content of the iPad

When it is connected to iTunes, the summary page shows that I have almost 4 GB of data, and other documents stored on my 16 GB iPad.  How can I see what makes 4 GB, so that I can remove which didn't need to be there and free space?  Thanks a lot for all ideas/help provided.

The iOS needs little space. No chance to erase these data. -It is not too advised

  • Viewer content on the issue of the iPad

Anyone else see something like that, I have a folio has shared with me. I open the viewer content on the iPad (which is updated and rebooted). I sign in and then try to download the shared folio. It generates an error and then I signed out and all of the common folios disappear from the content viewer (because they are always in the cloud). I can't find a way around it - so I connect the iPad to my machine and preview folios shared by InDesign.

This resembles the v25 double connection bug. In some situations, you need to sign both times see your folios.

  • copy of the photos of the iPAD 2

My mother died, and I got his iPAD 2. I would like to transfer the pictures stored on a PC. As far as I understand, if I sync it to another user in itunes, the current content will be deleted. Y at - it another way to do it.

    I'm sorry for your loss.

You synchronize the photos to a computer, so it has nothing to do with iTunes. You import pictures to a computer by connecting the iPad to the computer with the cable and then use any camera software you have on your computer in order to import the photos. However, you are right in that when you synchronize a new computer, or different, you will overwrite the contents of the iPad with the content from the iTunes library on this computer.

I hope it will be useful.

Import photos and videos from your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch to your computer - Apple Support

Before you import the pictures, if you use another computer running iTunes, turn off auto sync first so that the iPad will not be synchronized and iTunes doesn't open when you connect the device. Without being connected to the iPad, start iTunes. Go in Edition > Preferences > devices > prevent the automatic sync of iPods, iPhones and iPads. Click OK. Quit iTunes.

Now you can connect the iPad to the computer to import the photos.

  • Content Viewer: only iPad watch content html5

Hello! I joined a reader audio html5 in InDesign Cs6. It works fine on the viewer of content on the iPad, but not on the desktop Content viewer. Is it always like that?

The Office content viewer is based on Android Viewer, so there are differences between him and the viewer of the ipad. Playback of HTML5 content is highly dependent on the platform you are targeting, because it uses the rendering engine for the web of the underlying device.

  • The ipad pro supports multiple monitors with different content on each screen?

I want to replace my laptop with an ipad pro.  Currently I drive three screens with my laptop, all with different content (VGA, HDMI, laptop screen) with no additional adapters.  The Ipad pro has a video card that will allow me to run multiple monitors (3 including the pro) with different content on each monitor?

Given that the pro iPad running iOS and iOS do not supports multiple monitors, I would say no. I may be wrong, so feel free to correct me.

  • How to test and develop the HTML/Backbone of content viewer on IPad?

    Hello

I was responsible for developing and modifying the custom HTML/Backbone of content viewer as well detailed and explained by Derek Lu here:

    https://www.Adobe.com/devnet/digitalpublishingsuite/articles/html-default-library.html#

I can see that by removing the reference to libs/AdobeLibraryAPI.js index.html I am able to 'test' on the desktop.

    <!--

    The DPS library/store API.

Understand it below should be placed in the comments during the test on the desktop.

    < script src = "libs/AdobeLibraryAPI.js" > < / script >->

and that the data are bought in XML via the respect and the parse method is called Librarycollection.

I made the changes to hang the Viewer to bring in some of the folios we develop.

However, even if it means to test and develop on the desktop in a form since we use JS and spine, there several checks in the code provided to see if ADOBE.isAPIAvailable.

If this is the case, then the behavior is different than on the desktop, so once the Viewer is packed to the top and put it on the IPad there is a disparity between what you were able to check and test on the desktop version against which is shown on the IPad.

So the question is... is there a quick way to develop and test on the Ipad... it does not seem a viable option to develop blindly on the desktop and then package the content in Adobe DPS Viewer to check the behavior of these changes on the IPad?

To reiterate the Viewer is to make use of the spine / js example to provide greater functionality and customization options.

    Thank you in advance.

    Dave

You can debug remotely using Safari Office. Installation instructions are here a debugging library or a custom storefront iOS | Adobe Developer Connection. When you are debugging on the device you should also load your JS and CSS files remotely. Use SHIFT + CMD + R to reload the files from the web Inspector, ignoring the cache.

  • Restore the iPad App via Time Machine?

Let's see if I can explain it clearly without writing a novel...

We used iBank on a series of iPads in Quicken replacement.  iBank was wonderful.

A few days ago, we decided to accept the upgrade to the new version of the App.  The upgrade has changed the name of the application of Banktivity 5.0.3.

After the update the app is more responsible, is back with ' an error occurred during the migration of permanent storage' and when we hit OK you get the spinning wheel of death, eternally.  Fearing yet another Apple HW question I made the mistake to immediately an iPad manual backup because I did not know when the last of them automatic was and I didn't lose anything else on the iPad.

The iPad is running 9.3.1 model number MD516LL/a H/W.

We have iTunes to save 'automatically' iPad 'to this computer.  We do not use the cloud.

I had an exchange of mail with the support of the IGG, but when we walked in the restoration of a previous automatic backup on the iPad, they were out of their depth.  I have no complaint with their support, they do not know where are stored the backups or how to proceed.

So, that's where it gets interesting/frustrating.

I try to use Time Machine to restore the App from a previous version in iTunes and then sync to iPad.

I do not see the backup files to iPad specific laptop I use for backup "automatic" iTunes "to this computer.  I see the list of applications on the iPad iTunes in the ' users > Shared > iTunes > directory of Mobile Applications.  I'm going back in time in Time Machine to find the last backup the previous version of iBank has or Banktivity iTunes before 5.0.3... in the hopes of restoring just that specific app and data...

... Previous Time Machine backups have iBank or Banktivity listed in the applications!  I have looked far and sought to my heart's content, but none are here.  All other applications will appear in the list, but not iBank or Banktivity.  Now, I'm stumped... Why would not appear anywhere in the last backups?

Having lost all historical and current in the iBank data are a pretty big disaster if I don't want to take the risk of ruining more by doing a partial or full restore iPad without understanding why the previous of iBank versions and/or Banktivity do not appear in the lists before the last manual of Time Machine backup?

The iPad is an ideas, thoughts or suggestions would be most appreciated.

Real applications are not stored in the backup (which contains the content of applications, your settings, documents, photos etc), restoration (backups are stored in ~/Library/Application Support/MobileSync/Backup/on a Mac, a backup is not designed to be readable by the user) would look to pick up the application of the section My Apps from your iTunes library - so looking for a old backup iPad in Time Machine won't help your find the app.

As to why the app does not appear in your Time Machine backup of your folder "Mobile Applications", looking for the correct name of the application (the name that shows in your iTunes Apps my chapter cannot be the same as the file real .ipa computer/time Machine; some of my friends have very different names)?

  • How long will last the iPad 2?

How do you know when your iPad is on its way?  It's the iPad 2, using the latest OS 9.2.1.  It is slow to respond and sometimes manifests 2-3 faucets to open an application.  Also the touch screen feature takes sometimes many faucets before he answers.  Restart does not help.

Many users here still have a lot of success with their models of iPad 2 running the latest iOS. It is almost impossible to say with certainty how long a device will last, especially without knowing all the details on how you use every day. I start with really basic troubleshooting steps and see if that helps performance.

Here are a few basics to try that could help.

Go to settings > Safari > clear the history and data from the Web site

Close all applications. Press the Home button twice quickly. You will see small glimpses of your applications recently used. Drag to the left to find the application you want to close. Swipe up on the preview of the application to close.

Force reboot the device. No data is affected by this. To force the reboot your device, press and hold the two buttons of sleep/wake and home for at least ten seconds, until you see the Apple logo.

Another thing that can help is to reset all settings. Try this. You won't lose any data, but most of the settings of the device will have to be entered again in the settings app. Settings > general > reset > reset all settings.

If all else fails, restore the iOS software. Backup your iPad before you restore, and then restore the backup when you are finished. If this doesn't always help, restore your iPad like new and all over again. Most bought content can be downloaded again free of charge as long as you use the same ID Apple and as long as the content is always available in the store.

  • Movie rentals are not displayed on the iPad

After download. They do not appear in the recent purchases in iTunes, but appear as purchased under account information

If you rent them directly on your iPad, then they must download and show in her videos app - is one where you're looking for them?

Rentals are a download-only single, they will download on the computer/device that you hire, if you rent them on an iOS device, they can only be viewed on this device; If you rent them on iTunes from the computer, you can connect and "move" (similar to how you synchronize the content) of the computer to a device.

Other charging complete the iPad 2 air, other suggestions/advice so I do not encounter bugs or what?

If it is not paired with an Apple Watch and you want not any content, then you should start at step 3 and log on to your iCloud account on this topic (assuming that you're connected) - If you have settings > iCloud > find my iPad active on it, then you have to activate lock 'on', just the iPad to factory settings reset wouldn't remove your iCloud account He would have need of your id and password to reactivate

If it has associated with your account, you must also remove it of him: view and delete associated devices in iTunes - Apple Support

And if it is registered on your account, you should delete (assuming that your aunt will want to save on his own account): https://supportprofile.apple.com/
