Cannot display the page. Windows Media Center cannot open the page.  Contact technical support for the program.

I see all of the titles on my queue when I click on the Netflix icon, so obviously I am connected and connect, but cannot actually look at all the titles.

    Thanks for your help

  • I tried to open Windows Media Center, but this message keeps popping up "you are connected as a guest. Windows Media Center requires a non-invite account. »

I have problems with my account. I have a laptop with Windows 7 Home Premium, I tried to open Windows Media Center, but this message keeps popping up "you are connected as a guest. Windows Media Center requires a non-invite account. If you change your account type, contact the owner of this system. A similar message appears when I try to install the updates there are no other accounts on my computer and it still says I am admin.

    Hello

Have you made changes on the computer before this problem?

It seems a problem with missing or damaged system files. I would suggest trying the following methods and check if it helps.
    Method 1:
Let flow the Microsoft Safety Scanner and check if it helps.
    Microsoft security scanner: http://www.Microsoft.com/security/scanner/en-us/default.aspx
Note: The Microsoft Safety Scanner ends 10 days after being downloaded. During these 10 days, it will remove all the files infected by the virus and records. I suggest you create a backup of your data, and then install Microsoft Safety Scanner.

    Method 2:
Run the scan tool (SFC) System File Checker and check if it helps.
How to use the System File Checker tool to troubleshoot missing or corrupted system files on Windows Vista: http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/929833

    Method 3:
Try to create a new user account and check if it helps.
    Create a user account: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/Windows-vista/Create-a-user-account
If the problem is resolved in the new user account, this means that the old user profile is damaged. Here is the link to repair a user account damaged: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-vista/Fix-a-corrupted-user-profile

  • Problems with Netflix Plugin for Windows Media Center

I'd rather watch Netflix through my windows media center, since I can use a remote control, and I watch on a screen more great all in the comfort of my couch.

It is a huge pain in the rear to have to use the browser Netflix program and must be implemented on the second monitor. So just by using the browser is not a solution.

That being said, I can not play videos. On Windows Media Center, I open the Netflix plugin, log on to the account, access my instant queue, click on a movie, and then click play. It changes the blue background of the screen, and a small circle of spinning that tells it to load upwards. But then he just argued right out to the previous screen... which is description/options of the selected film (read, delete, find others like it).

I tried various films of selections. I tried to disconnect and return signature. Restarted the computer. Even uninstalled and reinstalled the plugin from Netflix, BOTH the Silverlight program. No chance whatsoever.

I contacted Microsoft and they are stumped on this. I was wondering if there is anyone here who had this problem and fixed.

Hmmm well the problem fixed itself somehow.

I tried to play a movie again today, and when I click on play, a windows media center style dialog box appears and asks something in the sense of knowing if I wanted WMC to access my netflix account. I clicked 'Yes', and it has loaded the film. I had not seen this before dialog box...

So I pressed the back button and tried again to see if it was indeed fixed. Yes. I tried again and again with different movies... and it WORKED!

I guess that the problem is not from my system, but rather netflix or something.

Anyone know how to fix this? Or otherwise, I just want to use my computer to watch TV on, and if I can do this other method other than Windows Media Center free I am happy to do.

  • When you try to set up my Tv Tuner in Windows Media Center, I get this error message: "TV Setup has encountered a serious problem. Click Finish to exit, and then try again. If this problem persists, restart Windows Media Center or the computer. »

I have a HP m8034n pc with a tuner Hauppauge WinTV HVR-1600 NTSC/ATSC Combo.  The pc came with Vista and Windows media center worked great just with the tv tuner.  I upgraded to Windows 7, December 2 and fail to put in place my tv with WMC tuner.  The recorded shows that I had before the upgrade to Windows 7 appear and play without problem in WMC. I used the hardware diagnostic tool that is installed on my pc to control the Tuner, and during the test, I can see fine TV stations.  This unit is compatible according to microsoft Windows 7. I have the latest driver and tried to uninstall and reinstall. I ran Windows Update and everything is up-to-date. After that WMC checks tuners, it says:

    screen A___
    WMC has discovered the following:
    Analog cable (1 Tuner)

Other tuners or TV signals were detected but will not be configured.
    (Show details)

Is this Setup correct and complete?
o Yes, configure TV with these results
    o no, show more options
    ________________
When I click on show details, it is said:

    screen B___
    No TV Signal
If a TV signal should be present, check your signal for following tuners connections and try again:
    Hauppauge WinTV 418 BDA Tuner
    ________________
There is another question, because he does not list my correct tv tuner. I click, so I'm now on A screen again.

When I click Yes, set up TV with these results,-(for the analog option Cable(1 tuner), I select my cable service is, and then click Next.) It then displays a confirmation of analog cable and my cable provider, I click Next again and the error message "installation TV met with a serious problem. Click Finish to exit, and then try again. If this problem persists, restart Windows Media Center or the computer. "appears.

I even tried to set up the signal manually and on the confirmation screen, I click Next, and get the exact same error.

I would really appreciate any help and if more details are required, please let me know.  Thank you!

    -Doug

I don't know what happened, I left my PC off overnight and planned reformatting today. But I decided to give him another chance. Instead of saying the tuner was not available. He showed me a static snow image strong, as he was trying to use my Analogue tuner. In fact, it is supposed to use the composite input for my cable box. I re set my TV signals, and now everything works well again. Its strange because I reboot half a dozen times last night and it's never worked. Leaving the PC turned off for the night must have done the trick, I guess.

  • Can share files with the XBox 360 to Windows 7, but unable to connect to Windows Media Center

I reinstalled my system of exploitation of 64-bit Windows 7 to Windows 7 32 bit and reinstalled the documents to the user and the location of the program on a separate hard drive data. I was able to add both my XBox 360 on Windows Media Center Extender at least 15 times before that, but it's the only time wherever I reinstalled with 32-bit and moving the location of the documents to another drive (even if I still have them settle there but just by changing the location under properties after the operating system is installed).

When I try to add the Xbox 360 as an Extender, it goes up to like making up the 'contact' on the Xbox loading screen, but then the Media Center on the PC says something in the sense of "Windows Media Center has encountered an error... »
