• How To Build exe for previous Versions

  I am a bit new to LabView and still struggilng with all the files associated with a project, so I don't know that it is a simple question.

  I'm under LabView v10 for development, but wants to create an exe that run on a version of the runtime v8.5. I've seen threads that suggests it's as simple as 'Save for the previous Version'... but for some reason I can't seem to make this work. I tried to save the vi for 8.5, then by choosing to build the exe, but to be invited to create a project, I thought it has not saved changes - that the Subvi have been converted to version 10. I tried to reduce the changes and opting to use those memory, but it does not; exe built then gives me a runtime error, complaining that isn't time LV 10.

  I tried to save the project with 'Save for the previous Version', and then construction. Yet once, it works not even if when I opened, and then immediately close or the project, or it contained VI, I thought it has not saved changes where it was converted in LV10 - implying the indeed saved files in LV8.5 format.

  I seem to go along in circles here. What is mind someone on the steps needed to build an exe that run on a previous runtime environment?

  To my knowledge, none of the device drivers of OR may have multiple versions co-exist.  Now, who does not necessarily mean if you use any material that you will encounter problems.  If the material is material OR, then they will also have specific drivers that may be conflicting, but if they are from another manufacturer, it will come down to NI-VISA probably.  If you use data acquisition cards, then you have installed DAQmx.

  As long as your program is not access to these devices, you're OK.  Do not update the drivers if you do not use the equipment.  You need to look for in the relase notes each of the drivers you need to update and see if you can find a version that supports 8.5 and LV2010.

  Even if you do this, it is not 100% guaranteed that you will have problems.  I wrote an application for a client once used OR-DAMA.  I had a control on the front panel, based on a typedef in the pilot.  I've updated my laptop for a new project, but later had to come back and do an update for the original project.  The typedef had changed and caused a recompilation.  Nothing broken on my end.  When I sent the update, it crashed on the PC of the client due to the change of the typedef.  I ended up bringing to upgrade the driver on their machine.

  Does anyone know how I can check (by program) the version of NIDAQmx which is currently installed on a computer, via the C or the Windows Scripting Host?

  I had the experience today, that a DLL compiled with NIDAQmx - 8.9.5f2 on a computer does not work on systems with NIDAQmx - 8.8.0f7. The DLL must be recompiled to work. The upgrade so that both machines are to 8.9.5f2 solved the problem. However, my users do not know it immediately, and the problem can be very difficult and frustrating to find.

  This will serve a precheck on my project to InstallShield script to see if everything is at the correct level. I already have this type of control for the CVI by looking at the actual DLL version field. Would it be something similar?

  Yes, the version of the software is stored in the registry. Look in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE > SOFTWARE > National Instruments > NOR-DAQ and NOR-DAQmx.

  I'm having a problem with alternative presentations used for refunds in InDesign. Currently using InDesign CC for all files, but these need to be saved out as IDML files for translation and to be compatible for CS6 as my CC license is not renewed at the office.

  What happens is that when I open the IDML after saving outside, alternate layouts extend outwards and scale incorrectly. Does anyone have experience or suggestions to work around this problem, other that individually save each file layout? I have 42 items if prefer to keep 3 renderings in a single file.

  Ok. I have the culprit of this disaster!

  Just check the rules of the pages for liquid layout.

  For the first page, which have not changed, it was: 'basic '.
  For the other two pages that change, it was: 'Scale '.

  Then I put all the pages of "basic", exported an IDML, opened again in v9.2.1 CC and everything seems fine.

When it was opened by another member through 2014, delimited reading Spreadsheet.vi is not found. I can't reproduce the error because I do not have an installation of 2014. The original thread is HERE. I enclose my original draft of 2015 as "Registered for previous" version 2014. Also attached is a screenshot of the attempt to open the 2014 version. This could be a problem with the backsave?

  Please contact the Mozilla Support and I am sorry that this update is not compatible with the extensions you use.

  Kaspersky support forums mention that these extensions will be updated soon, so that they are compatible with FF25. In the meantime, we do not recommend that downgrade you your version of Firefox, but you can find instructions and download locations for previous versions here:

  I found a HP document on error 42, 4, [(3,42,0)], forbidden during preview scanning is enabled which should solve this problem. Due to having a large screen monitors or set of high resolution, the DPI setting to increase the size of police/icon.

  In previous versions of firefox it would stay on the current page and leave the new tab on google search in the background ready to be open when I'm ready.

  Hello apple_juice, you can enter Subject: config in the address bar of firefox, confirm the notification of information (in the case, it turns out), search for the preference named browser.search.context.loadInBackground & switch true by double-clicking it. that should bring back the old behavior...
