Connect to the TV with HDMI to HDMI connection

I'm trying to connect my HP Touchsmart 600 (oem Win 7) to my Samsung 850 HDTV using the HDMI connections. Both devices (PC & TV) do not even each other. Do not know how to proceed. Any thoughts there. I though it would be simple to s cable and go.

The port hdmi input graph based solely on a call back from HP support. It's disappointing because I had two HP tell me that it was an hdmi output.

  • Satellite A500 - 15 M: unable to connect to the TV with HDMI

    Hello

I have a Satellite A500 - 15M. I recently tried to connect to my TV so I could watch certain shows online on my Hannspree Xv HD ready TV.
The HDMI out does any record on the TV - the TV displays a message "not supported" and remains off (as if there is no signal) - display settings on the PC it does not recognize the TV... actually it [Intel Graphics and Media Control Panel] indicates that the TV/monitor settings are not supported.

But I can connect via the VGA output - although I have to delete the display settings to 1024 x 768 to show on TV. In addition the display on the TV then is mainly pink and red, even if my pc display peak is most often blue. -start of the Toshiba screen displays on the TV, without any problems and one or twice the login screen was displayed too much, but then sometimes it isn't...
I know that's not the VGA cable as I can connect to the TV with it on netbook advent my wife without any problem.
Are there drivers, I need to update / download? Or I need to change the settings?
How can I get my screen on my TV?

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

    Hello

First, you must connect the two machines (laptop and TV via HDMI) when the two devices are turned off. After turn on the TV and the laptop.

You must choose the HDMI on TV channel and should then use the FN + F5 key combination to switch the video output to the TV.

If this does not help, try updating the graphics card driver.
It seems that your laptop supports the Intel graphics chip. Therefore, you can see the Intel page for new drivers.

    Welcome them

I then plugged a laptop HP pavilion g series to the TV with the HDMI cable and using the same port HDMI on the TV and the computer screen is appeared on television right now.

    Can someone help me please?

    Hello

    Try this:
Both devices (TV and laptop) must be turned off but connected with a HDMI cable.
Then turn on the TV and the laptop.
After Windows has started, use the Fn + F5 secret key to switch the video output to TV.
    Is this possible?

By the way: have you chosen the right graphic resolution and supported?
Don't forget that you TV supports the resolution which has been chosen!

  • Sound does not work when it is connected to the TV with HDMI

I have a HP Pavilion Notebook PC, DV7 - 6813EV, running windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit SP1. My problem is that I have no sound when connected to my TV HDMI connection and press. Please could someone help me? Thanks in advance

    Hello gematz,

The sound does not work when it is connected to the TV via HDMI.

    Go to start.

    Type sound.

    Click sound

On the playback tab, click with the right button on the HDMI interface, and then select set as default device.

If you do not see the HDMI, right click and select devices see off, then set as default.

  • No sound from the tv with hdmi w3 connection

I have a standard micro HDMI to connect my w3 to tv.  When a movie plays on the w3, I can see the video on the Tablet and the tv, but only the Tablet has its.  Is this normal?   I checked that the tv properly with other hdmi sources works but have no way to test the brand new microphone cable or w3 drivers.

I was unable to locate a compatible driver on intel.com.

However, I tried the w3 with a different TV and everything worked as expected: even with only a 'driver' Intel ESS Audio Device (WDM) available.  Passage of the tablet on television was automatic.  I did plug in and turn on the tablet in front of the TV and everything worked.

I tried the same procedure with the original tv and the results were good video but no sound from the TV.  The sound remained with the tablet.

I hae 2 TVs and 2 blueray players.  I swapped every combination of TV and player and everything works well.  Since the Tablet works well with at least one TV, the hdmi cable is ok.  My conclusion is that the current configuration of the Tablet works with some TVs and others not, and until I can find a better driver I'll just have to live with it.  I wanted to be able to watch videos with the Tablet when I traveled and will just have to wait until I get whenever I go to see if it works.  Not very desirable but it's like that.

Thanks for your suggestions and help.

    Problem solved (sorta).

  • No sound from the laptop to the TV with HDMI connection

Reference Dell Laptop windows 7 connected to the Samsung 46 '' smart TV with an HDMI cable.  Video works great but no sound on TV.  Is there a setting somewhere that will cause the audio to work from the laptop to the TV via the HDMI cable?

Right click on the sound icon in the system tray, select playback devices and output of the default value.

You will need to install an audio HDMI driver for your graphics card if the HDMI output is not displayed...

  • Setting the resolution with HDMI

I'm trying to connect my laptop Sony Vaio (VPCEE2M1E with AMD/ATI Radeon) to my couple of years Toshiba TV.  The Toshiba is the brand "HD READY", but when I hook them together the default resolution is 720 not 1080.

I went to control PANEL / DISPLAY / SETTINGS HDMI to try to reset manually but 768 and 1080 selection buttons are both in gray.  Also, I can not select the 'Adjust Resolution (Disable)' tab to see what's there.

The HDMI cable is a cable of high quality IXOS, so that should not present any problems.

    Any thoughts?  Very much appreciated.

What is the model of your Toshiba TV? 720 p is one of the HD, just not one of the highest resolutions and lots of 720 p always sell TVs HD. Many of those who are capable of 1080i (interelaced) resolution, you must check the specifications of TV to find out. 1080i is not as high resolution 1080 p, but he could make videos to look a little better than 720 p.

The other consideration is that you may need to add the resolutions undetected in your resolution settings using Catalyst Control Center Radeon card. If you only use the video card drivers MS (ie. not provided on the video card driver disk or downloaded from ATI) then the additional resolution settings may not be available.

  • E535 on TV with HDMI connection

I must be missing something - I'm trying to connect my E535 HDMI output to the HDMI input on my LCD of Panasonic Viera TV.  I joined the two ends of the cable to the corresponding ports, and I get nothing.  I select HDMI 1 or 2 on the TV and still nothing.

I also tried to toggle the selection of the display F6 key, although I think it is active only when you are using the correct VGA port?

Lenovo manual is fairly brief on the issue of DVI, so someone can tell me what I need to do in Panel or elsewhere to get the display of the computer on the TV with HDMI?  Thanks in advance.

I don't want to remove the cable by attaching (preferably) using two different devices.  This is not the laptop or TV.

Second choice would be portable computer connecting to a different TV or connect a different device to your TV. Or if you can borrow another HDMI cable.

It is quite normal for the cable to be a little hard to connect.  She must be aligned both the up/down and left/right.

  • Second screen with HDMI audio source after connection or wake

It is a very minor issue, but one I still dealing with.

I have a BenQ RL2455M monitor connected to my MacBook Pro w / retina with HDMI. I plug headphones to listen to music and talk on Skype on the plug headphones of the MBP. It all works perfectly.

The question arises when first connecting my laptop to the monitor (plugged the HDMI cable) or when waking up the laptop from sleep. If my helmet was left plugged in the headphone during this process, so I have no sound. Sound is sent through the HDMI. I have to unplug and plug in the headset to steal her back.

Of course, El Capitan is the choice the newest device to use for output. It makes sense, when you first connect the HDMI, but less after sleep.

In addition, this occurs when only my screen is in sleep mode and not my "computer". I changed this setting to 3 hours, because I had some programs that are not keep the laptop awake.
