Connect portable HDTV using VGA cable

I wanted to connect my laptop to HDTV via a vga cable. I clicked on the external monitor to the graphics option section. then suddenly the screen turns off and now it is completely empty. I don't see anything while VGA connects. I have to disconnect the VGA to my screen on. Please solve it. I can't find the same rotation section intel GMA drivers mobile too...

Hello

Set the best display on your monitor and check the difference.

It's normal. You will see a blank screen or an empty window on the computer screen. To view information about the computer's monitor, you must temporarily disconnect the HDTV.

Note:
To get the most benefit out of connecting your computer to a TV, you use Media Center, found in Windows Vista Ultimate and Windows Vista Home Premium.

I hope this helps.

Kind regards
Syed

    PROBLEM-

My TV displays a picture of sorts however we jumpy/fragile & show three (vertical) versions of the same image on my TV.  Black & white, its sometimes a offline.

I have the wires on connected TV where I got my Wired Xbox, the option on my TV to input is the component, when I turn on my laptop & the entry has the value component that I see the image on the screen & clearer, however, after logging in screen disappears & said that there is no signal.  The only way I can see anything either again is by ctrl, alt & del.

If I switch to AV2 on the choice of appetizer menu on my TV, it shows the description of the jumpy/fragile image, ctrl alt del - although the picture improves slightly & is not fragile, its still very black & white & duplicated in three patrs.

    Any help would be appreciated?

    Thanks in advance

  • Whenever I connect to my HDTV using vga, I get a BSOD, even tried with different pc tv/cable

    Hello

Thank you for taking the time to read this! Yesterday that I tried to connect to an HDTV using VGA instead of someone else, worked well. Buy a vga cable today and connected to my 1080 p full hd Phillips and got a BSOD almost instantly. I tried some things and managed to do the work! Played skyrim for a little and left the laptop in sleep mode. Came, open upward and the screen stayed black, nothing I could do to get a Visual.
Now, whenever I connect the cable I get a BSOD, it works with any other laptop, excludes the cable and television.
I have updated all drivers in the list, checked my drive for errors using the good chkdsk, smart status on the disk is good, all withdrew. I know for a fact that my laptop works fine with extra monitors, we use all the time on my internship and as stated, it worked yesterday on another TV.
    Features of the laptop:

    ASUS n73jn

    processor Intel i5 460 m
    NVIDIA geforce 335 m
    Windows 7 64 bit
    4 GB ddr3 RAM
the HDMI port is dysfunctional, just a few flickering screens filled with black lines, that's why I try vga. My guess is the hdmi port is DOA, but did not have a hd tv up to 2 years after purchase.

    Greetings,

Sorry, I was a little confused with the HDMI and VGA - continues to be the same advice.

Looks like you have isolated to a hardware problem.  With the Intel graphics card is not posted, I have to wonder if the hardware problem is with the graphics card Intel

FWIW - we have seen a number of overheating problems with the graphics from nVidia on your model.  Make sure the laptop is on a hard surface - and I would also use a filling of cooling (if possible) to ensure that the system is not overheating.

Install a new copy of Intel video drivers is probably the most important thing to do now - and ensure that this card appears in Device Manager (and check in the nVidia PhysX tab to see if it appears here - even though I'm not familiar with this program).

Try the video stress tests here: http://www.carrona.org/addldiag.html
They can show that there is a hardware problem - but a lot of this will involve what video card works at the time of the test (even once, I don't have a lot of experience to make systems to change video card).

    Good luck!

Where TV takes an audio signal in PC mode? (in this model of TV)

VGA cable only transmits the video signal.
So if you want to have the sound on the TV, you use an HDMI cable or you need to connect the laptop to the TV using an audio cable additional. For example, you can connect to the headphones port in the port of the TV

  • Portege Z10t connect to projector using VGA

    Hello.

I'm having a problem connecting the Portege Z10t to a projector via VGA.
The amount of the fine by HDMI.

Resolution changes to screen for something like a 4:3 ratio.
Then, he goes on the projector, rest for about 10 seconds then bombs.
I tried several resolutions but no joy. We are running windows 8.1

I tried a few different z10t and different projectors. Other laptops running windows 8.1 are very well, it seems that with the z10t.

    Any ideas? Thanks in advance

First of all, it would be interesting to know what resolution you ve chosen for internal and external display.
The Portege Z10T series was equipped with different views, but as far as I know the max resolution supported for all the screens should be: 1920 x 1080 px

If you use the extended desktop, two screens (internal + projector) could use different resolution, but if you use the clone poster option then the resolution must be the same on the Internet as well as on the external display (projector).

    Ideas:

    • You have problems with programs
    • Error messages
    • Recent changes to your computer
    • What you have already tried to solve the problem

It's good to hear - it means that the monitor is OK and that it is compatible with Vista.  It is still unclear on the video card or the motherboard on the computer (or any other problem this computer might have) = but one step at a time.  You have made great strides and ruled out several possible causes that we must now check or test.

What is the EXACT error message you are getting (Word for Word)?  Which is the key to product, the manufacturer, brand, model and serial number or your computer (I assume it's using the original video card)?  What i the manufacturer, brand and model of the new monitor?

Even if you could get the Microsoft drivers (which I don't think you can), you should take them to the device manufacturer or the manufacturer of the computer, if they moved on the computer.  They are likely to be more current and have fewer problems.  And you want drivers, firmware and software necessary or required by the device (they will be either the list which is available or you can ask for help and they should direct you to what you need).  Go to the Device Manager by going to start / find and type Device Manager and enter and then double-click on the program icon that appears.  Check each device to a red x, yellow! or white?  These identify devices with problems probably (drivers, but also of conflict or something else).  Click on each for more details and troubleshooting tips.  If you need to get drivers (and you shouldget to the monitor, the video card and the motherboard and all you have time to do - they can help way beyond simply solve this problem), let the computer dealer or the manufacturer of the device (NOT of Microsoft Updates).  In fact, you must disable automatic updates in Windows Update driver as follows:http://www.addictivetips.com/windows-tips/how-to-disable-automatic-driver-installation-in-windows-vista/. Follow these steps to get the drivers: http://pcsupport.about.com/od/driverssupport/ht/driverdlmfgr.htm.  Once you have the drivers, you can install them via the Manager device as follows:http://www.vistax64.com/tutorials/193584-device-manager-install-driver.html.

I hope that drivers will solve the problem.  If not, we have to try something else (not sure what yet, but we will come with an option).

    I hope this helps.

    Good luck!

  • No picture on Toshiba Regza TV connection via a desktop pc VGA cable

    Hello

I need help to connect my desktop PC Fujitsu Siemens for my Toshiba Regza 37 '' TV via a VGA cable.

I bought a VGA cable, assuming it would be plug-and-play work, far from it.
What happens is that when I connect to PC & TV VGA cable and select mode PC the screen just flickers / flashes a black screen.

I read a few articles that you have to press FN + F8 on laptop computers, but I don't have this option on my desktop pc.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance

    Cheerz

    Hello

FN + F8 enable and disable the WiFi network!
You must use the FN + F5 key combination to switch to the external monitor.

Please also check if the VGA channel is activated on your TV.
Then use the FN + F5 for the external video output switching

  • Can I connect a VGA cable simultaneously with a DVI cable to a monitor and use the source switch?

I found a similar, but not exact question and I was wondering if I could use the VGA cable AND cable DVI simultaneously on a HP 2159 m monitor and switch back and forth from analog and digital using the source switch on the screen? I noticed that some casual games such as found at BigFish and other gaming sites works best on VGA on DVI but I like to watch movies and other DVI instead of VGA?

I did two HP 2159 m monitor but it could in fact be wise space more convenient to just use the right now and switch from the analog to the digital format.

    Thanks for any response.

    Hello

You will need to edit the video in the monitor source selection when you want to switch.  Don't put it on AUTO.

For a test, connect two monitors and then configure your PC for two monitors. Then, remove the monitor as the secondary (VGA) and now connect the cable to the main monitor VGA port.  Now try the video source selection in the menu of the monitor.  I never tried it on my 2159 m but it can work.

Some monitors do not react to two active flows.

need help to connect the computer laptop dell mini inspiron to the TV using RGB vga cable

    Hello

Cables VGA, DVI and component video don't support audio signals. However, HDMI cables are supported, but not all, audio signals compatible HDMI video audio support cards. If your TV has an audio input, you might be able to connect an audio cable separate from their computer directly to the TV card. Otherwise, you need to connect the audio signal to a different device, such as external speakers or your stereo.

Try changing the VGA cables and check if it helps.

If the problem persists, then I suggest you to update the firmware.

Note: BIOS change / semiconductor (CMOS) to complementary metal oxide settings can cause serious problems that may prevent your computer from starting properly.
