control of DC motor speed with a controllable power

I'm looking for a way to control a "toudeft PL330P Thurlby" controllable power in labview. My knowledge of labview is very little and I'm sure that's probably not so difficult. I need to be able to vary the tension passes to food so that I can control my motor speed continuous.
I plugged the power supply via a GPIB interface cable. (OR-488. 2) and I'm using LabView 8.5.

Dose anyone know how I would go all this? Or could provide useful examples.

Thank you.

James.

Get the driver LabVIEW using ' help > find Instrument drivers... ". "or here: http://sine.ni.com/apps/utf8/niid_web_display.download_page?p_id_guid=E3B19B3E97F2659CE034080020E748... "

I didn't load them, but usually there are a few simple screws to send commands to your hardware.  ALWAYS look for drivers of instruments for the new hardware.  It allows you to save a lot of tedious work if they are available.

  • Control external synth MIDI via USB keyboard controller

    Friends,

I'm trying to get a Novation Launchkey 25 to work as an external controller for mother-32 MOOG synthesizer.

    Software - Logic Pro 9

USB - LaunchKey 25 Novation keyboard controller

    Interface - Focusrite Scarlett 18I6

MacBook pro with current operating system

Currently I have the out of the Focusrite and towards the MOOG MIDI cable. The Launchkey is connected via USB on my Mac. Logic can see the keyboard and interface, but not the MOOG. I just want to control the MOOG mother 32 with the keys. I am at a loss on how to implement the logic. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you

    Steve

1 MIDI OUT of the Focusrite at noon on the MOOG.

    2. create an external MIDI track with the release (in the Inspector) on the MIDI OUTPUT Focusrite. Also assign the desired MIDI (or ALL) channel. Better, the use of the channel the MOOG is set up to receive on.

3 connect the headphones to the MOOG, to see if it is audio output. To get the audio MOOG through logic, you should run the audio Moog in the Scarlett outputs, create an Audio track, the value of channel inputs inputs use the MOOG, the value Preferences / Audio monitoring software allowed to logic. Allow recording the audio track. You can select two tracks (Audio and MIDI external) using shift/select, if necessary. Audio will come from Scarlett.

  • Fail to communicate with the controller of pump ISCO D series

    Hey everybody,

I have an ISCO D pumps controller (which is connected to a syringe model 100DX ISCO pump) series I want to control using RS232 on Labview. I don't have their LabView Toolkit that Teledyne has mentioned in their technical Bulletin (TB06). In addition, I would like to automate my test, so using the Labview Toolkit will be not too useful.

The problem I face is not being able to communicate with the controller via hyperterminal or LabVIEW.

I ran their (mentioned in TB06) integrated series test and communicate as expected. I also tried to run their program remote pump (mentioned in technical Bulletin 19 of Teledyne - TB19) which seems to do what is expected as well.

I tried to talk about using LabVIEW first using the vi that I joined, and I saw nothing on the buffer. So, I moved to hyperterminal.

But when I try to send the command 'remote' listed in TB19, it doesn't seem to do anything. There is no answer on the hyperterminal.

There is mention of a DASNET Protocol, and I found the .dll file that I also moved in my Windows System 32 folder. It did not work even after that too.

I have attached TB06 and TB19. Let me know if you have other ideas how to do to test it.

Please let me know if you need further information.

    Thank you

    Hey everybody,

After going through their best manual, I found the way to correctly send a frame. The manual at, www.isco.com/pcfiles/PartPDF/SL000004/UP00194U.pdf, section 7 specifically, it is intended.

For the purposes of anyone who stumbles across this thread, here's an example.

    If you have your.

Destination (the pump regulator) ID = 1

the source of the (computer) message = 00

and you try to send the message to DISTANCE that would turn the controller in "REMOTE" mode

Then you would send '1R006REMOTE1B', where 1 is the ID of destination
R is right to recognize the previous received message

00 is the ID of the computer

    6 length of command

"REMOTE" the command itself, must be uppercase

Checksum 1 b (which changes with the command of course)

And you can do the same thing in LabVIEW, you can enter '1R006REMOTE1B' in the VISA write while keeping everything else the same as the snapshot of the vi I sent previously.

Dennis, actually do not have the CD itself, but I assumed, would nothing more than an executable since I downloaded the demo driver for LabVIEW (http://www.isco.com/products/appnotes.asp?PL=105 under utilities) pump. I am currently trying to locate the CD here at the lab, and I will update this thread if I find something useful.

I guess that my problem has been resolved.

Thanks for your input in this Dennis.

    Kind regards

  • A measure of speed high speed with encoder in quadrature and NI 9401 on cDaq

    Greetings,

We use an encoder in quadrature with 360 pulses/turn on the tracks (track A and B) and no trace of Z to measure motor speed at startup. Data acquisition, we use a NI 9401 in 9178 cDaq chassis and a pc with LabVIEW. The problem is that the start-up period is relatively short (less than 1 second), during which we measure speed as precisely as possible. The speed range is from 0 to 10000 RPM.

What type of measurement method that you would recommend.

Here are a few methods that we have already tried:

-Measure with DAQmx CIFreq--> high frequency with 2 counters: speed measurement, but with a very big mistake (+ 166 RPM).

-CIFreq DAQmx--> wide range with 2 counters: good speed data but more slow measurement,

-CICntEdges DAQmx (counting separated the two lanes, speed conversion): very incoherent speed data.

Thanks in advance for your help.

    Matej

I would definitely say a 4, the measure of a low freq called option with 1 meter.  (Frankly, I've never been

fond of this name because it is useful for freqs much higher than what I expect most people think "low freq".)   This

is the method that I almost * always * use for frequency of counter measures.  It works really well to capture transitional

    variations in speed.

10000 rpm and 360 cycles/rev, you are looking at a maximum frequency of 60 kHz.  The frequency measurement mode 1 meter

There will be 80 MHz internal clock by encoder cycle edges, then you will get more than 1000 strokes per measure.  The point

that means only 1 number of quantization errors, you can expect<>

Further, you can average overall, say, 10 samples to you give even better accuracy and you could still be a data capture

rate significantly higher than the probable bandwidth of your mechanical system.  (The average would just clean the jitter and noise and would not

    Hide answer true mechanical characteristics).

I got the last Apple TV since Christmas, and lately, it seems that I might have a problem with the controller of Siri. When you place your finger to use the contact surface, for that one click-much like the glass mini is not defined in law if that makes sense.

Does not really affect the operation but is off-putting. If you want to just to click and press down, basically click twice on it records only one. • Can satellite A500-17 X - I get full speed with router Linksys WRT120N WLan?

I want to buy a "Linksys WRT120N" for my A500 - 17 X wireless router, and my question is can I get full speed with this router as 100 Mbps or more.
I don't have as much knowledge on wireless routers and that is why I ask.

    And the other question is:
This router will give me good signal in my apartment of 60 m 2 from one room to another?

    Hello

I think your question should be posted in the forum of the manufacturer of the router and not here in the forum of Toshiba.

Anyway. It seems that the Wlan WRT120N router is certified for
    IEEE 802.3, IEEE 802.3u, IEEE 802. 11 b, IEEE 802. 11 g, Wi - Fi CERTIFIED, IEEE 802.11n (draft 2.0)

As you can see the supported WiFi standards: 802.11 B, G and N

For your laptop s Wlan card supports Draft N, you should be able to connect to 802.11 N.

    Hello Bob and Česlav,

I think Česlav was looking for / ask something different. (please tell me if I'm wrong)

He really wants to do its PXI RT "look-uppable" via its corporate network without necessarily be on the same subnet (and use the IP address).

In light of the additional information you (Česlav) provide that I would say again that you contact your IT Department first to see how they prefer it.

They will generally the method of choice to do this. (both for desktop computers with respect to other devices)

Sometimes it comes down to add to "add your host name and IP address to a list of DNS.

The page that you link to is a specific way of Windows, adding yourself to a domain.

Note that add you to a domain should provide you with the ability to use host names.

However, he also did other things, which may not be possible or even allowed for other types of devices.

In most companies you don't even have your desktop admin rights necessary to add your own pc (following this way) to the area, as it may cause a lot of security issues and risks.

Because I don't really know what the establishment IT is by your side I can't really (with certainty) comment on what you should be able to do (and is not).

After 4 TEC, I was able to update Windows 10.  Now the report of compatibility for my computer says that my hard disk controller is not compatible with Windows 10.  I have Windows 7 and its been running pretty well with some minor problems.  When I go to search for drivers or windows updates, it seems to continue indefinitely and do nothing.  Not sure if that has anything to do with the controller, but I thought I would include this information.

The latest technology suggested that I go to my local IT guy... funny, considering it's my computer at home.  What are my options?  Or someone has an idea how I could get the controller fixed my own?  Or should I consider 10 Windows a lost cause and wait until I get a new computer?  Thank you!

  • Computer has a black screen with a message "power off, then reinstall the jumper in normal mode position."

    Original title: black screen?

My computer has a black screen with: turn off power and reinstall the jumper in normal mode position? Help!

    Hi Miguel C.

    a. What is the brand of your computer?

    b. do you remember of any changes to your machine before the question?

I don't know what motherboard you have, but some is shipped with the 'Clear CMOS' jumper in the position unequivocally. Check the manual of your motherboard for this rider and make sure that it is in the normal position.

J7B1 computer configuration jumper block requires a single rider set the configuration of the BIOS Setup utility. This allows the configuration in the configuration utility BIOS, including the frequency of bus and the processor motherboard speed.

Note: Do not move this jumper with the computer turned on.

    Warning of the BIOS:
BIOS change / semiconductor (CMOS) to complementary metal oxide settings can cause serious problems that may prevent your computer from starting properly. Microsoft cannot guarantee that problems resulting from the configuration of the BIOS/CMOS settings can be solved. Changes to settings are at your own risk.

I think, you'd be best to contact the manufacturer of the motherboard as this seems to be a motherboard problem.

  • Bad rotation with Newport PR50PP Platinum rotation controlled by SMC100PP motor controller - is that a communication or a hardware problem?

    Hello world

It is a long shot, but I can explain my problem and I hope that someone has seen this problem before.

    PROBLEM:

I use a rotation of Newport PR50PP turntable that is controlled by a motorcontroller SMC100PP through LabVIEW. In my experience, I shoot the scene 180 degrees to the right in increments of 36 and then turn to "zero" counterclockwise. This "zero" point must be the same 'zero', I started to leave before the rotation. The problem is that it is off by nearly a whole degree. I need to always start in the same place.

The big problem - computer / Platinum rotation it's originally 'zero '. I record the unit of internal rotation of the scene after each movement and he tells me it's the same 0.00 that began.

Q: is this a problem of communication between LabVIEW and the PR50PP or a mechanical problem?

    OTHER NOTES:

    • The change of rotation is repetitive and linear. I repeated more than 15 times and got about the same offset.
    • How I discovered this problem - I have a half plate on the rotation stage and looked between cross polarizers. I recorded the Cos ^ 2 model of intensity of each scan. Each pattern is rotated to the front even if the computer reports that they should be at the same position.
    • I'm under LabVIEW 2011 and by using the controls provided by Newport SMC. They communicate via USB of series.
    • Joined a technical description of the problem that my labmate written upward.

    Any idea is appreciated.

    ~ Liz Cloos

    Hello world

After running additional tests, I discovered that it is NOT a problem of LabVIEW. The plate wave inside the rotation of PR50PP plate was a little loose and gave the appearance that the zero is changing. The ribbed plate kept turning slightly after each change of direction.

    Thanks for trying to help.

  • Control of Stepper Motor with case NI USB-6009

    Hi all

I am currently creating a movement control system with a double movement actuator

    http://www.haydonkerk.com/LinearActuatorProducts/StepperMotorLinearActuators/DualMotionLinearActuato...

and two bipolar chopper drives (see table), which should power the motor. We already have a NI USB 6009 in our lab, so I was wondering if I could use it to send signals to the two pilots to control the speed and direction of each axis on the engine?

Enclosed driver's manual indicates that input signals should be 0-5 V DC (TTL logic). I have been informed by the engine distributor that the 0-5 V DC TTL drivers required, the signals are analog. The NI USB-6009 manual reading, there are two 0-5 V analog outputs on the acquisition of data usb so I could provide two signals?

There are often posted however similar problems, it is usually a digital signal NI6009/6009 sends the driver. Looking at the driver's manual, can someone tell if an analogue signals or required as I have said, I was misinformed or 0-5 v DC signal will be enough. I can get more in touch with the dealer if you have any questions you guys think I should ask him.

Thanks in advance for any help! It is much appreciated.

I looked in the manual and it doesn't seem to be very clear. I know that the USB-6009 case is capable of AO and DO, then you would be although it is. I could contact the Haydon Kerk support for more concrete details on the gap between what says the manual and what they told you.
