  • Satellite L350-235 a restore disk runs on a brand new HARD drive?

    Hello

My hard drive is dead (completely) 3 days out of warranty.
Recovery discs has not yet loaded, all I had was a black screen and a mouse pointer.

So I bought a new hard drive. Problem I have now is how to install Windows on a new drive.
    What should I get Toshiba?

I obviously paid for Windows Vista, when I bought the laptop, so I'm a little confused on what to do next.
A restore disk will work on a whole new drive?

    Thanks in advance

    Hello

Didn t drive recovery does not happen with the laptop because you had an option to create one using the preinstalled Toshiba recovery disc creator.

You now have this disc which can be ordered here:
    https://backupmedia.Toshiba.EU/landing.aspx

Boot from that disk and follow the instructions on the screen.
The recovery disk works also with the new HARD drive!

  • Satellite L350-235 permanently connection / disconnection of the internet

I have a good wireless signal and I am connected to the internet, but I can only access the web pages for a few minutes or more before I get error messages.

My four fellow are able to connect to the internet through the same router, and it's only on my account original (I have set up two user accounts) that happens.

This happens when I have the Ethernet cable and the wireless on my laptop, and I've tried it in other places, so I know that the problem is caused by my laptop. I am also able to access the internet on the safe mode.

What is wrong and how do I sort?

    Thank you very much

    Hello

Maybe you need to update the driver LAN and WLAN from your laptop. Have you ever done this?

If you have installed an antivirus or a firewall, disable them and test it again. Maybe it s blocking of the Internet connection.

And what operating system you are using?

  • Re: My Satellite L350 does not recognize USB key

I have a Toshiba Satellite L350-235. It suddenly stopped recognizing my usb key that I use every day. Normally, he would say "new hardware found" and allow me to click on the F drive, now I get nothing!

    Can someone advise me?

I guess that the USB ports are working properly if you connect another device; something like USB mouse. Right?

In my opinion, you should test the USB in USB ports.
You can also try to remove the USB controllers and hubs from the Device Manager list.
After restarting of new laptop, (ports) USB controllers must be recognized, and then you could connect and test the USB again.

In the event that the USB is not recognized by one of the available USB ports, try to connect to another USB key.

  • Re: Satellite L350-170 - cannot use cloned recovery partition

I have a laptop of s Satellite L350, one friend that I tried to fix it, but the HARD drive is faulty, so bad, that I can't create the restore disks. I cloned the image to another HARD disk partition (Yes, I created 2 partitions) which is a western digital, for some reason any when you press F8, I can't in the restore option, but I can't the disk faulty, is - because you use a Toshiba HDD only?

    Thanks in advance

    Chris

    Hello Chris

It has nothing to do with Toshiba HDD. This option works when the laptop is preinstalled with original recovery image. This with cloned partition will not work and recovery of HARD drive option will not appear in the advanced boot options.

Only when you install Recovery on this new HARD drive image, going to market.

One last thing: this old L350 works fine with Win7 32 bit so if possible install instead of using original Vista.

  • Satellite L350-14F - Vista cannot start the Realtek RTL8101e WLAN

    Dear readers

I'm Dutch, if my English is not very good, so my apologies for that but I have a big problem.

My Toshiba Satellite L350-14F with Realtek RTL8101E family PCI-E fast ethernet NIC (NDIC6.0 with Vista OS) cannot establish a connection with the outside world...
I tried many drivers, but all do not work... I can't find any other driver. So I guess there must be something else on the computer...

I reinstalled my computer while going to format all my hard drive and I have no CD of drivers for the laptop.
When I got a _wired_ connection, Vista can try solve the problem itself. He found a driver and then I am redirected to a site of toshiba... Where to download a driver from East. I start the download and installation, but then the installation says that I don't have a correct serial number...

All this me freaks out there... who can help me please?

    Greetings

PS: I checked my BIOS for strange things and one thing caught my attention on
I have an option: Wake On LAN anti-piracy. And it is disabled
BUT I can't change it to activate.

    Hello

First of all, it would be interesting to know what you mean without link with the outside world
The wireless network card is recognized correctly in the device (without yellow exclamation points) Manager?
The router is visible on your computer?

First of all, you must make sure that you use the latest WLAN driver on Toshiba website:
http://EU.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com-online downloads support & -online Download Driver

Additionally, make sure that you have installed the latest version of BIOS that you can find on the site of Toshiba, too.

You should check the WLAN Setup on your laptop and the router. Make sure you that you have disabled Vista of WLAN power save function. You can find this option in Vista Power Management.
Make sure that you use the same standard WLAN on your laptop as on the router, for example, 802. 11B or 802. 11 g.
Last but not least you must update the firmware on your router. You can find it on the site of the factory. After the firmware update unplug the router for 5 minutes of the AC adapter.

    Good luck!

PS: Wake on Wireless LAN has nothing to do with this issue. It of a feature that you can boot the laptop via a WLAN connection.

  • Impossible to use the Satellite L350 recovery disk

I bought the recovery disc for my Satellite L350-370 followed instructions beginning now stopped program to "waiting for odd vacancies" moment for this strange worked perfectly.

Laptop only if off now and no keys work.

    Help!

I really don't understand what is happening here. I used the disc of recovery many times and I've never seen this message.
By default the BIOS settings and restart your laptop. When the laptop starts up and you see Toshiba welcome screen press F12 repeatedly to enter the boot menu. When the start menu is shown on the screen, place the recovery in the optical disc drive disk. After doing this choose the CD/DVD drive and press ENTER. What happens when you do this?

ODD must begin to read the recovery disk and you should see recovery on the screen menu.

  • Recovery disks does not not for the Satellite L350

    I have a Toshiba Satellite L350, I bought a few years ago

Originally it was a laptop Vista Home premium and I opted for the Toshiba windows 7 upgrade and its been pretty much without problem.

But recently something went a bit weird and things were not only works well (he would not always disconnect you and never seemed to stop correctly) and various other applications does not work properly.

After a few uninstalls, reinstall, scans and patches from Microsoft has done nothing that I decided to take the plunge and use the recovery disc.

I bought a Toshiba when I am the machine initially and had made one myself, before you upgrade windows 7 and a new after.
I still have the windows 7 upgrade DVD so I can apply after if I had to start back on vista.

The only other big change has had an upgrade of RAM 4 GB - I still the original of the RAM, if I need it, but before that there is no hardware problem not reported and chkdsk was also very good.
So for me it was the o/s that was the problem.

I tried now all recovery discs and they all have the same problem of reports that imagex cannot decompress the second frame of the file because it is corrupted to block 90 I n t have this real message at your fingertips
    but can be updated later.

I can t see that I m something wrong, like everything I do is to put the dvd in the drive and reboot the laptop with the F12 key to boot from the recovery DVD and follow the screen controls on.
You use reports from such that previously or I am doing something stupid?

    Thank you

It's very strange that al recovery discs show the same error message. As far as I know when you start recovery image installation that the HARD drive will be formatted, new partitions created, recovery image copied to the second partition of HARD drive and as the last step is the installation of recovery image.
    > I bought a Toshiba when I am the machine initially and had made one myself before the upgrade to windows 7...
Have you tested the two of them in the past?

In General, all you do is right. In my opinion, the problem may be recovery image itself or perhaps HDD has some defect in certain areas.
If you can get the second HARD drive somewhere Exchange it, value default BIOS settings and test the installation of recovery again.

  • Cannot restore to factory of the Satellite L350

    Hello

I was having problems with Vista so a friend recommended that I tried ubuntu.

But now I want to go back to vista, but I can't get my laptop to run restore.
I tried now pressed 0 while turn also by pressing f8 but it always starts just as usual.

The Toshiba recovery disc creator isn't on my computer either. I do not have the disks of Vista, but if I remember correctly that my laptop never came with them, I am really stuck on what to do.

    Satellite L350

    Hey,.

I'm a little confused about your ad Mr. you wrote that you tried Ubuntu but you have installed Ubuntu and Vista deleted or was it just a live Ubuntu disc?

The Toshiba HDD Recovery feature is described here:
    http://APS2.toshiba-tro.de/KB0/HTD9102IR0000R01.htm

But something more: the HDD recovery works only with the version preinstalled Windows from Toshiba, so if you have installed another OS or an upgrade, this option doesn't work anymore.

And you're right: the laptop doesn t come with Toshiba Recovery disk because you must create this disk you use Toshiba recovery media creator which is preinstalled. This tool will create a boot disk with a picture of settings which can be restored each time unlike HARD drive recovery which works only with the original installed OS.

To cut a long story short, just ordered a Toshiba Recovery disk and install it. Then you have the back factory settings :)

  • Satellite L350 - 16L system restarts when you run with power cord plugged

    Satellite L350 - 16L
    32 bit windows 7 ultimate sp1

Power cable is connected, start the start, and just at the point where desktop should appear, the system restarts.
When the system is running on battery, everything works fine.
When the system boots to battery, works very well, and if I plug in the power cable, the system hangs
When the power cable is plugged in, battery charge normally.

I tried the different power cable, same thing.

Do you remember when this issue began to appear?
It would be interesting to know if something special that has happened in the past
You use the original Toshiba AC adapter that came with this laptop?

I think that this problem occurs due to the problem of the motherboard and I imagine that there could be some electronic problem power if the AC isn't affected adapter.

I think it would be the worst case, because it means that your motherboard must be replaced to solve this problem... motherbaord replacement is very expensive and, probably, it is not worth to fix...

By the way: is it possible to reinstall the system, while the laptop is conencted to the power adapter? What happens if enter you BIOS mode?
