Connection of the unit to record a call

Looking for guidance on the installation and/or use of the unit CNX to allow subscribers to record a phone call.

Thank you

Connection supports the same type of record features direct, the unit done - there is an article 'start live recording' in routing rules that you can configure and call to register a call for the user box Conference in unity and use the record conversation direct who silently records the Conference and then leaves the record resulting as a message to the Subscriber that initiated the call.

You can get more details on the live page account of the note here:

  • Connection of the unit - transfer to AA

I have a need to transfer busy / Annick callers to an extension to an auto attendant of the connection of the unit. Currently, the CCM has the value of the extension to transmit an AA extension on the server of connection of the unit, but when the call is forwarded, the standard greeting voicemail plays. If I answer the call and manually transfer the appellant in the Guide, everything works well.

I tried setting upwards to pass rules routing, but without success. I confirmed that Call Manager is configured to send the number of "Redirect" as well as the call to the connection of the unit.

Anyone has an idea on how to achieve this?

    Software:

    CallManager 4.1 (3)

    Unity connection 1.0000 SR1

I'm a little confused... If you have a Subscriber with extension 1234 and 1234 is transferring a call you don't want the call to go to the wishes of the customer and to leave a message? Really?

If you do not want that to happen so you can introduce that a routing call in transmission rule rule called upstairs who said if the call would transfer of 1234 and then forced to go to a call handler - this means that the Subscriber to post 1234 will never get people forwarding messages from his phone...

  • 10.5 (1) CUCM and connection of the Unit 9.1 compatibility 2

I intend to use the PCD to migrate my MC Call Manager 8.0 (3) cluster to 10.5 (1) early next week. I have a connection of the self-government unit 9.1 Server 2 and I read conflicting information on Cisco's Web site on their compatibility. A page says they are compatible (http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/voice_ip_comm/connection/compatibil...) and another page says that I should update the unit connection at least 10.0 (http://tools.cisco.com/ITDIT/vtgsca/VTGServlet). Can someone clarify this for me please?

If the connection of the Unit 9.1 2 is incompatible with CUCM 10.5 (1) and I need to upgrade, how do I do first - or if they can be done safely at the same time. If I first Call Manager, unity connection will be 'dead in the water' until I updated?

    Thanks in advance!

They are compatible, CUC is always a wildcard, because it will work with virtually any CUCM on device

  • Rehost licenses of ELM of connection of the unit to the server CUCM PLM

    Hi all

I just finished a CUCM migration / MCS 8.0.3 upgrade to UCS 10.5.1 using PCD. I will now upgrade my 9.1.2 Server stand-alone connection of the unit to the 10.5.1 version tomorrow night. My question is about licensing. When I upgraded version 9.1.2 connection unit I decided to re co ELM since my CUCM cluster was still on version 8.0. Now that I have improved my CUCM cluster, I have two license servers - PLM for Call Manager and ELM for the connection of the unit. I was advised to move the licenses of connection of the unit to PLM, but I don't know how to do it. I have already contacted Cisco licenses and they tell me that everything is ready to go, but they have not told me HOW to do it (I know they are probably deluged with requests).

Can someone point me to a link or describe briefly the process please?

    Thanks in advance!

    Lisa

You probably didn't clearly explain what you wanted to do, he will be re - host licenses of a PLM to one another as before PLM with the MAC addresses of license.

  • Connection of the unit drops

    Hello

I expected to have some ideas on how to solve it.

We have just completed a migration and "go-live" of unity 7.0 (2) to 8.5 connection of the unit. Our existing CUCM is 7.1.5 (this has not changed with the migration of the unit). Apparently randomly audio will drop with functions related to the connection of the unit. This includes trying to leave a message, listenting to a message, or a voice menu. This happens to be an in-house (CUCM) or external (PSTN) call. However, when he arrives on our 7940 phones internally, there is a 'Failure of Temp' message appears.

Connection of the unit is running on VMware ESXi 4.1, on an HP BL460c Server supported. The EGGS installed without problem and the connection of the unit installed in passing its routine audit material. Connection of the unit is the ONLY virtual machine running on this material, and we plan to continue this way. This is the first time we have virtualized a Cisco on VMware product, however, we have hundreds of other servers already on VMware, VMware itself is not new for us. Our system of 7.0 (2) unit ran on one of the platforms HP PSC of Cisco and was not virtualized. Connection of the unit is also currently a stand alone; It is not installed in a cluster.

It is true that I am very new "connection of the unit", however, several years of 'Unity' and CUCM under my belt. Can someone provide with some ideas on where to begin the search for this problem?

    Thank you

    -Mike

    Mike,

How do the HP BL460c connected to your network? Are you using the grouping of NETWORK cards / single NIC / EtherChannel?

Since you get a "temp fail" message on the phone and probably a reason in your CDRs 41 code, I think that there is a problem with the network with your CUC/ESXi server. You can watch the network configuration in vSphere and on your switch.

I recently turned a server UCS where we tried the establishment and EtherChannel. We had a result very mixed with network connectivity and eventually had to do instead of grouping of NIC.

  • Grouping & connection of the unit

I have a senario with grouping and connection of the unit. I use the connection of the Unit 8.0 and 8.5 of UCS. The senario is like that in the hours that I want to call to call the Manager after 5 rings or when the group is busy which is working well. But I want after that call for office hours should go directly to call the Manager without ringing on the hunt.

    1. Build the new time period that defines your time opening hours
    2. Build the new calendar using this period
    3. Build the new partition that is him and AfterHours-PT apply this calendar
    4. Construction new CTI Route Point where the DN is the same as the driver of hunting but it is in this new Partition, set appeal above all to go to VM checkbox
    5. Set this partition all CSSes who would need to reach this destination, i.e. GW CSS, CSS to phone, etc. Verify that this PT appears before the regular partition associated with the fighter pilot

That's all. So when the call arrives at the course after the hours set in the time it will match this partition and route the call via this CTI RP that is configured to go to VM and where the call handler extension is the same as this RP CTI. When the call comes in during opening hours, it just uses the 'default' path which is the fighter pilot.

  • Jabber for Windows 11.5 and connection of the unit - German special characters in password

We Jabber for Windows 11.5.2 running and using the connection of the Unit 10.5.2. Whenever a user uses a password with the German special characters (a, o, u), Jabber is not able to connect to the connection of the unit. Everything else works fine. We also have this problem in 10.6 versions. In the voicemail tab it is said that the name of user or password is wrong. We can reproduce the problem...

BTW. also it does not work in the current jabber for iOS version!

Anyone know if it's a bug or experiencingthe same problem?

I simply make the point that use German special characters causes a lot of problems, in many places, whole CUCM and IM & P and you avoid them.

  • CUCMBE 6000 connection install the unit on the stand-alone server

I have a new C200 M2. My question is, can I I separated the connection of the unit installed on a separate server, rather than having CUCMBE\Unity connection on 1? The C200 running vmware 4.1

    Thanks in advance

A deployment to a deployment of 6K to

    (A) to run on the C series

    (B) choose maximum 4 apps in the link

    (C) use the EGGS for 6 K deployments that are smaller that installs stand-alone.

If you want redundancy, you can have another running the OVAs 6 K of C series (if the product supports clustering)

What I don't understand is what you said:

    CUCMBE\Unity connection on 1.

On a 6K installation you select 4 products, in this case, you create a virtual machine for CUCM, one for CUC and one for CUPS. Separate virtual machines, separate installs and integrations.

There is no CUCMBE on 6K like the one on 8.X where a single installation had CUCM and CUC, it's CUCMBE 5 K and it is a completely different matter.

  • Time and calendar on the connection of the unit on CUCM

    Hello

Today, it's Christmas and Friday, I configured delay on CUCM of identity week and holidays. However, today is Friday and holidays as well. Is there anyone who knows how to give a higher priority to route the call to CUC on CUCM vacation? When the call is transferred to the unit connection, I was faced with the same problem.  How to give a higher priority to route the call to wish holiday? In other words, when the day is the day of the week and holidays. Holiday will all first check that the days of the week on CUCM and CUCM.

    Thank you

    Eric

don't think that there is adjustment to set the priority on the calendar, but if one defines a period of time with a date points, to this date, this period overrides other periods that are set on a weekly basis.

consult the SRND for clarity on the behavior at the time of the period

    Behavior of time period

If you set a period of time with a specific date, at that date, this period overrides other periods that are set on a weekly basis.

    Example of

    Consider the following example:

    • There is a time afterofficehours, which is defined as 00:00 and 08:00 Monday to Friday.
    • There is a time, newyearseve, which corresponds to 14:00 and 17:00 on 31 December.

In this case, on 31 December, the period of afterofficehours will not because it is overridden by more specific newyearseve period.

    Timetables

A calendar includes a group of defined periods that associates the administrator. Once the administrator has configured a period of time, the time period appears in Configuration window when the calendar in the list of available time periods. The administrator may choose a period of time and add it to the selected list of time periods.

    Note

After the administrator selects a time for connection with a calendar, the deadline is available for binding with other calendars.

Once the administrator has configured a calendar, the administrator can use the window of the Configuration Partition to select the time zone of the original unit or any specific time zone to a defined schedule. The time zone selected gets checked against the calendar when the user places the call.

The Time-of-Day function filter the CallingSearchSpace string in time settings defined for each partition in the CallingSearchSpace.

After the time of routing is configured, if the time of an incoming call is within one of the time periods in the calendar, the partition is included in the list of partition filtered for the call.

    Examples

You can set the USAholidays calendar as the Group of the following time periods: newyearsday, presidentsday, memorialday, independenceday, laborday, thanksgivingday, christmasday. The administrator must first configure the applicable time limits.

You can set the time schedule library_open_hours as the Group of the following time periods: Mon_to_Fri_hours, Sat_hours, Sun_hours. The administrator must first configure the applicable time limits.

  • Voicemail configuration base with CUCM and connections of the unit

    Hello again,

I'm still very new to CUCM.  I am configuring a CUCMB 6.01 test deployment.  He has connections in the integrated unit.  I have 2 DNs assigned to users and Cisco IP phones.  I use MGCP (Cisco 3745 with 2FXO as gateway).  Now, I'm trying to extensions of voicemail installation for the users.  I read a lot of documentation on CUCM and unity, but I know that Unity Express is not what I need, and that you have not found information on the basics of implementing voicemail for users of CUCM.

Users are DN 1001 and 1002 respectively.  They are part of a list of hunting (broadcast) so that the arrival of incoming calls, both phones will ring simultaneously.  Not sure if this has any bearing or not.  I would like to be able to put in place so that each DN rings on the IP phone say 6 times, then go to a Unity voicemail box configuration for that user.  I have already imported users 2 in the unit.  I ran the voice messaging port configuration wizard.  Everything looks as if it runs correctly, but I'm stuck really share say CUCM to route the call to the mailbox of the unit.  Probably the simplest part.  Ideas or help on this would be much appreciated.  Thank you in advance.

    Impetuous salvation,

    CUCM works this way

So the fact that 1001 and 1002 receive calls via a group has a significant impact on this config.

You must keep in mind that a call that is routed through the fighter pilot will always ignore the CFWD settings on phones of hunting member of the group. The normal way to control it then is through disconnection of the Group Hunt members phones combined with the front fighter pilot level settings.

    The following section describes how the parameters to call it forward on the phones of individual members Hunt are ignored when presented a call via the hunting feature. Here's a clip;

    Hunting and call forwarding

The concept of hunting differs from call forwarding. Hunting allows Cisco Unified Communications Manager to extend a call to one or more lists of numbers, where each such list can specify an order of hunting which is selected from a fixed set of algorithms. When a call extends over a part of hunting of these lists and the party does not answer or is busy, hunting resumes from the next part of hunting. (The next party of hunting varies according to the current hunting algorithm). Hunting has so ignore settings call forward No Answer (CFNA), call forward busy (CFB) or call before all (CFA) for the party to attempt (group member line phones).

Cisco Unified Communications Manager offers the possibility to redirect a call when hunting fails (that is, when the hunt ends without a part of hunting to the respondent, due either to exhaust the list of numbers of hunting is to expire). If used, this final redirection includes an automatic call forwarding action. Therefore, the fighter pilot Configuration window includes call forwarding configuration concepts which are similar to those found on the directory number Configuration window.

    Example of a call hunt

Although hunting is different from the transfer, Hunt often develops as a call that gets forwarded to a certain number of fighter-pilot. The protective cover of appeal extends from hunting to allow the final drive after two exhausts of hunting or expires.

A typical call calling hunting can include the following phases:

The appeal of hunting through groupings of posts set up according to the algorithms implemented for each group. Hunting is successful (if it meets a hunting party), exhausts (if all parts of hunting are tempted, but no response), or expires (if the deadline set by the Maximum hunting timer runs out before that all parties are tempted, and none of the parties who have tried to answer).

For the purpose of this example, we assume that hunting does not succeed.

If a form any of the final drive is configured, the call forward for a next destination; otherwise, the call is released.

    Maximum hunting timer

The Maximum Hunt Timer field on fighter pilot Configuration window allows the administrator to enter a value (in seconds) to limit the hunting through a list of hunting season. After gaps in the time specified, if hunting was not successful, the call is transferred to a voicemail system, a specific compound number, or some personal treatment (if configured) or the call is released.

    The good doc.

    http://www.Cisco.com/en/us/docs/voice_ip_comm/CUCM/Admin/6_0_1/ccmsys/a03rp.html#wp1078922

If the call goes unanswered or all Member phones are disconnected, then an attacker needs to be applied at the level of the "fighter pilot".

    Hunt the settings forward

Before hunting without an answer - when did not answered the call which is distributed through the list of hunting at a specific time, this field specifies how to transfer the call.

Destination this parameter contains the number of the directory to which calls are forwarded.

Before busy hunt - when the call which is distributed through the list of hunting is busy at a precise moment, this field specifies how to transfer the call.

Destination this parameter contains the number of the directory to which calls are forwarded.

Maximum Timer Hunt - enter a value (in seconds) that specifies the maximum duration for hunting. (Used in conjunction with Forward busy hunting)

In your case, it is best to configure the DN of a fighter pilot in the extension of alternatives under the 1001 and 1002

    mailbox.

    I hope this helps!

  • Connection of the unit cannot read emails

We have a CUC test server and try to use the TTS. I installed the following:

1 on the IMAP service on the Exchange.

    2. has created an external account to receive as on the mail store.

3 created COS with TTS and allow the user with the COS.

4 created the external service within the user account its pages - same as the exchange alias.

We still get the following before the conversation of the unit:

"e-mails cannot be read at the time try again later".

Voicemail all the functionality seems to be fine it's just when we try and use the TTS.

    Hi Jeff,

You are currently trying to implement IMAP to work via the SSL protocol, or in the clear? An incomplete installation of SSL can be a cause of what you see, so I would first try to configure it without SSL, make a few calls to see that TTS works, and then convert on SSL by following the steps described in Chapter 7 of the install doc.

To make sure that you run without SSL, check under system settings > external Services > and set the security of Transport on 'None' if it isn't already. Also make sure that Exchange is configured to accept non-secure IMAP connections.

If you have tried this and the TTS still does not work, you could kill the "Maximum Delay for TTS access before Timeout" under system settings > advanced > Conversations between 4000 milliseconds to perhaps 6000 or 8000. This is a timeout that indicates how long it should wait for a response from IMAP to Exchange before giving up CUC. This is to avoid long pauses in the conversation that may occur if the Exchange Server is for some reason any do not respond sufficiently.

  • How to restore the connection of the unit Editor?

I found a typo in name of the editor, so I changed it in the Administration of the OS.  After the server rebooted, I can connect is no longer in the Administration of the unit.  I get database error messages when I try to log in.  The Subscriber is used as primary right now.

So I guess I need to reload the machine completely.  My question is once I start the installation process and bring this machine on the line, will all the information from the Subscriber database or is there something I need to do when installing to get there.  I really don't want to recreate everything that is there, even if these units have not gone into production yet.

There is also no backup because it is not in production.   I know that during the installation, I wonder if this is the first server in the cluster, don't I answer No. Although ultimately I want this server to be again the editor?

Thank you, any help is greatly appreciated.

    Seth

Well, if you want to go on the road to recharge then is the way to do it:

    (1) judgment of the Subscriber.

    (2) rebuild the editor, via DVD which will overwrite the hard drive. The DVD comes with the server. Do not try to use the CD "Recovery", just the right until the CD - version CUCM application (everything that sent you).

    (3) before installation of the Subscriber, make sure that you check the synchronization NTP on the (critical) Pub.

    (4) once you have rebuilt Editor, add the Subscriber in the CU Admin as part of the cluster as you normally would. Use the IP address of the server (recommended).

    (5) rebuild DVD subscriber you made to the Publisher. It should be added that the second node in the cluster, so make sure you have DNS and IP connectivity to all resources BEFORE the STEP 2 never happens.

    (6) once the two servers are running, check the ease of maintenance CUC and look at the State of the cluster.

    (7) then go to the CLI on both servers and run 'display tech hosts on the network '. The file/etc/hosts must have a loopback address and the two servers in cluster included in the file.

    (8) do a test on the ad user, check that it replicates to the Sub. Delete it the Sub, make sure that it removes the advertising.

    (9) to test the failover, then test failback on CUC Serviceability and put the editor back as being active.

    (10) you can also check the status of the cluster on both servers in the CLI - see the State of the cluster cuc is the command to do this.

    (11) if all that extracted, download your files to load licenses and make your configurations.

    (12) make sure that configure you DRS backups on a schedule (for two servers) and perform a manual DRS initial backup of both institutions.

    (13) I also recommend that you upgrade both at the last KNOWN for 7.1.3 which is 7.1 SU2 (3B). You can download EAC.

What about MWI, there is a specific service that allows to MWI work properly. If this service has not started on the Sub for some reason, when it changed, then this is perhaps the cause. Get the servers rebuilt and go from there. Sound good?
