Connect my Soundbar to TV with hdmi

Hi I just bought a Toshiba 40L5453D smart TV and also a Toshiba PA5075E-2SPA mini soudbar and sub wireless.

Have all two HDMI ports, but it seems that my TV has only HDMI in and not out... There is no option on the sound to pass, so I am currently using the headphone jack... Any ideas?

Thank you

If you do not have a receiver to your audio, you can not use the sound bar HDMI inputs, as televisions never offer the output HDMI Sockets. Receivers AV only do,
extract the audio and bypass the video signal to the display. But, you can just use the optical-IN of your Soundbar instead to transmit the digital audio signal, as the TV offers a perspective - TAKEN, you'll need is an optical cable.

  • HP Notebook: connection to my home theatre with HDMI

I bought this laptop (M5R09UA #ABA) to broadcast content from the internet to my home theater system.  I hung on my receiver (it runs all the audio options and passes through the video) through my HDMI port.  I get the output as a second screen on my laptop, but the image that appears on my TV is slightly cropped on all edges.  I want to adjust the settings of the screen on my laptop to compensate for, but I can't find a setting on my configuration screen of the video display (AMD A8 - 7410 APU with AMD Radeon R5 graphics card).  I suspect that the problem is the limits of the graphics card on my laptop.

What should I do to remedy this situation.

It turns out that I got an update for my video card AMD with new configuration software. The software has a routine for flat screen televisions. In this program, there is an adjustment for on scan. Once I set up my screen, my problem has been resolved.

  • Second screen with HDMI audio source after connection or wake

It is a very minor issue, but one I still dealing with.

I have a BenQ RL2455M monitor connected to my MacBook Pro w / retina with HDMI. I plug headphones to listen to music and talk on Skype on the plug headphones of the MBP. It all works perfectly.

The question arises when first connecting my laptop to the monitor (plugged the HDMI cable) or when waking up the laptop from sleep. If my helmet was left plugged in the headphone during this process, so I have no sound. Sound is sent through the HDMI. I have to unplug and plug in the headset to steal her back.

Of course, El Capitan is the choice the newest device to use for output. It makes sense, when you first connect the HDMI, but less after sleep.

In addition, this occurs when only my screen is in sleep mode and not my "computer". I changed this setting to 3 hours, because I had some programs that are not keep the laptop awake.

  • E535 on TV with HDMI connection

I must be missing something - I'm trying to connect my E535 HDMI output to the HDMI input on my LCD of Panasonic Viera TV.  I joined the two ends of the cable to the corresponding ports, and I get nothing.  I select HDMI 1 or 2 on the TV and still nothing.

I also tried to toggle the selection of the display F6 key, although I think it is active only when you are using the correct VGA port?

Lenovo manual is fairly brief on the issue of DVI, so someone can tell me what I need to do in Panel or elsewhere to get the display of the computer on the TV with HDMI?  Thanks in advance.

I don't want to remove the cable by attaching (preferably) using two different devices.  This is not the laptop or TV.

Second choice would be portable computer connecting to a different TV or connect a different device to your TV. Or if you can borrow another HDMI cable.

It is quite normal for the cable to be a little hard to connect.  She must be aligned both the up/down and left/right.

  • Toshiba 22L1334G problems with HDMI

First of all, thanks to all for trying to help me :)

Now let's make the problem: I bought this TV yesterday and I immediately connected on my PC (video card AMD R9 270 X) with an HDMI cable (the cable is Rev. 1.4 and less then 1,5 m).

The global definition is very good, but I have in fact 2 problems:
first of all, the colors are very saturated and can't do their natural even if the video card values.

Second, the text with fonts bit if it's not black is very blurry pixeled, very difficoult to read.

O Google searching I found similar problems for many people, but they have solved the problems, simply assign the HDMI PC input.

Unfortunately, they used Samsung or LG screens and there in my Toshiba is not the parameter to indicate the HDMI signal PC.

What can I do to use this device as a monitor in the right direction?

    Hello

First of all I must say that this device isn t 22L1334G Toshiba PC monitor but it s a TV that can be connected to the computer via the available RGB (VGA) port.

Thus, in case you want to connect a computer to this TV and want to use it as an external monitor, you should use the VGA port available

I must say that I had the same problems in the past with blurry fonts using the HDMI port.
I connected a device combined monitor/TV and connected my laptop to an external monitor s HDMI port.

Blurry fonts were really a pain using office applications, but I found a solution; my device supported an additional DVI port and I was able to connect my laptop to monitor cable HDMI-DVI.

My other monitor takes care of one other manufacturer supports additional parameters to change the sharpness of police so I can use the HDMI port.

  • Skype on tv through ipad2 with hdmi adapter?

Is it possible Skype on tv through ipad2 with hdmi adapter? I am attentive 4 my 94-year-old father who has low vision & hoped us could buy the hdmi adapter to use Skype on his big screen tv. It has the Skype app on his tv, but for that we would have a limited use won't have to buy a TV camera. TNX for any suggestion,

  • HP PAVILION SLIMLINE S3370.UK: update ATI 2400HD to one with HDMI graphics card

Looking for some advice - I have this HP PAVILLION S3370 with this 2400HD ATI graphics card machine

The reason why I'm looking to upgrade the card is simply for HDMI support. I have bought converters and VGA splitters but had problems with resolutions where I'd get a display on a screen and a message put on the other, so I thought that I should just upgrade the card to one that has two vga and a HDMI output in this way I can project to the second screen and with a card with the sopport software update I should be able to adapt to the screen with scaling options - as I can on my other machine - and yet always use the computer screen when I want to sit at my desk.

The problem I have is the technical terms of the cards. I uderstand that due to having a HP Slimline I need a low profile & PCI Express x 16 card but newer cards make no mention of DDR2 SDRAM - and instead, I know GDDR3 - I'm asuming it is just the memory of the card use - type, but that would be coimpatable with the installation of my machine?

For example this map would be a suitable replacement? EVGA NVIDIA GT 610 Graphics Card - 1 GB If Yes can you contact why. If this is not suitable could make you alternative suggestions - thank you.

I apologize for the niavity of this issue - but it's been years since I have been embarrassed to have to upgrade graphics cards and I forgot the more I find myself with. I am based in the United Kingdom and the machine itself is running Windows 10 - the current graphics card manages the Sturmovik game Sim plane no problem and while I want to really just support HDMI for streaming movies I don't want to lose my support in game.

Thanks for reading and checking links - we appreciate it.

    Hello:

I think you should be able to squeak by with this card and derisory of your PC power supply 160W.

The AMD Radeon attracts a maximum of about 20 Watts and the GT610 around 29 Watts.  IMO, 9 Watts is not that big of a difference to blow your PC power.

I see that it comes with low profile brackets, so there is no problem with this arrangement, etc.

You're right about the memory.  That concern me too much back in the day, that the memory graphics specification did not spec PC's memory.  Graphics memory is independent of the PC's memory, and there is no conflict.

The only thing I don't know... but easy enough to fix.

The PC being produced in 2007 may have a BIOS that does not include how video cards with HDMI ports work regarding audio.

On these old PC several times when you install a video card with HDMI output, the PC think that not only you have installed a video card, but that you have also installed a sound card (because of the HD audio chip on the video card).

Thus, the BIOS only disables the video edge, it also disables the audio system too.

So, after installing the video card and drivers, if your integrated sound card is missing, restart the PC, go into the BIOS, look for the audio setting on Board (it cannot exist without first adding the video card, so there may be no use in looking for it now).  You can watch now of course, but do not be alarmed if it does not exist.

Audio setting will be set to auto or off.

Change the active setting. Save the setting here where you made the change, and again when you exit the BIOS.

After reboot and return to Windows, integrated audio system needs to be restored and the HDMI audio works if HDMI cable connection is detected.

Another reminder... before install you your new video card, make sure that you uninstall the current drivers.

To do this, go to Device Manager, click to expand the category of device display cards, do a right-click on the map of chart amd radeon HD 2400 that there are listed, select uninstall, select uninstall driver.

Do not restart the PC you are prompted.

Go to the menu programs in the Control Panel, then uninstall all current AMD Catalyst software.

Once this is done, stop, disconnect the PC and remove and replace the video card in your PC.

  • Satellite A300-1OM - no sound on TV with HDMI

I have a Toshiba Satellite A300 1OM and also a HD in Toshiba TV with HDMI input ports.

I recently bought a HDMI cable to HDMI and attached the laptop to the tv and turned the TV to HDMI channel, and the cell phone confirmed making the sound "new device attached".

However, when I try to use the Fn + F5 and output to the tv, nothing happens. When I choose to use the TV as an external monitor to the tv shows the external display, but only covers the center of the TV, just a little larger than my screen laptop, instead of the full screen, as I had hoped. The sound also remained on the laptop instead of my tv speakers.

Then I tried the "HDMI output" software that came with the laptop computer, and only got the message "it is only effective when the PC is connected to a TV set that supports HDMI control via the HDMI cable.

Finally, I tried the graphics options to click with the right button on the desktop and choosing to watch out, and then using the graphic properties that I managed to increase the resolution on TV, until he was almost the entire screen, but not entirely and again the sound only came out of the laptop.

I'm hoping to be able to watch video files from my laptop HD, but it seems that the video output on my TV is always one notebook quality rather than the HD as I had hoped... I tried to watch "Lost.S05E11.720p.HDTV.x 264 - CTU.mkv" once I have wouldn't finally gone out my laptop to HD TV to a nearly full screen size, but does not recognize the difference between the video on TV and laptop.

Can anyone help? I have read several other similar posts, I checked the BIOS and is enabled in the HDMI display section, but still could not resolve my problem.

    Thank you!

    Hello

    > I hope to be able to watch my laptop HD video files, but it seems that the video output on my TV is always only quality rather than HD specification
    > does not recognize the difference between the video on TV and laptop.

Do you know what that means HD quality?
HD TV supports a maximum resolution of 1280 × 720 px and full HD means that the TV would be able to show HD movies using the resolution of 1920 × 1080.
    A simple old TV supports a resolution of 768 x 576.

Each screen of the laptop is able to show HD videos in HD quality because the screen supports the same or greater resolution!
So you will not notice any difference on laptop or HD TV HD quality video game!

In addition the sound does not come through the speakers of the TV because you didn t, choose the HDMI port as the default audio output (device).

Check this step by step instruction:
    Click Start
    Parameters
    Control Panel
    Material and audio
    Audio/digital output device (HDMI)
    Click the set as default

  • HELP: Laptop computer plug on TV with HDMI

    Hello

I'm trying to connect my laptop to my TV with HDMI.  Audio plays in my TV speakers very well.  However, my laptop screen is not mirrored back to me on my TV screen.  How can I solve this problem?  My wallpaper appears on my TV but the icons are missing.  When I drag my mouse to the top corner of the screen of my laptop, it will subsequently appear on my TV screen.

I watched before videos on my TV while my laptop is connected and everything was fine.  For some reason when I plugged on TV today, a default window popped up and he adjusted the settings (I hit very well without thinking about it, and now I can't fix it).  SOS!

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

In the display settings (Control Panel, personalization), click on your secondary monitor (TV), and then click to uncheck the box next to "extend the desktop to this monitor". Buttons-click apply then OK to exit.

Or you can just move windows to the second monitor:

  • HP Pavilion a6442p. Update the graphics card with HDMI?

My second computer is a HP Pavilion a6442p.  I would like to upgrade the graphics card with HDMI because I want to connect it to my TV to use the TV as a monitor.  I realize that the power supply is only 250.  I tried AMD Radeon 4350, but the computer would not set the card to display correctly.  Are there other maps any with HDMI that might work?  I thank in advance, Debbie

    Hi Deb5212,

Food that I suggested above will replace the existing power supply. It has enough power to handle the NVIDIA 550TI if you wish to get a more powerful video card (but more expensive).

In general, I recommend the Corsair CX500 because she has enough power to handle most video cards except the very high-end. However, it is more expensive.

  • laptop connected to an external monitor with vga cable issues?

    1The votefavorite

I use a Sony Vaio e series laptop running windows 7 Home premium 64-bit, which I always connect to an external monitor with a VGA cable.

I put graphics options to display only on the external monitor and I would like to close the lid of the laptop. In the power settings I put it do nothing when the lid closes.

When it is connected to the external screen I am able to look at the screen very well if the lid of the laptop is open. But whenever I close the lid, the display on the external monitor is turned off.

I have tried everything I can think of as the use of a keyboard to toggle the display, change the plan to plug the monitor off before and after and even more, to much to list etc.

I actually did it on my HD TV using a Hdmi cable that allows me to close the lid. But I want to use it only on my monitor that is sadly only VGA.

I know I'm not alone here, I found many forums on the same issue, but nobody seems to have an answer. It is always with the help of a VGA cable when I find others with the same problem.

Does anyone know where a response?

It seems either VGA may be quite old now since the introduction of HDMI, that Microsoft has not bothered to look on this or get out an update to resolve this issue. Sorry it's just very frustrating because cannot find an answer, and I don't like the laptop overheating or wasting money on energy.

    (1) right click on your power Option icon on the taskbar

    (2) will take you to Options below

    Control Panel:

Choose what closing the lid"this choice is the 3rd in your list of choices

The next screen will allow you to configure your choice:

    When I close the lid:

    On battery: do nothing and

    Plugged in: Do nothing

This will prevent your system/video to go to sleep or stopping

    Hope this helps

    Thank you! nyteshade!

    Hi Chris,

I'm glad you guys are here. I had the same problem, or you can a little more weird and resolved after seeing the solution in this thread.

I have 2 Dell ST2320L numbers, purchased in Dec 2010 and the other in March 2013. I liked the first one so much I couldn't even thought to update when I had to buy another :)

The problem appeared with the first when then we came. Actually the first was attached to my PC all the time with DVI and I had no problem. Then I thought set up a small TV in my room and got the DTH HD connected to ST2320L so that audio connected directly from monitor with less clutter, so you do not get a TV of this resolution at this price (prove me wrong), and I was still using only the HDMI speakers and external, so that's all I needed.

It's so fascinating that I removed the motherboard audio and used from PC monitor as well (less), of course, I had to connect to HDMI instead of DVI that I used. And, from there, I got the big don't flutter problem "NO cable HDMI atatched" whenever my screen was supposed to go off (I have it also down 2 minutes, I work from home and let the PC all the time, so this would save energy). HDMI was provided by Dell only with an Inspiron notebook. Then I saw this thread and tried the one provided by the DTH provider and it worked like charm.

So here's the 2 cables one who worked and which did not.

Did NOT work (Supplied with the laptop Dell Inspiron)
    Byte E119932-T * BHC78PE of 2 METRES of CABLE AWM STYLE 20276 80oC 30V VW-1 HDMI1.3

Worked (Supplied with the box of DTH)
    High speed HDMITM cable AVLV2 AWM STYLE 20276 80oC 30V VW-1 ProgTech

Note that, by "worked", I hear only the day before. The two cables carried the video and Audio without any problem, the difference was that the sleep mode is detected incorrectly as the cable is disconnected. Who noted quite rightly by Chris.

I hope this helps for other readers. Your monitor has no problem, it's just your cable. Try the one above the HDMI1.4 (High Speed HDMI) and not HDMI1.3. I guess this has nothing to do with the quality provided by my DTH provider is pretty cheap looking and thin while one that came with Dell Inspiron is award-winning very looking, thick, soft, long, and with connectors Golden which melt in 2 or 3 years.

    Thank you!
