Controls on tablets

I have worn successfully a Labview application on a windows-based Tablet, but the biggest problem I face is the size of the controls in the user interface. Some, like the buttons are without problems, but others, like the digital editing controls, are. I can make the font bigger (not really the problem), but I can't seem to change the size of the increment/decrement control to the left. As it is, it's too small to be operated with a finger. Drop-down list boxes and lists can also be a pain. Is there a way to make them bigger so that they are more tablet (finger) friendly?

Right-click on the control and select Advanced > customize. You can now click on the key on the toolbar to enter a mode where you can change individual items controls, including buttons. The help of LV should have more information about the customization of controls, and I also recommend looking at the UI interest group in the region of communities.

Everything I do in hearing can be quick access keys. I do not work with multitrack. A lot of cleaning of the dialog box.

Would love some dials to zoom / scroll / audio gain... all this is constant.

All the control surfaces that can be used with hearing are intended for mixing. Thus they consist mainly of a Bank of faders, buttons and touches of channel selection as well as the transport controls. They are not really a program of prophylaxis of the governed. I'm not sure exaclty when he started to malfunction.
I installed the 8.1 Windows a few months ago and had a problem with the card wireless at the beginning, but the problem with the touch screen just appeard this week.

What driver Toshiba control the touch screen?
Is it a hardware problem or software?

    Hello

To be honest there is no special driver to control the touch screen.
The driver is provided by the Windows System.

I think you should get the laptop back to factory settings but I fear that this will not solve the problem of Mr. smells like a hardware problem because I found some threads here in this forum about the dysfunction of the touch screen and especially the problem could be solved by service agents.

By the way: before you run the recovery process try to configure the stylus and touch screen.
Go to the control panel (Windows key + X-> Control Panel)-> Tablet PC setting.
The first display tab contains options such as configure screen stylus and touchscreen.
Here, you should be able to start the installation program and identify the touchscreen.
The first option must contain 1 internal LCD
At the bottom, you might find button to calibrate and reset the settings for the internal LCD.

  • Satellite U920T - when I slip on the touchpad no longer works

I use my u920t for almost 10 mount and I like that I can still use the touchscreen when the keyboard is out.

But a couple of days it has stopped working. I can't change anything.

Windows tells me now that the screen is not a touch screen.
Once I put the screen down and switch to Tablet mode, everything works fine.
Tablet PC setting in Control Panel also disappear once the keyboard is on...

I tried to reinstall the driver.
I also did a refresh of windows 8 (no backup, unfortunately)

    Any ideas?

    Thank you for your help.

    > Adjustment of tablet PCs in the Control Panel also disappear once the keyboard is on...
I guess it must be OK because the Tablet PC settings should only be available if the laptop is used in tablet mode

The point is that this laptop can be used in three different modes.
    (1) compressed mode-> the keyboard and touchpad are drawn in and touch screen can only be used
    (2) laptop mode-> the keyboard and touchpad are pulled
    (3) mode photography-> keyboard comes in the but the touchpad is out and can be used as well as the touch screen.

I m not very well if the orientation lock button (on the left) would affect the touch screen, but it turns out that the use of this automatic orientation of the screen rotation button can be enabled or disabled.
If you run the laptop or in photography mode, the orientation of the screen will always be in landscape mode.

Also check if the touch screen has been properly calibrated
Go to the control panel (win key + x Control Panel)-> Tablet PC settings

You will find the first tab called display
Click the Setup button to launch the Setup where you could point to the touch screen
In the substantive area called display display options you could calibrate the touch.

  • Portege M750 with Windows 7 - Screen Rotation button not working not properly

I installed new Windows 7 on a Portégé M750 and everything seems fine except the buttons on the screen to manage the features of the tablet. The only thing I really want to work is the orientation of the screen one. I looked for drivers, but can't find anything in order to control the tablet buttons. I read that for the M700 you need to download the driver for the Tablet because it contains the drivers for the buttons, but there is no driver for the M750.

All devices are ok in Device Manager with no need of drivers.

    Any thoughts/ideas/suggestions are welcome.

    Hello

The Toshiba Euroepan driver page offers two different packages with added value.
It is version 1.2.40 and the other is the 1.2.28_64 version - 2
    Check both!

Also, I searched published for other series of protected M780 and pilots found Package of Extension Tablet Win 7 32 bits and added value Package v 1.2.34

Maybe you should try the two series M750 software

  • Satellite C50T - A - 11 d - touch screen does not work

Searched - Microsoft and Toshiba drivers and find NOTHING - in fact in the box drivers from Device Manager - under Hid compatible touchscreen - I disabled and enabled it, tried to download the latest version of the driver - said this is the latest driver - but also said so there is no driver device associated with this device.

Small keyboard will appear next to the system tray, but nothing on the touch screen works somehow

Help please before I send this laptop pretty back!

    Hello

    > Sought - Microsoft and Toshiba drivers and find NOTHING - in fact in the box drivers from Device Manager - under touchscreen compatible Hid

There is no such thing as a special driver for touchscreen and it's why you can't find this driver on the Toshiba driver page. Contains the Windows system and own internal driver to control the touch screen.

Go to control panel-> Tablet PC settings control
Here you will find some options to calibrate the touch screen

In the view tab, you will find the setup button.
Click the Setup button to launch the Setup where you could point to the touch screen
In the substantive area called display display options you could calibrate the touch.

In case this workaround would not be possible or would not work, I recommend you put the laptop back to factory settings using the recovery media or HARD drive recovery option.

But beware: this recovery format the HARD drive and thus data backup would be recommended.

    I faced the following problem:

So I can't use screens touch separatally, I meen place different applications on both screens and operate with them by touch screen.

I'm not sure? Maybe its possible to solve the problem of cgahanging all win8 settings or install HP software?

Problem was sold after a few manipulations with the settings of operating system with USB ports:

2 reconnect the USB cable to a different USB port - in my case of USB2.0 to USB3.0 on hp400g2

  • Touchscreen and the noise of the fan U920T - 11 c satellite fails sometimes

    Hello

    I just bought the U920T - 11 c a few days ago.
I love him but he some of the questions they put me down and make me want to go back.

The first problem is the loud fan noise that lights up. Is there anyway to turn this off?

Happens about 15 minutes using the web and then turns on and off every 5 minutes. It's really strong and be in the break room, it is noticeable.

Can I do to stop this? I'm only using the web and not running other programs.

I also noticed that the touch screen fails to respond without particular reason. I don't know if there is a trend, but it's frustrating when it stops just for no reason and then sometimes everything works again.

Looking at these forums it seems that it is a common problem with the Toshiba. I have a few days before I can return, so if they are not resolved, I think that I might go just form the Samsun ATIV book 9 Lite instead.

    Thank you

    > Happens about 15 minutes using the web and then turns on and off every 5 minutes. It's really strong and be in the break room, it is noticeable.

I assumed that the noise comes from fans who need to run more quickly if the internal temperature would increase.
What you could do is change cooling performance module in single power management.
You could also decrease the performance of the processor. This would lead to a lower heat dissipation and the fans slow down.

    > Also, I noticed that the touch screen fails to respond without particular reason. I don't know if there is a trend, but it's frustrating when it stops just for no reason and then sometimes everything works again

You could try to calibrate the digitizer
Go to the control panel (Windows key + X-> Control Panel)-> Tablet PC setting.

The first display tab contains options such as configure screen stylus and touchscreen.
Here, you should be able to start the installation program and identify the touchscreen.

The first option must contain 1 internal LCD
At the bottom, you might find button to calibrate and reset the settings for the internal LCD.

But it could also be a hardware malfunction. I can't say for sure why this happens, but perhaps a technician should take a look at the material.

  • Satellite L50DT-A009 touchscreen does not work

    Hello!

Tech total noob here, but I bought this model today.
He had an upgrade of RAM 8 GB, made by the retailer.
    Other than that, standard bog.

However, the touch screen does not work.
We have had a look but impossible even to find all the tools for the screen.

A massive Windows Update, had a quick look on the drivers, nothing.
I was led to believe it is touchscreen, the demo model has been the touchscreen.
Anyone has an idea why this does not work?

    Thank you very much.

ETA: Sorry for posting the same question twice - ad on the old cranky computer since the new one is not playing ball right now!

I found the page on record of this on the Australian page of Toshiba laptop model:
    http://www.MyToshiba.com.au/products/computers/satellite/l50dt/pskm2a-009005/specifications

Indeed, the unit seems to support the capacitive touchscreen.

  • tm2t 1000 auto-rotation

I had business with the help of HP since a month now on automatic rotation of the screen show.  I'm curious to know if it's really a defect or just a bad design.

Problem #1:  When I flip the back cover in Tablet PC mode, I expect the screen to rotate automatically in portrait mode.  Mine does not work.  He remains in landscape.  I have to press the button on the cover to get it to run.

Problem #2: In tablet mode, I prefer "secondary portrait".  In this way, the bezel (which is the heaviest part of the Tablet), is resting in my hand... which actually feel lighter.  By default, the first position is portrait primary school.  So, I went to control panel-> Tablet PC settings and clicked on the link "orientation."  In the options, I disabled the primary and secondary Landscape Portrait.  What I expected now, when I press the button, it alternates between standard landscape and portrait favorite.  Instead, it does not take into account these parameters and turns to all 4 positions.  So now, when I want to make the portrait, I have 3 times press the button to do it where I want.

Problem #3: After I get to secondary portrait, if I plug in the device it in (all in tablet mode), he returned to primary landscape.  Again, I must press the button 3 times to get it to where I want to.  :-(

I've been a user of Tablet for about a decade.  I recently replaced a version of Acer of 7 years.  The old Acer was so much more usable than this one.

I deal with support and they seem to think that it is faulty hardware.  For some reason, the first time I sent it, they replaced the keyboard.  Seems random to me.  He always behaves in this way and they want to send me new.

Can someone tell me if this is how your Tablet?  I'm curious to know if it is defective or general bad design.  My hunch is this one.

    The fixed!

    http://www.touchsmartdevzone.com/forum/thread/2919/for-HP-TouchSmart-TM2-only-fixes-and-updates/

Bravo for the link above.  Here are the steps I took to make my portrait of auto rotation for secondary display:

    1. I uninstalled quick launch button software
    2 restarted
    3. I googled: HP QuickLaunch 6.40.12.2 L and found a direct link to an older version of the software.
    4 installed
    5 changed Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Hewlett - Packard HP Quick Launch Buttons\Schemes\Default\8526\Tablet_Docked_Display_Orientation = 2

    where

    0 - primary landscape
    1 - seconday portrait
    2 - seconday landscape
    3. primary portrait

    6 reboot

Now my screen automatically rotates secondary portrait in tablet mode.

WARNING!  As I test it... it seems that my screen rotation button no longer works.

I'm perfectly content with that because I never want my primary landscape screen when it is a laptop and the secondary portrait in the form of tablets.  I can still rotate the screen preferably video editing if I had to.  According to the link, you may be able to keep the functionality of the button by just copying on a particular DLL from the older version of the app.  I can try it eventually.

  • Windows 8 left / right sliding is no longer function

I have a Lenovo with Windows 8 twist and touch screen.  Features drag to get the bar, switch apps charms or anything else stops working shortly after the start.  I can't find any information on the activation of these features again.  Any help would be appreciated.

Had this problem on my netbook ASUS S200E. Left-shot of Touchpad gesture was beautiful, but the touch screen did not work.

Control Panel > tablet pc settings > display options > reset worked very well. Must have been a calibration that mucked it upward.

  • Pressure of the pen in PS CC 2014 with the Cintiq partner!

I downloaded PS CC 2014, because I was so happy about the new multitouch features on my companion of Cinitq of Wacom.

But the new PS CC 2014 recognizes no pen pressure or other features of Wacom as tilt!

    It's terrible. I can't use PS atm.

I've updated the drivers, I have reinstalled the drivers, I reinstalled PS, without any fortune!

    It just doesn't.

I have to blame CC 2014 PS, because the Wacom pen works fine in Photoshop CS 5 (wich luckly remains, but there is no chance to return to PS CC). Other programs such as krita oder Mudbox work very well also!

Please fix it as soon as possible!

    PS_CC_2014_fail.PNG

Now, I got a Wacom working solution:

Ink Windows and related features are Microsoft - some may be disabled in the control panel "Tablet PC settings. For pressure in 2014 CC PS enable "use Windows Ink" or activate the wintab feature again in Photoshop. To do this create a text file in a text editor such as Notepad.

    Type the following lines:

    # Use WinTab

    UseSystemStylus 0

[Save the file as a text file named PSUserConfig.txt and save the file in the Photoshop settings folder: C:\Users\[User name] \AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop 2014\Adobe Photoshop CC 2014 Settings\ CC

I really do not understand why Adobe changed this behavior and hide behind a command-line level hack?
