Container plugin consumes massive system resources

When I play flash games on facebook, I noticed after a few minutes my computer seems slow down and continues to be.
When I looked in the Task Manager, plugin - container.exe uses up to 1.2 GB of my memory.
For example, the time I have more Castleville running, it falls to about 40 MB, which is much more acceptable.

Prior to version 10 of Firefox, I could disable the plugin-container, but now the option seems to disappear in version 11.
Please help, I want to disable my computer can function normally. It's crazy that I can't have just that one tab open, to play Castleville for 5 minutes before it happens a little stuck.

I tried the suggestions for [[high memory usage | https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/KB/High%20memory%20usage]], but it did not help or already made before playback.
My Flash is up to date (11.2.202.233), Firefox is 11.0.

Any help would be appreciated to disable / restrict the plugin-container.

  1. Type of topic: config in the address bar and press ENTER.
  2. Press the big button to ignore the warning.
  3. In the filter bar, paste dom.ipc.plugins.enabled
  4. In the lower pane, double-click dom.ipc.plugins.enabled to set its value to false.

Warning

This will disable any out-of-process plug-ins. The problem is that, in order to disable Flash Player specifically, you must create a Boolean preference named dom.ipc.plugins.enabled. < Filename > and set it to the value false. But the name of the file depends on the version, and Flash Player is updated frequently (for example, it's now called NPSWF32_11_2_202_233.dll). So except if you plan to create a new preference and reset the old one whenever you have updated Flash Player, deactivation of all out-of-process plug-ins is the way to go.

  • How to run VI in the background and save system resources

    Hello

I want to develop an application (pc, windows 7) that checks the line port DSR series every 100 MS basically, I know how to create a VI that works with serial ports using VISA drivers. My request or my VI must be invisible to the user, and a variable DSR everytime level incrementing counter is high.

What is the best way to create a VI that runs in the background (invisible to the user, not even shown minimized in the taskbar). Given that the application needs to run most of the time, when the pc is running, I don't want to use too much computer resources (cpu, memory on an average desktop pc). The user should be able to work with other applications like ms office, during execution of the VI in the background.

LabVIEW is appropriate create a background VI which periodically checks the serial port and consumes system resources minimum or are languages like c ++ much better suited to save system resources? What is the best way to create an invisible VI that is running in the background?

Thank you very much for your help!

    Tom

On any modern hardware, the difference in the use of resources among a LabVIEW application and written in C++ for a simple task like this will be minimal. Anyway that you use a fraction of the time CPU available if the application is written correctly.

To run an invisible VI in the background, see user-defined execution of a LabVIEW Application as Windows Service.

  • Reservation of memory from system resources

I use monik part of backup tools, and there is a best practice to change the setting of the CPU and the memory at 1500 MHz and 800 MB.

In the next page of VMware KB, there is a description to change the allocation of memory, only in ESXi 4.1, there is no material cofiguration option > memory.

    http://KB.VMware.com/selfservice/microsites/search.do?language=en_US & cmd = displayKC & externalId = 1003501

But in configuration > system resource allocation, I can set the CPU and memory, is that the same allocaiton memory for the ESXi console?

On this tab, we have generally fine tune the allocation of resources for this host. But this sentence anyone unless someone has encountered a problem. For the parameters of the ESX host we usually set the value in memory and CPU for the console of any third-party application or service that makes us turn on this host.

In the case of ESXi, if big it seems people leave just as Norbert has asked to change by a seller of 3rd party app.

Please refer to this article which contains details about the reservation of memory from system resources

  • container plugin Firefox crashes when you try to connect to GMail

I changed my password on one of my Google mail accounts, and now I can not connect; Firefox Container Plugin breaks down. I put my new password, and then as soon as I put in the verification code, Firefox crashes. None of my other accounts for that. How can I resolve this - it's not a question of GMail.

Because Flash is the more commonly used plugin, could temporarily block you Flash on Google. Here's how I suggest you do:

On a search on google.compage, open the Panel of permissions of the Page Info dialog box using one of these:

    • Right-click the page and choose View Page Info > permissions
    • (menu bar) Menu Tools > Page Info > permissions
    • Click the icon of padlock or globe to the left of the address of the site > additional information > permissions

In the upper part, find Adobe Flash and change the parameter block. This should apply not only in research, but also to the login page and Gmail.

    Does make a difference?

  • Container plugin for firefox still plays the audio ads. I'm deleting it and he returned without permission. How can I get rid of him?

I got it removed from the location of the file several times. The only solution I found is to stop the process in the Task Manager, but it of a pain and should be repeated several times within minutes of each other. How safely get rid of this to always unless it somehow being added again. Thank you

    Hello
You talked about the process of container Plugin, so I assume you really mean ads Flash. In this case, you need at least a few options to choose from:
    (1) you can uninstall the Adobe Flash plugin . This will get rid of the real plugin, the Plugin container 'contains', but it will most likely be unwanted side effects: you will not be able to play some Flash games, or watch Flash video on Web sites that use them (e.g. Facebook).
    (2) you could install an ad blocking extension in Firefox, like AdBlock Plus. These lots of ad, Flash extensions block not only those, but they can not and do not all ads block. If this is the path you choose, just head to the Addon Manager, enter 'Adblock' in the search field and install extensions referring to research. I do not use one of them myself, so I give my opinion on which of them, you need to install.
    (3) my personal way preferred: Set Adobe Flash "Click to play" on Firefox. This will keep the Flash Plugin on your computer, but will allow you to opt-in to each page to see what the plugin is set to display (you can always allow websites that you want to enable Flash automatically, it just will not be the default behavior for more).

  • "Container Plugin for Firefox" wants to access Internet. Ok?

I've recently updated to FireFox 24.0 running Windows XP SP3. Now my firewall (Windows 7 Firewall Control vs 5.0.0.15) gives me a notice that he has blocked the following program:

    Mozilla Corporation
    Container plugin for Firefox
    Firefox
    License: MPL license 2
    plugin - container.exe
    Firefox
    24.0

Is - this legitimate part of FireFox?
    Require access to the Internet?
If Yes, what level of access do I need (e.g., WebBrowserZone, FTPZone, Web + FTPZone)?

You would need at least access to the browser, but plugins can also use other TCP and UDP connections, you may need to keep an eye on it in case of problems. Plugins will not use FTP connections.

  • Put into hibernation - insufficient system resources exist to complete the API (Tecra M4)

I just thought I'd pass on my experience with this problem.

I recently updated my Tecra M4 2 GB of RAM memory. Everything was fine except everyonce in a while he would not hibernate. However, it would suspend to RAM (standby). It seemed to happen after the antivirus software has managed to (which I had changed at the same time). I studied this way, but it also happened if I had a lot of programs running. So, a quick google search revealed why almost all laptops come with only 512 MB of RAM.

There is a problem with Windows, freeing the memory in a way that allows it to be written to the hard disk, preventing the hibernation and to create the very vague error message "insufficient system resources exist to complete the API".

The solution is to contact Microsoft by phone and ask them for the fix for the #909095 of the Knowledge Base article. The fix is free but the MS site makes it seem as if you have to pay £200 to contact Ms support

This seems to have solved my problem!
    Hooray!

This is the Knowledge Base article:
    http://support.Microsoft.com/?kbid=909095

Here's the Blog I found the solution on:
    http://www.ntwizards.NET/2004/10/13/Hibernate
Of course, the only problem with contacting MS support is that I received a LOT of phone calls asking me what I thought of their support... it was very good, so I don't really mind, but I find it funny that I continue to have called and asked the same questions!

    Hi Kelly

    Thanks for this useful information.
It of very nice that you posted this tip. I think that it s very useful for users of the forum who might have the same problems on laptops.

    Hello

OT: I can not install my wireless adapter TP-Link on PC under Windows XP Pro. I continue to receive messages from "insufficient system resources exist to complete the requested service" after each reinstallation
I had this problem since I moved into my new house two weeks ago. To my old place, my pc is connected to my router via a network cable, so everything was fine and dandy. However, to my new place, with a network cable is just not possible, so I use a usb wireless adapter to connect. I bought a TP-Link Wireless N USB Adapter (model TL-WN727N) and I can not installed.  First, I installed the software using the CD-ROM of resources which is come with the product then connected the adapter wireless on my usb port at the back of the pc. It detects the device very well, but when he wants to install the driver of this message displays "an error occurred during the installation of the device. Insufficient system resources exist to complete the requested service". When I opened my device manager, a yellow exclamation mark under Network - 802.11 n WLAN cards there. In this window, I tried:!. the driver update (latest driver same downloaded of the site Web of TP-Link) 2. Disable the device (nothing happens) and 3. Uninstall (which I just can't because another message "failed to uninstall the device. The device may be required to start the computer"is displayed). All three failed to install my wireless card. I am out of resources here, so any help is greatly appreciated.
