Connect to Gmail in Safari

I have trouble connecting law google of my wife of my iMac (ElCapitan).  I can read Chrome, but Safari is my default browser.  In safari and I'm just using the site Web of Gmail, not Apple Mail or any other e-mail application, when I enter the correct password just login box flashes (like a fast refresh), but goes no further.  Nothing to say I'm in the wrong info, etc.  I'm stuck right there.

You can try Safari > Preferences > privacy > remove all data from the Web site.

If you do not want to lose everything you could try by clicking on the button below that by searching for and deleting anything that contains the word google.

What are your cookies settings? For example:

Conservation rules: use the custom settings for history

    {X} accept cookies from sites
    Accept third-party cookies: always
    Keep until: I close Firefox

Some sites may not work well if you have disabled the 'third party' cookies (I don't remember if Gmail is one of those).

Have you deleted all existing Google cookies? You can do it from any page search on google.com. Here's how:

While displaying a page on the site, try either:

    • Right click and select View Page Info > Security > "View Cookies".
    • (menu bar) Tools > Page Info > Security > 'view the Cookies '.
    • Click on the globe or padlock icon in the address bar > additional information > "View Cookies".

In the dialog box that opens, google.com should be filled up automatically and you can delete cookies from the site individually.

Then try logging into Gmail. Who help me?

I'm connecting... connecting... and nothing happens. I am able to open two sites in Chrome, but it is not my default browser is a truncated version of what I'm used to and I found the site web incompatibilities. • I get a "MALICIOUS URL BLOCKED" message when you connect to gmail or iGoogle home page, ONLY WITH FIREFOX (not with Internet Explorer). Help!

For the past two weeks, whenever I connect to gmail or iGoogle home page I get a message from avast! Antivirus (free version) saying that it has detected a malicious site. This only happens when using Firefox. No message is displayed if I connect using Internet Explorer 8. I use Windows XP Pro Service Pack 3, avast! Version 6.0.1367 (updated daily), Mozilla Firefox 10.0. I also use Malware Anti-Malware and SUPER Anti Spyware, bytes that are also updated regularly. The only recent downloads in my system were version 10.0 of Firefox and Microsoft Updates. I even tried to roll back to version 9, no change or improvement. This is the URL that is blocked, as shown in the pop-up message: OBJECT: http://74.50.117.107/js/je.php?u=739ec4a2-4903-4c0d-aee6-bdb3d2cdb87c & a = 200 & i = 111 & s = 0 INFECTION: PROCESS URL: MAL: C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\firefox.exe. Hello

I have problems connecting to gmail (unless in private mode?)

I had a similar problem with www.kvraudio.com and I removed the cookie manually.

I removed the cookie from gmail (I think), but it did not help. There are a few cookies from google, but I'm not messing things.

So far, I like firefox but I need to be able to "connect to sites" without their "brought back me to the login page" each time

    Can you help me?

If clearing cookies doesn't help, then it is possible that the cookies.sqlite file that stores the cookies is corrupted.

Rename (or delete) cookies.sqlite (cookies.sqlite.old) and delete cookies.sqlite - journal and cookies.txt, if they exist, in the profile folder in case the cookies.sqlite file has been corrupted.

  • I can not connect to gmail (I know my user name and password), the refreshing splash page, but I can connect to gmail using Internet Explorer

I can connect to gmail via Microsoft Internet Explore so I know my username and password work. I also added www.google.com to the list of the eligible web sites in Firefox. The google account was launched about two weeks ago and I have had no problems to connect until about 3 days ago. I went through all the stages of recovery offered by google. I suspect that there is something between Firefox and google that needs fixing, but I don't know what.

Try to clear the cache and delete cookies for gmail/google, this can sometimes help with access to a site that previously worked. For more information, see How to clear Firefox cache and delete cookies to remove the information from Web sites is stored on your computer.

  • ERR connection refused for Chrome, Safari, Firefox (most Web sites)

    Hi all

I am facing a serious problem of internet browser. Yesterday, I suddenly found a Web site connection problem with my MACBook Pro. Specifically, with all browsers such as Chrome, Safari and Firefox, I can't access most websites except Gmail, Youtube, Facebook, etc. All other sites gave an error "Err Connection refused". Surprisingly, I can connect to each Web site with other devices (Ipad, my phone) under this same wifi network... That my MAC did not work properly.

Then I saw that it had some malware called power helperbar appeared on my site Web whenever I try to re - open my browser. Then, I used all that are available online to get rid of it... Right now, it doesn't seem anymore, but I still can't access most Web sites...

I checked (I also changed to google DNS 8.8.8.8) DNS, IP, etc, and everything seems normal... At the end of the day, I reinstalled my Macbook system but the problem persists... I have really no more that I can do to fix personally.

I ask the help of the community?

    Thank you very much

    Best regards

You may have installed one or more variants of the malware "VSearch' ad-injection. Please back up all data, and then take the steps below to disable it.

Do not use any type of product, "anti-virus" or "anti-malware" on a Mac. It is never necessary for her, and relying on it for protection makes you more vulnerable to attacks, not less.

Malware is constantly evolving to work around defenses against it. This procedure works now, I know. It will not work in the future. Anyone finding this comment a couple of days or more after it was published should look for a more recent discussion, or start a new one.

VSearch malware tries to hide by varying names of the files it installs. To remove it, you must first identify the naming model.

1 triple - click on the line below on this page to select, then copy the text to the Clipboard by pressing Control-C key combination:

    /Library/LaunchDaemons

    In the Finder, select

Go ▹ go to the folder...

from the menu bar and paste it into the box that opens by pressing command + V. You won't see what you pasted a newline being included. Press return.

A folder named "LaunchDaemons" can open. If this is the case, press the combination of keys command-2 to select the display of the list, if it is not already selected.

There should be a column in the update Finder window. Click this title two times to sort the content by date with the most recent at the top. Please don't skip this step. The files that belong to an instance of VSearch will have the same date of change within about a minute, so they will be grouped together when you sort the folder this way, which makes them easy to identify.

Search in the folder with the name of all these forms:

    com.something.daemon.plist

    com.something.Helper.plist

    com.something .net - preferences.plist

Here, something is a string, which may be different in each instance of VSearch random meaningless. So far it has always been an alphanumeric string without punctuation signs, such as "disbalance" or "thunderbearer."

You may have more than one copy of the malware, with different values of something.

There may be one or more files with the name of this form:

    com.somethingelseUpd.plist

where George can be an empty string of sense that something different. Yet once, there may be more than one file of this type, with different values of Gisele.

Here is a typical example of an infection VSearch:

    com.disbalance .net - preferences.plist

    com.thunderbearerUpd.plist

You will have files with similar names, but probably not identical to these.

If you feel confident that you have identified the files above, drag only the files - nothing - to the trash. You may be prompted for administrator login password. Close the Finder window.

    2. open this folder as in step 1:

    /Library/LaunchAgents

Move to the trash all the files with the name of the form

    com.something.agent.plist

where something is one of the strings that you found in step 1. There may be not all of these files.

    3. If you have whatever it is moved to the trash in step 1 and step 2, restart the computer and empty the trash.

Do not remove the folder 'LaunchAgents' or "LaunchDaemons", or anything else inside of one or the other, unless you know you have another type of unwanted software and more VSearch. Records are a normal part of Mac OS X. The terms "agent" and "demon" is a reference to a program that starts automatically. This is not inherently bad, but the mechanism is sometimes exploited by hackers for malicious software.

4 reset the home page in each of your browsers, if it has been modified. In Safari, first load the desired home page, then select

    ▹ Safari preferences... ▹ General

    and click on

    Set on the current Page

The malware is now permanently inactivated, as long as you reinstall it never. A few small files will be left behind, but they have no effect, and trying to find all them is more trouble that it's worth.

    5. If you do not find the files or you are not sure about the identification, after what you have found.

If in doubt, or if you have no backups, change nothing at all.

    6. the penalty may have started when you have downloaded and run an application called 'MPlayerX' or "PDF Pronto." If there is an element with a name in the Applications folder, delete it.

This Trojan horse is often found on the illegal Web sites that traffic in content such as movies pirated. If you, or anyone else who uses the computer, visit these Web sites and follow the instructions to install the software, you can expect more of the same and worse, to follow. Never install software that you downloaded from a bittorrent, or which has been downloaded by someone else from an unknown source.

In the aspect of security & confidentiality of system preferences, select the general tab. The marked anywhere radio button should not be selected. If this is the case, click the lock icon to unlock the settings, and then select an other keys. After that, do not ignore a warning that you are about to run or install an application from an unknown Director.

Then, still in system preferences, open the pane of the App Store or software update and check the box marked

Install the system data files and security updates (OS X 10.10 or later version)

    or

Automatically download the updates (OS X 10.9 or earlier version)

If it is not already done.

I have already try to disconnected and connecte connected to my account gmail in Firefox, use the DisplayUnlockCaptcha and permit apps less secure access my mails. But none of this works.

In case the problem was thank Thunderbird too often connected, I also gave it a night and I tried again this morning, but no luck. I can access my email in the web and app Android gmail, but not Thunderbird.

Are there other solutions to this problem?

I finally found the solution after the addition of another account in Thunderbird with the same email.

My original account has been set to use the "Normal password" as authentication method, and it worked fine, until I changed the password.
But after adding the new account, I noticed gmail utilisΘ 'OAuth2.

Changing the "Normal Password" to 'OAuth2' in the server settings-> authentication method, fixed the problem.

Because Flash is the more commonly used plugin, could temporarily block you Flash on Google. Here's how I suggest you do:

On a search on google.compage, open the Panel of permissions of the Page Info dialog box using one of these:

    • Right-click the page and choose View Page Info > permissions
    • (menu bar) Menu Tools > Page Info > permissions
    • Click the icon of padlock or globe to the left of the address of the site > additional information > permissions

In the upper part, find Adobe Flash and change the parameter block. This should apply not only in research, but also to the login page and Gmail.

    Does make a difference?
