  Method 1: Run the network troubleshooter utility.

  I did in the past, and IIRC the trick was to add: «;» interface = wifi; deviceside = true"to your connection string. for example:

• I think that I broke the internet. Unable to connect via WiFi

  I don't know what happened, but for some reason, my laptop does not connect to my home network.  I tried to plug directly into the router with no luck.  I also tried to download the new drivers w / laptop from my friend to a USB key, but that was of no use.

  Just to let you know:

  It is an equipped 64 Vista DV4-1140go.

  I am able to connect to my network wirelessly with my BlackBerry and laptop my girlfriend via wifi.

  I am also able to connect to internet with Xbox plugged into the modem.

  Well, it turns out it was Norton all along. I thought that I had uninstalled completely until I came across this link Norton Removal Tool.

  I then decided to test McAfee because Comcast (isp) offered free of charge.  Well, today they no longer offer McAfee. Instead, there is a link that says "with McAfee? Time to upgrade to Norton free with Comcast"LoL FML

  Your code doesn't use WiFi.

  You must specify '; = wifi interface"as the suffix of the connection to use the WiFi.

  Are you sure that the laptop wireless switch is on?
  Look in the Device Manager. Maybe it's the wireless network card disabled. So activate it.

• OfficeJet 7410 does not connect via WiFi and will not scan

  I don't know if this post is in the right place, but here goes:

  I have a 7410 OfficeJet that was connected to my home network so that I could print/scanning wireless to it from any computer in the House.  It worked well for a while.  I am running Windows XP SP 3.

  We lost power for a few days during the hurricane (Fortunately it was our one central issue), and when the power was restored the 7410 wouldn't connect to the wireless network (we have FiOS).  I checked the unit identifies the correct system ID (and I entered the WEP key), but when I try to install from the desktop computer, it can not find the 7410 (laptop computer also was not able to find the 7410).  The only way I could get the desktop to detect the 7410 is to connect it to the router with an ethernet cable (it does not work with the laptop).  I also can't connect to the wireless printer if I put the IP address in my browser (I'm able to do when it's connected via ethernet).  Not sure if it is a firewall issue.

  When the 7410 is connected to the router with the ethernet cable, I could print to it without any problems.  However, I can't scan from it.  When I try to scan, I get the error message "when trying to scan, could not find the required user interface file (Please reinstall scanning software).  I uninstalled and reinstalled the HP software, but I still get this message.  I also followed the instructions here: http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c00516936 but that has not solved the problem.

  This morning, I uninstalled the printer with the hope that, put it back in place could solve the problem of scanning, but now the computer is not able to find the printer, even if it is connected by ethernet.

  I hope I gave enough information.  Ideas/comments/suggestions would be appreciated.

  I think I see what's happening. You just need to reestablish the connection to the printer wireless. The document below should help you with that. Once you have done so, the software shouldn't have a problem connecting to the wireless printer.

  I have problems connecting through two different airports. One is a time capsule on the latest version of the software package and another model and plu not updated. The connectivity problem is internet speeds and connection is not stable. It all devices: Macbook Pro and several ipads, 2 iPhones. INTELNET is via dsl, phone company checked things twice. The new modem installed and did other things. They fear that its on my end. I connected to their modem all possible ways; hard wired, their wireless, my Airport. No change. It began late May has gotten to the point now that the speed is barely there. Please any suggestions?

  Is the modem in bridge mode or router ADSL?

  Is what model exactly?

  If you need to use PPPOE over airport be warned that it may be unstable.

  I also installation of adsl and I can't use PPPOE on the airport... almost every other router works well, but for some reason the airport is not able to connect or maintain connection if it happens occasionally it.

  I simply replaced the airports with a different brand router and use the airport/s in bridge or in static IP mode.

  If your DSL modem is a router and do the complete job... so let me also recommend try static IP mode on deck... It is also much better in my experience.
