Control Panel malfunction of Windows 7

Hello, community.  I hope someone can help!

When I click on "Devices and printers" in the Control Panel, it does nothing.  The Green highlight that is supposed to go through the bar does not appear.  The cursor gets stuck in hourglass mode.  I tried to solve this problem for about a month now.  The closest, I myself am was restoring the computer to an earlier time, which made me in "Devices and printers", but other things didn't work well, so I went back to later restore point.

Other things I tried (I learned of this community) not necessarily in this order:

1. entered into programs and features where I found the box 'Printing Services and Document.  The area was filled, indicating that a part of the feature is enabled.  I don't know if this is the problem, but if this is the case, I don't know how to fix it.

2. I opened the computer in Mode safe, and although I was able to access Panel-hardware and Sound-printers and devices, I could not solve the problem because the printer for PDF Suite 2014 function was not on in Safe Mode.  In normal mode, I uninstalled PDF Suite 2014 and checked to see if PDF had a glitch that impact on the function of the control panel but still no green bar.

3. I ran twice a SFC scan.  The first time the message read "Windows resource protection not found any breach of integrity.  The second time I ran it, I got the message "finds files corrupted and managed to fix it.  Details are provided in the CBS.log windir\logs\CBS\CBS.log, [i.e.] c:\windows\logs\CBS\CBS.log newspaper. »

4. I created a new user account to check that my profile was not corrupt.

5. do you have the Bluetooth Service set to automatic.

6. somewhere along the way, I did a printer who could not ID the problem of troubleshooting.

There are a few other things I've done but I do not remember what they are.  But if anyone can help, that would be great.

Thanks to all those who are 'tuned '!

    Exactly what virus was this?

Almost certainly you don't has completely failed to clean the
computer upward. Keep in mind the following three things:

    1. MalwareBytes anti-malware is an anti-spyware program and
    nothing to clean up viruses.

2 PC Tools antivirus is a bad choice of an anti-virus program. For
an antivirus program, I recommend eSet NOD32, if you're ready
to pay for it. If you want a free anti-virus, I recommend one (are not
run several) of the following three:

    Avira AntiVir
    Avast
    Microsoft Security Essentials

    3. in the course of the run Registry Mechanic has been a very bad thing to do and it can be
responsible for the problems that you are experiencing now. Cleaning the registry
the programs are all snake oil. The registry cleaning is not necessary
and is dangerous. Let alone register and do not use any registry
cleaner. Despite what many people think and what providers of registry
cleaning software try to convince you to have unused registry
entries is not really make you hurt.
The risk of a serious problem caused by a registry cleaner by mistake
delete an entry you need is much greater than any potential benefit
    It can have.

    and also
    http://blogs.technet.com/markrussinovich/Archive/2005/10/02/registry-junk-a-Windows-fact-of-life.aspx

Let me stress that neither me nor anyone else who warns the
use of registry cleaners never said that they always cause
problems. If they have always caused problems, they would disappear from
the market almost immediately. Many people have used a registry
cleaner and never had a problem with it.

The problem with a registry cleaner is that it carries with it
the risk of a significant problem. And since there is no
benefits of using a registry cleaner, running that risk is a very bad
    good deal.

  • No icon of Bluetooth device in the control panel of my Windows xp sp3

I can't install the bluetooth mobile phone because there is no Bluetooth device icon in the control panel. I use Windows xp sp3. Can someone tell me what I need to do?

    Hi naturalmente.

What is the number and the model of the device you are trying to connect?

Check the conditions below are true:

    1. If there are several Bluetooth devices connected to your computer, temporarily remove the devices you want to solve not. If there are other USB devices, try to remove all USB devices that you do not have to be installed during the troubleshooting process. If you have several devices that are connected using USB, this can interfere with a Bluetooth transmitter/receiver.

    2. check that the Bluetooth device that you want to solve is turned on and that it is enabled.

    3. check the status of the Bluetooth support service:

    a. to open the snap Microsoft Management Console (MMC) for Services in Windows XP, click Start, click Run, type services.msc and click OK.

    b. double-click the Bluetooth Support service.

    c. If the Bluetooth Support service is stopped, click Start.

    d. in the startup type list, click Automatic.

    e. click the log.

    f. click Local System account.

    g. click OK.

    h. If you are prompted to restart the computer, click Yes.

    4. search for the parameters below:

    a. right click on the Bluetooth in the notification area icon and then click on view the Bluetooth settings.

    b. on the Options tab, click to select the discovery of the Tower on the checkbox and then click on apply.

    c. to enable Bluetooth devices to connect to your computer, click to select allow them Bluetooth devices to connect to this computer check box and then click OK.

  • Cannot open the control panel and workstation - "Windows Explorer has stopped working"

Original title - I can't open my computer or control panel.

I try to open my computer or control panel so I can uninstall something I think that may have caused a problem. When I try to do so, a window opens saying "Windows Explorer has stopped working". I don't know what to do. I think it was some game, I installed recently which caused this.

Restart your computer in safe mode by pressing F8 just before windows logo appears after intervention by the bios. And see if you can open my computer or control for safe mode. If you then uninstall the program/game where you doubt. also run msconfig and remove startup programs that you do not use frequently and do not trust. Also if you have recently added a toolbar or of any custom theme and then disable it. then reboot in normal mode and see if the problem persists. It will be useful.

    Good luck!

Thanks for posting your question on the Microsoft community.

I would like to know some information about the problem so that we can help you better.

You made any hardware or software changes on your computer before the show?

Thank you for details on the issue.

This problem may occur because of damaged or missing Windows files.

I suggest you run the system file checker (SFC) and see if it helps.

  • "Windows Explorer has stopped working" if I open Control Panel

Guys, could someone help me please?

When I open the Control Panel, it says "Windows Explorer has stopped working" and then it restarts Windows Explorer. When I right click on any folder it says "recording of the UI language is not valid" 5 times and for a split second, it says "Corrupted registry" then it works. But I am unable to use the control panel.

I have Windows Vista home premium and Norton Antivirus.

    Can someone help me please?

    Hello

The error message says something about corrupt registry.
So, it seems that this issue would be related to incorrect or damaged registry entries.

If the registry is damaged, your operating system will not work as it should and can feel such or similar problems.

I m using the CCLeaner to clean the registry and other system files.
It s a free tool and you should try it.

If this does not work and if you notice the same question so I would recommend reinstalling the OS using the Toshiba recovery disc.
In most cases this will help you fix this registry
