consent.exe use a large amount of processor (30 to 50%)

OS: Vista Service Pack
I have a Vista laptop newly imaged. I have at least once a week have a process called consent.exe extreme amounts of processor use.  Usually 30% to 50%.

Everything I read says this process belongs to the UAC, but doesn't give any advice on how which they tweeked it.

I believe that the problem could be linked to the army Gold Master CD. This military software add on seems to have problems. That said a lot of people on the internet have this problem with the help of the master of gold army.

I realized what it was.  I uninstalled Dameware and reinstalled.

We use VMware tools a few years now on our Windows 2012R2 environment.

But the last months we receive complains that some of our users of remote office that our servers are slow, memory is full, and users cannot sign outgoing/incoming.

After investigating this matter, we see that VMtoolsd.exe uses a lot of memory.

And it takes a lot of time to kill the process.

In the resource monitor, we discovered that the process uses a lot of discussion (sometimes 80,000). After killing the process, threads are down slowly to zero. After that the server responding normal.

On the internet I can't find someone who has this problem.

  • Iexplore.exe - USE HIGH CPU - 50% (dual processor) - Windows Vista Home Premium

    Help, please!

My HP dv9000 is slow.  PLEASE LET ME KNOW WHAT INFO YOU NEED ME!  In the Task Manager, under the terms of 'process', it indicates that there are FOUR INSTANCES of internet explorer running, but I only have one window open (with a tab).  I hear my hard drive constantly running and it drives me crazy (and make me cry for my poor computer).  The 4 iexplore.exe (IE8) use respectively 110 000 - 82 300-78 000 - and 8000 K.  Is this normal?

I don't know if we are more concerned by the "CPU" column or in the column "memory (private beach).  In the CPU column, HP Digital Imaging Monitor uses 50.  Is this normal?

Please, I just want my computer to be able to relax.  I'm afraid it's going to explode (not literally, but that's what it looks like!).

    Hello Elizzee,

Thank you for posting.  It seems you might have a form of hard-ware on your computer.  I have a useful link to a scan of the free system for viruses, malware and spyware listed below.

    http://OneCare.live.com/site/en-us/default.htm

You can also do a full scan with your antivirus program on your computer installing later.

Please let me know if this has been helpful for you.

  • Update of Microsoft using large amounts of resources

I have 2 computers with Microsoft update by using a large amount of RAM.  Wuauclt.exe and svchost.exe eat so much memory that do not complete the updates.  This happened for a few weeks and have just been told.  I have reset the updates that did not help.  I disabled Microsoft Updates which seems to fix the problem.  A system has 512 MB of RAM and Norton AV, the other has 1 GB of RAM and NOD32.

    Hi Chris,

    Method 1:

First of all I suggest you enable Microsoft Updates for your computer. An analysis online for your computer from the link given below, because this can be a problem if your computer is infected by viruses or malware.

    http://OneCare.live.com/site/en-us/default.htm

    Method 2:

In addition, would suggest you use the (SFC.exe) System File Checker tool to determine which file is causing the problem and then replace the file. To do this, follow the link below.

Description of Windows XP and Windows Server 2003 System File Checker (Sfc.exe)

  • "bzsbkotiu.exe" uses a high memory amount

    Original title: "bzsbkotiu.exe".

'bzsbkotiu.exe' is a file that I think is associated with Adobe Updater. This exe appears three times in Task Manager/processes and uses a large amount of memory. I deleted at startup, but it returns later. When I ask where the file is located, it shows in the program data. When I go to Program Data is not there, and I did not show my hidden files. I tried AFAIK to get rid of this thing short of remove all Adobe programs, but I need some of them. Did anyone had this problem where you can't get rid of a program. I'm running Windows 7 Ultimate.

This is the normal installation path:
    C:\ProgramData\AudioCodec0\bzsbkotiu.exe

You may need to change your settings in Windows to be able to view the file. To show hidden files type Folder Options in the search box above the Start button and select view advanced settings and check that the box "display files and folders" and 'Hide protected operating system files' are not checked. You may need to scroll down to see the second element. You should also make sure that the box before "Hide extensions of known file types" is not checked.

According to the link I posted earlier it is not detected by Malwarebytes.

You can use the Microsoft Safety Scanner to detect and eliminate the threat:

  • Spooler SubSystem App process in Windows consumes a large amount of memory

    Hello

I have HP B110a (all in a single combo)

    The system is Windows 8.1

Drivers - HP's new web site.

There is no problem of instalation and connection via USB and wireless.

But I noticed a problem with the Wi - Fi - process Spooler SubSystem App (spoolsv.exe) consumes a large amount of RAM memory, it has even 1, 5 GB! I note that the C:\Windows\System32\spool\PRINTERS catalog is empty - it happens when the printer is in sleep mode, not printing or scanning.

Problem does not occur for the USB connection.

Any advice? I think that this is a problem in the printer driver.

I will be grateful for your help, because I can't use all the features of the device.

    Best regards, Masson

    Hi man,

I understand that you have all the features of your HP B110a. I recommend that you use printing HP and doctor Scan.

HP printing and doctor Scan is a free utility (tool) that allows to quickly solve common printing, scanning and connectivity problems. HP recommends that you run the tool every time that you need to solve a problem.

Printing and scanning doctor diagnoses and resolves common printing, scanning and connectivity problems, including:
  • Audiodg.exe uses 99% processor

Audiodg.exe uses 99% of a CPU, even if I'm not playing music, watch video, or do everything related to audio.

Please don't tell me that disabling audio enhancements is the only solution. (For example: http://technicallyeasy.net/2009/03/fix-audiodgexe-high-cpu-usage/) Disabling application functionality useful because Windows has a problem is no solution.

    And by the way:

    1. No new software installed recently.
    2. No help from resolution of performance problems.
    3. Not solved by a clean boot.
Did you visit the web site of the manufacturer of the hardware device and download the latest driver for combination of said hardware/OS and install them again?

I suggest you only do this if you do not have.

Let us know if it works.

  • Converting large amounts of points - 76 million lat/lon to space object...

    Hello, I need help.

Platform - Oracle 11g 64 bit on 64-bit Windows server 2008 Enterprise.  64 GB of ram with 2 processors for a total of 24 cores

Does anyone know a quick way to convert large amounts of points of a space object?  I need to convert lat/lon st_geometry ESRI or Oracle sdo_geometry 76 millions.

Currently I have the configuration code using parallel functions in pipeline and several jobs that run at the same time.  It takes still more than 2.5 hours to deal with all the points.

    Pointers would be GREATLY appreciated!

    Thank you

    John

    Hello

Where is the lat/long data at this time?  In an external text file or in an existing database table as attributes numbers?

If they are in an external text file, then I'd probably use an external table to load them in as soon as possible.

Are they in an existing database table, then you can just update the column sdo_geometry to help:

    update set = sdo_geometry(2001, , sdo_point_type(, , null), null, null)
    where is not null
    and  is not null;

That must run very fast for you.  If you want to avoid the overhead of creating again, you can use "create table... as select... ».  This example of creating 1 000 000 points works in 9 seconds for me.

create table sample_points (geometry) nologging as
      (select sdo_geometry(2001, null,
      sdo_point_type(
      trunc(100000 * dbms_random.value()),
      trunc(100000 * dbms_random.value()),
      null), null, null)
      from dual connect by level <= 1000000);

I have the configuration code using parallel functions in pipeline and several jobs that run simultaneously

You must use pl/sql for this task.  If you find you, then provide a code example and we'll take a look.

    Kind regards

  • Large amount of malware on my computer, go to the format C:\

My computer has recently been infected with large amounts of malware, which was downloaded and then in turn the spyware, adware, practically everything. It has infected my Mcaffee, prevented me from visiting sites on the internet such as Google, or any anti-virus Web site. It has also infected my system restore, so that either does not work. I have been dealing with a pretty bad virus before I can delete records using HijackThis, I already booted in safe mode and run any antivirus software that I have.

I write this on another computer, I bought the Dell Inspiron 5100 around Christmas, with an AMD 5600 + X 2 processor and nVidia 8600GT graphics card.

I was counting on the formatting of my hard drive to start from scratch. My computer came with a recovery disk, and as far as I understand it's the Microsoft Vista inside package. What I want to know is, how could I go around formatting C:\ and my recovery disk includes it all the necessary drivers for my hardware, and also how I would install a recovery drive D:\, as I only installed before operating of CD systems.

    Thanks for your help.

  • Firefox 4 causes my toolbar of the window to freeze! It also uses a huge amount of memory, 220 000. more than any other program.

Since the update to Firefox 4 my Windows toolbar crashes after a few minutes. Firefox also uses a huge amount of memory. More than any other program and I have a lot of powerful programs. This time 222 000. More than any other program. Critical problem.

I am glad that you are making progress. With all the Firefox test gets I was optimistic, such a problem could not escaped, and that the problem is more likely to be on your own computer.

    P. S.

  • Explorer.exe and svchost.exe using too much memory

I have disabled the automatic updates after the last round of updates, and now, all of a sudden, explorer.exe and svchost.exe use too much memory... enough to interfere with other programs, I try to use.

    Help?

Windows XP Professional - Svc Pack 3 processor: Intel (r) Pentium (r) D CPU 2.80GHz CPU speed: 2.73 GHz memory: 512 MB

Why you turn off automatic updates?

There are between the two options. I just set it to notify. When it is practical, I go to the Microsoft Update slte and use the custom (not Express) option. This gives the user full control of the update of trial.

You will have a better idea of the cause of the problem using Process Explorer.

    Download Process Explorer.
For more information about Process Explorer, see here:
    http://www.Microsoft.com/technet/sysinternals/SystemInformation/ProcessExplorer.mspx

With svchost.exe provide us a list of services using the process. There are number of processes that are using svchost.exe, so we need to know that we provide more targeted assistance. Right click on the process, click on properties and look at the Services tab.

Solution Explorer. exe has a number of subprocesses. Select the sub-process, click Properties and check the Services tab.

Have you recently changed all types of starting any service. This often leads to the problem. Users often disable a reflection of service to speed up the system performance. In practice what is done is of one or several programs to malfunction.

    Hope this helps, Gerry Cornell

    Hello

I inadvertly solves the problem by changing my default from iTunes media player to Media Player.

    Hope this helps someone else!

Thanks for the link to Process Explorer :)

  • Is it better to transfer usb2, eSATA (or usb3) in small quantities or large amounts of data? Corrupted data?

Not sure if this should be in performance/maintenance or hardware/drivers.

Hello. I was wondering about the usb2, eSATA and a bit on the usb3. I have usb2 and eSATA on my systems.

Someone I work with told me that there may be corrupted data if you transfer a large amoutns of data via Usb2. It is best to break your files to move, copy, etc., he said. My colleague told me earlier that anything more than 30 or 40 GB start to be transferred correctly from external factors or for some reason any.

These issues apply to eSATA or Usb3? I guess not, since these other methods are designed to transfer large amounts of data.

Is this true? Is this due to material limitations? What is the recommended size of transfer? It's Windows XP, Vista or 7 limits?

Any info or links are appriciated.

    Thank you.

I have never heard of something like this before and have done some fairly large data movements in the past.  I would recommend using the program Robocopy in Windows Vista/Windows 7 (and available for Windows XP as a download add-on) to drag the move instead of type / move, given that Robocopy includes a number of features and security provisions that are not present in the case.
