    Hello

I'm looking for some someboby with experiences with the fw102 filterwheel of thorlabs (or something close).

I just started with labview. I want to create a sequence for the filterwheel, so that the weel change of position after a defined period and all the filters are passed through.

the problem is, that there are different sub-vis, but I don't know which to use. they are called "fw102x arrive in time", "get off time", "get time", "set time," "set off time" or "set the reading interval.

    Help, please!

    Thank you!!!

  • Control of Bruker OPUS with Labview

I want to control software OPUS by Bruker using Labview, orders base such as take spectra, someone knows how to do this?

    Thank you

This process is relatively in line forward, because OPUS is a compatible ActiveX program, with a wide range of dll to run any process you want. Simply insert a refnum of automation on the front panel of your VI. Right-click right the l' icone icon arrow, scroll down to select the class of ActiveX and browse the DLLs that you have on your PC. You will want to choose OPUSCMD XX version, depending on the version of OPUS you. You have now free rein on what processes you want to order via Invoke and property nodes in the control of the Application on the block diagram.

It's pretty simple from there, and the sky is the limit according to the level of complexity you want to get with your FTIR automation. If you are familiar with Visual Basic, you can write a file of experience (XPM) file that can do anything (collect samples, analysis, background, AS, you name it). I've attached a screenshot of the block diagram of a program that I've implemented that starts a VB Macro to collect a background spectrum at 1 cm-1 resolution. As I said, the sky is the limit. Good luck.

  • With LabVIEW how to control an instrument with a RS232 output, using a USB RS232 converter cable.

With LabVIEW how to control an instrument with a RS232 output, using a USB RS232 converter cable, since I do not have rs232 ports. I have two instruments I want for the control in this way. One is a guarantee of strength Imada SPAS with RS232 output. The other is a micrometer Panasonic HL-G103-S-J laser sensor which is RS422. I have done significant programming LabVIEW using GPIB, but I have no experience with devices such as these. No matter what tutorial or examples would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you.

When you plug the USB-RS-232 converter, it installs a driver under Windows which makes it look like any other RS-232 port.  You may need to install the driver of everything that came on the CD with the converter.  It will get a Com as Com5 port number according to what is the next available number.

  • Possible GPIB communication through interactive control of Visa, not with Labview

    Hello

I have a communication problem with Labview with GPIB instruments (with functions of visa).

    I get:

"Error 1073807298 occurred at the VISA opening

    Possible reasons:

"VISA: (Hex 0xBFFF003E) failed to perform operation due to i/o error."

However, it works with an interactive control visa and this is where I am confused!

    Here is my setup:

    -Labview 2011 assessment

    -VISA 5.1.2

KUSB - 488B with the associated drivers (adapter USB to GPIB of Keithley)

Because I can speak with my instruments in visaic, I guess the installation of drivers for the Keithley interface is ok.

Trace IO NOR I see beeing of commands passed through Labview to VISA so that they "see" between them.

I found a thread where someone had the same problem and its solution was downgrade to Labview 8.5.1, which is not possible for me.

    http://forums.NI.com/T5/instrument-control-GPIB-serial/Keithley-2700-driver-problems/TD-p/1474212/PA...

You have an idea to solve this problem?

    Kind regards

    Baptist

    Here's a follow-up on this issue.

I tried with Labview 32-bit on main machine: it works.

The pleasure is that I have to use Labview 64-bit.

So the ultimate solution is now to run a client and a server of visa on the machine: Labview 32 bit can directly access my resources GPIB, Labview 64-bit must go through the closure of the network.

  • control of Instruments of California 3091LD load Programmable with LabVIEW

I need to check a California Instruments programmable load 3091LD with LabVIEW. It will be connected with GPIB. Can anyone provide me with the help on this please? It will be very appreciated if someone could give some example for the device codes.

    Thank you.

    Hello Niyam,

I found directly a driver for LabVIEW Instrument for this specific instrument, but there are some other devices of California Instruments for:

    http://search.NI.com/nisearch/app/main/p/bot/no/AP/tech/lang/NL/PG/1/SN/ssnav:IDR/q/California%20ins...

Beside that, I also found this page on their Web site:

    http://www.acdcelectronicloads.com/products/3091LD/3091LD_Downloads.htm

Here, they do not mention a LabVIEW driver, but they have a driver of the CVI.

Do you find yourself however the manual there, which may be useful to evry.

Can you check with the manufacturer (California Instruments) if they have a Driver of Instrument LabVIEW?

Beside that, it would also be a good idea (totally) go through this tutorial of LabVIEW:
    http://www.NI.com/gettingstarted/labviewbasics/

This should teach you a few basics in LabVIEW.

  • Control Matsusada DC power supply with IVI

I need to be able to control 3 Matsusada REK series power supplies DC using Labview. I don't have the equipment yet, so I'm using a simulation to test my code. It seems to work with the simulation, but I would like to know if there are obvious problems with my code, because it's my first experience with Labview. I would like to be able to transform the output of each provision on outside, set the voltage and current limits and set the voltage. I would like to know if my program is on the right track or completely false. Thank you!

You should have the controls and indicators inside the event that is raised.

  • I want to simulate linear incremental encoder to Labview FPGA

    Hi all

I use the card to FPGA OR 7851-R to simulate incremental linear encoder. I want to generate the impetus A and B of the map to simulate the features of linear incremental encoder according to the distance.

I don't know how to do so please help me for the same thing.

Have you tried to write any code yet? Why not start by generating just the channel has? It is a question of turning a digital channel on and off at regular intervals - a PWM with duty cycle of 50%. I think you can find examples of generation PWM is included with LabVIEW or on this forum. Then, to generate channel B, you must enter the code, but with the starting point offset by 1/4 of the period. Once it works, simply limit the number of periods of release based on the "journey".

Look through the examples, write code and see how far you can get. When you get stuck, view the code that you have written on this subject and explain the problem.

  • HAVE ENGINE-701 mega order of Robotics with LabVIEW

Hi, I am asking someone here had any experience working with the I-701 ENGINE?

I'm new to programming, I am currenty working on the conversion of a C program header to control the engine mentioned above in LabVIEW and I met some problem. See the engine, according to the C program, receive the hexadecimal code for control.

I translated part of the C program (only the function Rotate and SendOperaCommand, the SendOperCommand is a Subvi in the VI. According to my supervisor the rest are not required to be converted) in a LabVIEW vi. with the same order, sends the same hexadecimal codes however the engine does not respond. The original program in C and LabVIEW version that I've converted are attached to this post.

Can someone watch the program and let me know if I made an error converting the program or perhaps the rest of the program is necessary to convert or maybe it's something that I don't know?

You must use the VISA functions rather than obsolete functions serial port you have in it.

In addition, there many Rube Goldberg constructions working with bytes.  Points of constraint because of the incorrect data type.  Your Subvi is not present, but just seems to take two bytes, adding the header and the checksum.  But without it, I can't tell if it's doing what it's supposed to, because all your code before which is the conversion of hexadecimal strings, rather than working directly with the bytes.  In addition, the Boolean functions work directly on numeric values.  No need to convert Boolean and back dies.

The attached extract should be the same as your C code did (I have no way to test it), but with much less code.
