your subVIs.

The Advanced tab of the Build executable window has a few options that you can try to change. You can uncheck 'Copy error code files' and check the 'use LabVIEW 8.x file layout' options. A final step would be to turn on debugging see if that clears the error message.
