  It is a position of more suggestion rather than a discussion message. I'm not sure that having placed in the right area, so excuse me if I don't.

  1. I was very happy to work with liquid to display things when a user is logged on and stuff so that it was not. Until I realized that my site in full could not be editable through the ice, because I used all liquid through the site. Liquid is amazing, but it would be more surprising if it can work with ICE. Is this something BC have in mind for future versions?

  2. it would be so great that ICE would allow my clients to edit blog, products, applications, and data FAQ. I think you must have a glance, that Webflow people do with their CMS. Their CMS allows people to change static and dynamic content with an interface similar to ice BC plans to implement a similar feature in the future?

  While BC is working better and more recent versions of ice and I'm sure will better work with the new features of British Colombia as a liquid, due to the nature of the liquid and the coding side Server with conditional statements and complex solutions, you can create - with ice you can pretty well bet that he used to be able to support what your specifically ask in all cases. Keep this in mind.

• Universal time and dynamic data record

  Hey guys, fundamental question.

  I have a pressure transducer unique that I record the data of.  I want to have a single button that the user can press to start recording and have the same button to stop recording.  I suppse capture what is the user, I would like to see updates periodicals what sees the DAQ assistant.

  The problem I have is that the timestamp of the data file is repeated for each cycle of the DAQ assistant.  Which means, if I record two cycles to 5 Hz and 5 samples, my time is 0,.2,.4,.6,.8, 0,.2,.4,.6. 8 see it repeats.  Ideally I'd like it to go like this 0,.2,.4,.6,.8, 1, 1.2, 1.4, 1.6, 1.8. I am attached the VI and the sample output.  I appreciate any help you guys can provide.

  How do you use your VI?

  It runs only once stops.  It doesn't have a while loop for several iterations.

  Please don't tell me that you are using the run button continues and the button abandon.  They are only for debugging purposes.

  If you put some time a loop around your code and use a real stop on your front button, you will see that it works fine.  Continuous running is not identical to a while loop.  It is rather, run, run once again, run again, run again, always restart the VI until you hit the abort button, which is what is causing your time stamps to restart.

• How to send the SQL for SQL Server statement and return data without using database connectivity Kit?

  Hi, I tried to figure out how to extract data from my SQL Server databases and reading messages and to do some tests with examples, I can get data connection type in my SQL server, but so far nothing helps.  Is it possible to get data from a SQL Server database without using the database connectivity Toolkit?  and if so, how?  are there whitepapers and/or examples of this?  So far, I can't find something that works.  Thank you.

  Jesse - what is your reason for not using the database connectivity Toolkit? It is by far the best way to recover the data.

• dynamic data in the formula is originally running slow and weird results

  I am collecting 11 channels of analog input voltage, then perform a series of calculations (different, editable) on each channel of the voltage to convert each temperature sensor.

  My first step in calculations (with the help of multiply, subtract and divide blocks) works very well.

  My second step of calculations (which includes a natural logarithm "ln") is performed with the formula block. However, the formula block has three red arrows where are the constants of entry, and the results of the formula block are intermittent and incorrect (if drawn, drop the lightning just drawn what looks like a value of 1 intermittently... If saved to a csv file, the results show a bunch of zeros and then a row of values, then more zeros).

  I don't know if I need to convert my dynamic data in a table before feeding in the formula, or if there is another way by applying a complex formula of dynamic data, or...? I would stick with dynamic data because it makes tracing easier, but I'm open to other suggestions.

  

  

  The answer is very simple- do not use Dynamic Data.  I have never understood why NEITHER created this (other than to show "how easy it is to collect the DAQ and screw Express Wizard" (and not to mention that you lose a lot of control over what you do).)  There have been many questions here in the Forums and a number of players with a lot more experience I have also made the same recommendation.

  I don't know where the dynamic data in your case.  If it came from the DAQ Assistant, by all means read this and get rid of this wizard!

  Hi, we just got router ISR4331. We will use this router to our datacenter as pummel hub. Not to mention that it will be the static IP address. Our goal is to connect 30 small offices to the Datacenter by VPN site-to-site. All of our offices a RV042 router and DSL connection, so dynamic public IP. How to accomplish this task. Before the VPN connection is stable and the need not to configure tunnels frequently.

  I have a simple table of questions and actions.

  users change/update records using the form on a table with the report.

  There is a comments column to record the latest updates; users must add their name and the date at the top.

  I am currently using a button that calls a dynamic action to execute javascript to insert the date and the user at the top of the text in the field comments (UPDATES_NEW_ON_TOP)

  I have configured the connectivity between Oracle and DB2 LUW, using DG40DBC but my requirement is to see the characters Asian (Chinese, Japanese, etc). Then, when I select the data through DB DB2 link I get of the question marks (?). We need to change the settings in the configuration files to support this language?

  Isql instruction is not able to display characters unicode is partly justified. In my (Linux with LANG value UTF8) env it displays Chinese and Japanese characters.

  You can also try to use the unicode equivalent to "isql" called "iusql. In addition, please provide the character set of your DB2 database.

• Set up connection VI start and stop without losing or deleting data

  I currently use a PCI-6280 M-series and a card PCI-6601 of counter measurements on Labview 2010.

  I have 3 tasks implemented, 2 tasks of linear encoder on the 6601 counter and 1 analog input task with 4 inputs x on my 6280.  All of these are timed with a counter on the 6601 through a RTSI line.

  All of these tasks, I have a similar setup as the picture in http://zone.ni.com/devzone/cda/tut/p/id/9574 except that they are all set up as only "Log" and "create/replace" for the logging.vi configuration file.

  Because I want to have the encoders permanently locate my position, I never "stop" the tasks of meter.  However, I need to use the data acquired after each trip along the way to get and process location and subsequent analogue input data points I have.  What I did, I would be 'stop.vi' my clock on the counter sample, and then open the PDM file, read the file PDM, get the table from there, close the PDM file, then "run.vi" the clock on the counter sample.  However, I found when I stop the sample clock, not ALL data points have been listened to in the file.

  For example, say I move my cart to 100mm to the right during recording, then stop the sample clock, get the PDM file table, find the size of this table called 'X' for future use.  Then I get the ramasseherbe on the origin WITHOUT restarting the clock.  THEN I start the sample clock and move from 100mm to the left.  After that, I once again, stop the sample clock and get data from my file tdms starting at the offset of reading on "X + 1".  I EXPECT that this table SHOULD start at 0 then go to the 100 mm to the left.  However, what it does, is that I see the data begin at 100mm from the right for a few data points, then GOES to 0, then moves to the left as planned.

  I propose this means that when I stop the sample clock, data from meters (stamp?) not all were listened to the tdms file yet, and when I start the clock, the rest becomes she dumped.  Here, I'm confused because I thought that 'configure logging.vi' stream directly in the file without a buffer.

  I was wondering if I'm doing something wrong, wait bad things, and if there is a way to apply what I want.  As in, is there a way to dump data remaning in the "buffer" (I tried the tdms vi flower, but that didn't work and I didn't think it was relevant) after I stop the clock or something like that, or is my implementation to offshore competely.

  PS. have a way to read the most recent point counters would be great also.  However, whenever I put the offset or relative to the most recent, it is said that I can't do during indexing, even if I saw a community post saying that it works with analog inputs.  This is perhaps off topic, but yes, now I'm just trying to get the tables of PDM works, thank YOU!

• Dynamic data of several channels in table, then save in Excel

  I am acquiring data from several channels (4-5) and I'd like to collect samples at low rates (10 Hz for 3 minutes max). For various reasons I use Dynamic Data type, although I know that it is not the best way (some say it is a wrong data type ). I also want to save data to a file (the best option would be data excel file).

  If I acquire data 10 times per second, it is quite slow to save in excel (this is the slowest option of all types of data). So I would like to fill a table or matrix of acquired data and then write Excel file (I use scripture to measure file). But I don't know how to do - if I convert DDT in DBL, build an array and connect it to change registry, it works but I lose the information in column names and I'm wasting time. If I connect to build the table a DDT and then shift record another, it returns the table 1 d of DDT. I would like to have 2D DDT, which collects all the information loop.  Is there a suggestion how to solve?

  I'm sure it would be easier solved my problem with the double data type but I also use select signals VI which is the VI I am not able to replace at this time.

  I don't know if there is a question here, or what.  Doing what you say you want to make, acquire the data of 4-5 channels at low rates (10 Hz for 3 minutes) and save the data in an Excel file (I assume you mean really Excel, i.e. a file with the extension .xls or .xlsx) is really a very easy thing to do in LabVIEW, especially if you are not using :

  • DAQ Assistant
  • Dynamic Data
  • Write to the action file.

  Indeed, you seem to realize this, but I guess you want to 'do the hard', in any case.

  I looked and looked, but couldn't find a solution for this.

  I currently have 15 points of different data that I try to write in an Excel file.  I have all combined in a table and lie with the function "write into a file position.  However, the column names are always "Untitled", "Untitled 1" etc.  I then used the function 'Set the Dynamic Data attributes'; but for this I have to do 15 different functions "set data dynamic attributes.  It was suggested to use a loop with the function 'Set the Dynamic Data attributes' inside of her, but I can't find how do.

  I have several arrays consisting of 15 different values for 'Signal Index' 'Name of Signal' and 'Unit', but also a unique 'get Date/Time In Seconds' related to 'Timestamp '.  The problem is that the error I get when I try to connect the output with Scripture at the entrance to measure file:

  The source type is dynamic data table 1 d.  The type of sink is Dynamic Data.

  How can I fix it?  I have attached a picture of my installation; Sorry if this is gross (I'm new on this!).  Thank you!

  It will get rid of the error, but it is not quite correct. What you need to do after that is to click on the output or the tunnel entry and select 'replace with the shift register. In addition, the array of values that you have wired to the Signal Index is wrong. Arrays are 0 based. Just wire the iteration Terminal here. And, finally, take the size of the table and this connection to the N terminal are stupid. Don't wire nothing to this.

  We try to have one OBI/EE configuration serve several application pre-production environments with mostly identical database schemas.
  
  There is a pool of dynamic connections in BI Server, its data source, the value of a session variable ([see here | http://hekatonkheires.blogspot.com/2009/10/obiee-101341-dynamic-data-source.html]). It works very well.
  
  Now a BI dashboard has a BI Publisher report on it against this dynamic data source. This is equivalent to shouting to the editor and Publisher to recall of presentation services. The session data source variable is lost in the process.
  
  Is there a way of sessions between services of presentation and publication of sharing or otherwise passing session here and there, variables such as URL parameters?

  The integration settings between BEEP and OBIEE is made via the guest of dashboard.

  If you use a response as a data source in the TWEET, you normally have no problem.

  If you use a SQL query as a data source, you must:
  * Add a command prompt with a default of your session (for the dynamic connection) variable
  * use it in your sql as a bind variable for a schema or a database link.

  I have a question about the connection between Matlab and FCR UDP. My idea is to Exchange data between Matlab and Labview on the same computer.

  So I found the 'UDP Simple' of the FCR 2.0 sample project where periodically a datasample is generated randomly and sent to the remoteport 61557 local host. In the project a 'fractional number of string for transmission' is used for the transmission of data. The receiver of the sample project reads from the same port to receive the datasample.

  Now, I'm interested to read this simple stream from Matlab (just at first), however, it does not work and I'm not sure why. What I do in Matlab is the following (code Matlab)

  So, regarding the problem actually, I found the solution today. It was not the firewall, but a simple configuration in Matlab seting the UDP port. So the side of Matlab, to change the definition of udp object according to

  u = udp ('127.0.0.1', 'Thelocalport', 61557);

  If you have

  u = udp ('127.0.0.1', 'Thelocalport', 61557);
  fopen (u);

  A = fread (u)

  fclose (u);
  Delete (u);

  Who does the trick and you can read from the port. Then of course you say Matlab that you read from the "LocalPort" x, which I wasn't aware of.

  On the transmitter side, you simply:

  u = udp ('127.0.0.1', 61557);

  fopen (u);

  fwrite (u, '1');

  fclose (u);
  Delete (u);

  Here, you set just the port of transmiting.

  About the format of the data: I used the simple UDP protocol streaming Comms project where a random number is generated as a double, transformed into a string (ASCII values) and transmitted. At the level of the receiver, you get as much the UDP packet with the ASCII values that you must turn if you want to find the number.

  I hope this helps anyone having the same problem.
