CONTACT ID FAIL - iPHONE 6 (9.3.1)

Hello

Recurring problems with the Touch ID on my iPhone 6, running the latest iOS (9.3.1).

In short, it does not work. When you try to turn it on, you get the same error message - 'failed. Cannot complete installation contact ID. If please go back and try again. »

I took my phone in the Apple store & he cannot understand what is wrong with it. They think it's a hardware problem, but I don't think it is. A hard reset does nothing, but when you reinstall the operating system, or configure the phone again, then the ID Touch starts to work.

However, begin to use the phone as usual, and in a few days the Touch ID fails again. The only way to make it work is to completely clean the phone & reinstall everything (which is a major concern), but even in this case, the problem resurfaces surface after a few days.

Guess I'll need to wait for the next software update & hope this fixes the problem for good... but if someone has a different fixed temp (beyond the above), then I'll gladly try them!

Thank you very much

Ed.

Why you would not believe them? If they thought it was a hardware problem, how are they going to solve? Is your phone under warranty? If so, they would replace it. If this isn't the case, you would probably qualify for out-of-warranty replacement.

What happens if you restore the phone like new and don't put all of your data and content on? If she continues to run, the question would be a kind of corruption of your data.

Waiting around another system update will not solve your problem, because this isn't a problem with the operating system 9.3.1. Wait for the next update solves something rarely other than the known problems that the next update is designed to address.

    Hello BellaMichelle,

Thank you for reaching out to the Community Support from Apple. I know how important it is to have your contacts consistently on all of your devices, especially if you need stay in touch throughout the day. I will do all I can to help. Looks like you have configured correctly the things, but synchronization may have just gotten hung up.

One of the easiest ways we can try to kick start things must simply sign your Mac off iCloud and then again to make a new connection. After a few minutes, the contacts should begin to update. To do this, you can open your system preferences, click the iCloud and click Disconnect. Your Mac will give you the option to keep or remove certain information. Whenever the option is available, do not forget to click on "continue on my Mac.

Once you have disconnected, go ahead and reboot then reconnect and give contacts for a few minutes to download and update.

If they are not always appear, while he would have to do is go to iCloud on a computer using this link: iCloud.  When you are there, click on Contacts and see if they all appear correctly there.

The entire community is here to help.

  • How to delete contacts on my iPhone double 5 after system update?

How can I remove duplicate contacts from the iPhone to my and my husband 5 after update to version 9.21?

If you synchronize your Contacts via iCloud, the best way to remove duplicates is via the Contacts on your Mac application. The Contacts open, then under the map in the main menu option, select "Look for duplicates. Allows you to remove them quickly, and they must push the info updated for your devices. If she does not push it back, then on your device, go to settings > iCloud and turn off the Contacts and then turn on again.

I found that my Mac showed a duplicate of almost all contacts, I had. Once I did the above, they are all cleared up.

  • I have more contacts in my iPhone

    I have an iPhone6S more

As I had problems synchronizing contacts in my iPhone with iCloud, I followed the instructions:

Disable the iCloud Contacts and turn it back on

and I chose to delete all contacts from my phone. When I turned on contacts back I do not have contacts all do more and they or synchronize with iCloud.

This only happens with contacts and NOT with the calendar.

Have you tried restoring your iPhone to a previous backup until you have disabled the iCloud Contacts?

Before you do this, I suggest you:

    1. Go to iCloud.com
    2. Click on the settings icon
    3. Scroll down and click on 'Restore Contacts'

    Thank you

  • How can I move contacts from an iPhone to an ipad?

How can I move contacts from my daughter from his iPhone on his iPad. I need to do this via iPad and iPhone that our computer just died. My daughter has no e-mail. Recently, I added my email on his iPad to check my mail. I then deleted the email. I myself remember that I received a message saying the removal of the email would be to delete all contacts. I deleted the email anyway. Unfortunately, the iPad doesn't have contacts. In addition, our family sharing an Apple ID I have my contacts on my iPhone and iPad, as I have my email on both devices. I just need to know if there is an easy way to move telephone contacts on the iPad.

You can use AirDrop. You will need to do each contact one at a time, but that work. Just activate AirDrop on each device, select the contact, and then select share contact. Hope that helps.

  • How can I remove and replace all THE contacts on my iPhone 6 s

I just got a new iPhone 6s and had my contacts migrated to she an old HTC Android phone at the office of my carrier. Migration not be passed not as planned and all my contacts are screwed up. I would like to delete all contacts and replace them in the good list which is on my MacBook Pro. How is the best way to do it? FYI, I'm long (Senior) Mac user, but a smart phone for novice user. Once I get the old deleted contacts, can I do a direct link to my MacBook via USB? Or should I create an Archive of my contacts and somehow get in the cloud and download it from there? Thanks in advance for your help.

I fixed this problem myself. Here's how I did it...

    (1) on my new iPhone 6s, I went to settings > iCloud > Contacts and turned on OFF.

    (2) then I went to my MacBook Pro > address book. In my address book on the left hand side there was a list called "ICloud all.» I selected all the contacts in this list and deleted (it has not deleted the list "on my Mac".)

    (3) I went back to my iPhone settings > iCloud and turned the "Contacts" button. Back to my phone button and selecting 'Contacts' verified that there is no left of Contacts on my iPhone.

    (4) go back to my MacBook > addressbook, I copied the 'groups' I wanted to list "all iCloud.

    (5) I did a "hard reboot" on my iPhone and Voila! -all my contacts are now on my iPhone and I could turn the groups on or off because I am pleased.

NOTE: I could have done the same thing except in step (4) above, I could have copied 'All the Contacts' in the field 'Cloud of all', but I wanted to only certain groups on my phone.

I hope this helps others with the same problem.
