Contact synchronization

Can someone help me get my iPhone contact names to transfer to my iMessenger on my Mac?  I can't see phone numbers and not names on my Mac. My iCloud works to synchronize other things, but not this one. Thank you!

1 Please export your contacts directly from icloud.com in a file for extra security.

2. Save all data.

3. open the iCloud pane in system preferences. Make sure you are connected to your usual Apple ID uncheck that box Contacts. When you are prompted to confirm, select

Delete Mac

The contacts will always be iCloud and all other devices that synchronize with the same account. Open the preferences window.

4 launch the Contacts application and check that your iCloud contacts have been deleted. If you keep all your contacts in iCloud, the database should now be empty.

5. in the window of preferences iCloud, re - check the Contacts area and close the window. Contacts should appear in a few seconds, if you are connected to the Internet. Otherwise, stop here and post your results.

When iCloud calendars and Contacts synchronize with desktop 2016?

I have the same exact question. IM an Apple user. Only Apple hardware. Everything is in iCloud and services from Apple except for all my data located in OneDrive and I use Microsoft Office (office 2016, on and off line) applications. Do not use mail.app, my iCloud mail is sent to my address outlook.com and I get all my email through Outlook applications.

I have a sync going on between my iCloud (family) calendars and contacts so that they will become visible in all applications to use them, Microsoft Office Online on the web and in applications on my devices as well.

From today or yesterday, it appears than iCloud for Windows now supports mail, contacts, calendars and reminders in Outlook 2007 even though 2016. But do I need a PC running Windows with Outlook installed to achieve this synchronization is going? It works if not where can I get the synchronization goes without having to use a Windows PC?

  • BlackBerry Smartphones to BB Bold 9780 Outlook Contacts synchronization problem

A few weeks ago, when I started to sync my Outlook Contacts to my BB, a message window pops up letting me know that RIM is no more using the same method to do.  Since then, I was unable to carry out a synchronization.

When I start a synchronization, first of all, he said "Have information of the State of the BB address book" and reads all of the records quickly, then he said "Have information state of Outlook Contacts" and reads all of the records quickly. After that, he said 'get more information state of Outlook Contacts", but underneath, what is said"Card reading 1", then"read 2 records", etc as there are records.  She does very slowly, as it takes 20 minutes to read 50 records and I have 1900 records.

    I called T-Mobile, they couldn't help me.

I uninstalled and reinstalled the desktop software.  I have updated the software of BB. None of these permits.

Last night, I left my BB plugged to the computer at night to see if she would complement all.  In the morning, the BB Desktop Software had closed and the contacts were not properly synchronized.

Help!  I need contacts on my phone.

Hi - I'm the one who reported the problem at first.  I found the CD Moose comes with the phone and installed the old version 6.0 of the BB Desktop software.  My Outlook Contacts now synchronize very well, as they did before.  This seems to have solved the problem.  Maybe the other person with the same problem can do the same thing.  The other thread has a link to older versions of the software, but I hesitated to use because he said it was for Verizon and I have T-Mobile, but if I could not find my old CD, I would have given a trial.  I mention this just in case you do not have the CD.  Many thanks to those who helped and good luck to others with this issue.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones Desktop Software - 8310 - true Newbie Question - Contact synchronization

I did some research but I'm unable to find the contacts for my office management software.  I'm a BB user first. I had a palm a few years ago and I could change my details on my desk and then synchronize my palm device.  Is it possible to do with BB?

It's for personal use, so I have BES.  I downloaded the Desktop Manager, but I have no application to synchronize.  I had all my contacts from my phone last imported into the BB and want to change the information.  I was hoping I could do that to my office and the synchronization with the BB instead of doing everything on my BB keyboard.

    Any thoughts?

The BlackBerry Desktop Manager is not like the Palm software that you do not change the information directly in the Desktop Manager software. You will need to have an organizer like Microsoft Outlook when you change your contacts, then you can use the Desktop Manager to sync module to synchronize information from Outlook to the BlackBerry.

  • Contacts synchronization with Outlook blackBerry Smartphones

Entered into a long list of contacts in Outlook: for example, "Full Name: John Smith", "file as: Smith, John."   Synch is great with my Storm, including all other data in the Outlook folder... HOWEVER, the list of the handheld is ranked alphabetically by first name.   Cannot work with it this way!   Any ideas?

Also, does anyone know how to set a group phone # list of SMS messages to a list of outlook contacts?

"Blackberry Storm for Dummies" is useful for the user?

Open address book, click options and the menu button

    Click on General options

    change last name sortby

I believe that if your BB software is 4.5 or more he accepts from outlook distribution lists, don't know if you can make one on the BB, but you can in outlook and synchronize on

  • Contacts synchronization to Smartphones blackBerry and calendar - problems with Outlook Connector (and other things).

    Hello world

I just got my first BlackBerry (storm) and this is my first post on the forums.  I read around a lot and found pieces of this problem but no definitive answer (which I understand).  So, I know it's a delicate subject, but really hope that someone can help you.

FYI, I use Windows Vista and Outlook 2003 with the connector Outlook synchronize my e-mail, contacts and calendar on my Windows Live Hotmail account.

I installed the Desktop Manager software V.4.7 and crossed to set up > sync and selected Outlook for Contacts.  The wizard all seems to work OK but then when I press "Finish" I get the error message ' file is does more part of the system data source or the couldnot folder is located.

I partially understand the idea that my Contacts are not in Outlook, they are in my hotmail/live account.  My question is how can I work around this problem and import my contacts to the BlackBerry?  It will not accept an exported .pst file or can it link directly to hotmail?

(On the basis of the advice on the forum), I found is you go into Outlook and adjust the settings of your e-mail account to send incoming emails into "Personal folder" instead of "* @hotmail.co.uk ' then he manages to pass the error message, however, I found no data calendar or contact in my outlook personal folders for BlackBerry to synchronize with a time that I did."

I'll try to do a few requests on a Microsoft forum on the features between Outlook and Hotmail to see if there is an easy way to get my data anywhere in the personal folders so that the BlackBerry it can sync from there.  I'm afraid to lose emails or functionalitly to the Outlook Connector on my PC to subsequently change the default e-mail folder.

Sorry for the length of the message but thought the more detail the better - thanks in advance for any help you can offer,

    Al.

Just in case anyone else has this problem, I got a work around (not a solution, but it works).  In Outlook, go to Contacts - export to file and select: separation by comma (Windows). CSV file - save it to your PC.

Then open a Yahoo mail account (if you have not already one) go to Classic view, Contacts and to the right of the screen, there is an option to import/export.  Select the location of the CSV file you saved on your PC and transfer it on Yahoo.

You can now go through the DM Assistant and select sync with Yahoo.  It is ideal to add contacts to the phone for the first time.  Don't forget to make sure that everything is up-to-date and complete in Outlook Contacts before export to the CSV file.

If you want to add contacts to the future, the best way is to add to Outlook first and then go through the process of exporting the CSV file again - this will ensure that all records are the same.  Although if you wanted too, you can also export from BB in Yahoo, then in Outlook as Yahoo also exported contacts to a CSV file.

    Hope that helps someone...

    Al.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones Yahoo contacts synchronizes only one way

Sync OTA between the Contacts of Yahoo and the BB address book synchronizes only Yahoo for my BB.  If I make changes on a contact in Yahoo, it appears on the BB in 4 hours.  But if I make a change to a contact on my BB, the change does not appear in Yahoo.  Does anyone else have this problem or does anyone know if this is supposed to work this way or not?

After you delete the account of the phone completely and then add, everything worked normally.  In fact, it seems to be synchronization immediately, rather than the 4 hour time limit specified in the master of BIS.

  • No calendar or contacts synchronization

Replacement unit.  Synchronization of successful restore everything but the calendar and contacts.  Calendar and contacts had stopped syncing with the previous device.

Try to synchronize with Outlook.  Tried the Palm conduits both Chapura.  Notes and sync my tasks.  Contacts and Calendar do not.  Synchronization by default value, a time desktop replaces the handheld computer.

No error message in the log.  No attempt to sync with these applications.

Responsible for Chapura for test trial version.  the synchronization stops before trying these lines.

    That is what it is?

    (Palm Desktop 4.14)

You use versamail to retrieve emails or have you gone and set up this application to synchronize with an exchange server. Doing so will break the link to synchronize contacts and calendar on your PC items, it is design and not a "mistake".

  • Facebook for Photos Contact synchronization

Given that I have updated to iOS 10, all conversations of Messages displays the contact photo. Ideally, I'd like to move this back just displaying their name; the photo and the name together are too cluttered. But I have not found a solution to this problem because it seems to be part of the iOS 10, which cannot be changed.

Given that I'm stuck with contact pictures in my posts, I would like to add photos to my contacts now. I have synced my contacts with Facebook, but it moves not in fact from the contact pictures. Under my contacts there is now a link to their Facebook profile, so I don't know that it correctly detects the contact and a Facebook account. However, the contact photos are unchanged. How can I import the photos in Facebook profile in my contacts, as suggested by the settings that I can?

    Hello anderscarey7,
Thank you for using communities of Apple Support.

If I understand your message that you want to know if you can disable the function of photo that shows now at the top of the Messages to your contacts and how you can import Facebook profile photos to use as your contacts photos.

The function of photo for contacts in Messages is not a feature that can be adjusted. Regarding photos of Facebook profile for contact photos, Yes, you can, but it's dependent on whether you have e-mail address of the contact and if they share that e-mail address on their profile of social media.

Sign in a social networks like Facebook and Twitter on iPhone, iPad and iPod touch

The Contacts app is the email address of your contact with the corresponding address on social media. If you have not registered an email address in the Contacts application, or if they do not share an e-mail address on their profile of social media, this contact will not be updated on your device.

    Best regards

  • Combine related contacts, synchronize with gmail and contacts backup

For now, I have multipule contacts on my atrix which are "related". Is there anyway to permanently consolidate all related into one contacts and export all my contacts into a csv file for outlook and gmail?

epribs wrote:Right now I have multipule contacts on my atrix that are "linked." Is there anyway to permanently consolidate all the linked contacts into one and export all my contacts as a csv file for outlook and gmail?

    One thing is certain...

If you install Backup contact UIA in the market, you can send the csv file and change it on your pc/mac, import into gmail and then use gmail to find and merge contacts in doubles.

After its all cleaned up your contacts will be synchronized on your phone as long as you have it in your google account settings on your phone.

    Thank you

  • How to add a contact after facebook contacts synchronization

I went on my facebook account and agreed to the timing of my Facebook friends in my contact list. First he added 800 people to my contacts, and I even need 700 of these people in my phone so I took it to verizon and they didn't know how to help me. To remedy this, I took the time to remove 700 contacts on my phone. Now, I want to add the people I work with in my contact list, and when I add them and click "done" it does not appear in my contact list. I don't know how to add new contacts, but it is very important to learn how! Can someone help me please! If verizon can help me I don't know where to get help!

Well... First make sure your list of contacts on gmail is fine.  I don't want to be responsible for you nothing lose too, when you do a hard reset the phone is completely set to factory default.  MY SD card was not hit at all, but some say it can be destroyed, so it is recommended to take out before a reset (I have not, did not read this trick until after I did lol).  I go through and clean up the SD card, has however, deleted all the folders which created apps, left the Docs folder that I made.

The steps I used were in the: http://www.ehow.com/how_5634169_hard-reset-motorola-droid.html

You get to go through all of the first installation (which I liked) and then give your google credentials.  It will put everything in place and you will be back to square one.

Again, if you follow this path, make you all your gmail contacts are good lookin.
