Connect my scanner HP for my MAC Mini

How can I connect my HP Officejet 5610 all-in-one scanner to my MAC mini? I get a message on my printer that says go to unit Documents. My printer is about five years old. Can I use updates of device for a MAC that is listed in my manual? Thanks in advance for any help on this.

Hi Cass,

I would like you to try some more things, like running the scrubber and fixing disk permissions:

---

1) click the Go menu (click on the desktop, then watch the menu in the bar at the top of the page)

(2) select Applications

(3) select the Hewlett Packard folder (if it is not there, then you can skip this step all)

(4) to select the program to uninstall HP

(5) click on continue

(6) select the printer.  Press and hold down Ctrl + Options + order at the same time the keys on the keyboard (Apple).

(7) click on uninstall

(8) you will get a pop-up window - "Are you sure want to uninstall all the HP software"

9) click OK to continue

---

After doing the above, go ahead and install the thread linked at the earliest in this pilot.

I would like to know if it works!

  • Better conservation to use for the Mac Mini Server

    Hi all

I have a Mac Mini, I want to start using a server around the House. Manage other Macs around the House, centralized Time Machine and are also used as a file server for both Windows I have machines.

Therefore, a Mac Mini with 500 GB of storage, so I obviously need to add much more. Ideally, I'd like to build a 5 4 Bay RAID system but it is there, I seem to be failing and need help. I seem to have 3 options - stroke of lightning, USB, or NAS.

Love at first sight seems to be too much and a lot of people say he exaggerated in any case for a home installation

NAS seems to be the most cost-effective way, but then negates the point of the Mac server still?

USB looks good, but I can't find any decent USB enclosures, are there who would recommend?

    Thanks in advance

    Mike

Unfortunately, many would say that Macs are not appropriate to use as real servers for businesses, however some do and for small businesses, they are perfectly usable. Obviously in a situation of host concern the most appropriate a Mac as a server is completely different.

While the most common choice for the storage of a Mac server these days would be an external RAID Thunderbolt for example the promised Pegasus R4 and R6 lines, I agree for a location that a NAS solution may be more appropriate.

A NAS can act as a universal file for Mac and Windows PC server, should not let the Mac on all the time, and most NAS devices support also act as a Time Machine backup server. However, some people say that based NAS servers Time Machine are not reliable enough and you may use a real solution of Apple as a Capsule or a Mac running Server.app and sharing a drive as a destination of Time Machine.

I agree somewhat that NAS based Time Machine systems will not be as reliable as a real Apple one, but I'd also probably say that they are not either completely useless. For example, I use a NetGear ReadyNAS as a system of Time Machine and I'm pretty happy with it.

In addition, for external storage, there are additional options.

    • USB, as you said
    • FireWire is always possible even if you suddenly need lightning to FireWire adapter, you can even get a FireWire RAID solution
    • Love at first sight as the promised Pegasus system I mentioned
    • NAS - you can connect to it via NFS and "re - share" via AFP via the Mac server
    • iSCSI Ethernet to a NAS system, could be directly at a customer or could be're-shared' via AFP
    • Fiber Channel to aid suddenly in love with FDDI card and then have a configuration Fibre Channel SAN - very expensive and often used by video editors
    • Maybe a bolt of lightning to eSATA adapter, then an eSATA storage solution
  • port for the Mac mini network problems

I got the internet service of work Friday.

On Sunday, I tried to connect and he could not,

I have a network cable goes from the modem for my express from the airport and from there to my mac mini.

I pulled up the Airport utility and it didn't show my Airport Express at all.

I have connected the network cable in my mini to work around the airport. Still no connectivity, even after resetting the modem and other.

I've tried a few things, and the only way I could connect the mini to the internet is to connect my Dell laptop with the express and then connect the mini via WiFi.

So my mini will not recognize a connected ethernet cable (seen through the utility network) but can connect to the internet.

    It happened to other institutions.

  • Wake on Lan for a Mac Mini running Leopard does not

Don't know where to best this post, but here's.  I'm trying to set up a Mini as a server of music for my audio system.  The Mini is a core 2 duo with 1 GB of RAM of 2009 I think.  Can I upgrade to Snow Leopard (possibly Lion/10.7 if I improve memory, what can I do anyway).  The mini is on a local network using a Netgear router and is only connected through wifi.  No ethernet.  The Mini is connected to a DAC by USB, and which is connected to the audio system.

I want to run this without screen and keyboard and rely on my iPhone or my MBAir to control the Mini via screen sharing.  I want to leave the Mini sleep don't no need then to wake up when I want music.  Problem is, I can't get the Mini to wake up.  I tried the Wake on Lan and other tools of waking distance so I can start playing the music, but I can't seem to wake up.

I have the correct MAC address and IP address (I booked a local IP address for him).  I'm sure that the two computers are on the same network.  I put the Mini to wake on lan in energy saver prefs.

    Any suggestions?  Thanks in advance!

Hi, I have not 10.5 available now and just ask...

Don't know what are these applications, but if you want to get rid of them simply uninstall them by moving to the trash.

Alternatively, you can use the Adobe Creative Cloud cleaning tool to solve installation problems

  • Can I use a screen larger than 27 "on Mac Mini?

    Hello

I would get a screen larger than my current 27 "of my Mac Mini and I wonder if my Mini (by 2012) would support a new monitor around this size. Any suggestions appreciated

    Some screens may work through a Thunderbolt by adapter connection;

You may need to check what specification and then if the

the numbers are what you can tolerate. If you really a 2011

Screen or another model by 2012, spec Mac Mini support

will vary. To correctly identify the model year of construction unit and not

year sold, it is more direct. Also by looking for serial number.
