Convenient way to transfer your photos with the browser with the interface to open the file one by one?
Guys, is there a practical way to manage photos download from a browser with menu open the file?
Almost 4 years ago I switched from Windows and I still have to keep a copy of Windows @ my iMac, retina uder | Desktop just to download the fotos on social networks!
I can't find comparable sort on OS X with speed and efficiency of a Windows file manager in Windows! I have anyway to browse the files one by one in OS X and uploadinf the u as browser files? And then turning in the folder covered exactly the position of file where u left to transfer a file?
For example I have 3000 photos in a folder of my trip to US. If I download choose and download few of them in a menu Finder to open the file in the browser and then return to the folder I want to browse all the photos from the beginning to find a file that I was browsing last! At least windows remembers the position of a file chosen when you left the file!
Did you ever notice how LAGGY is photo navigation interface in the menu "Open a file" Safari? Especially when you set to display pictures in a LIST? GWD! The operating system that is more focused on the photo does not offer ANY practical way to manage photos!
alejandro_64,
Your workflow is erroneous. I would recommend that use you the Photos app to manage your photos and if you then want to upload them to a social network like Facebook, or else others you can do so directly from the Photos app. This way you can manage your photos and share those you want easily. If you use any Photos now, you're a great DIS-service.
OS X is much more elegant and more simplified MS Windows has never been, unfortunately, you have not discovered what OS X features to do so.

Best way to share your photos - PSE 14?
What is the best way to share your photos?
When I consult with PSE 14 mode full screen, I see the full picture with captions.
However:
- Legends are not available in mode see the hand PDF Slide.
- Create PDF Slide show mode, subtitles are available.
- Howevever the full picture is not available. Most of the "themes" seem to cut the top and the bottom of certain images
- And the themes seem to hijack images, rather than simply presenting the photos.
Would like to be able to capture and send the view from the mode full-screen as a PDF or something.
Still, what is the best way to share photos by e-mail?
Thank you... Ron
We have all different ideas on sharing via "email address" and often features elements are not satisfactory for our purpose. You have perfectly described two features of pdf, share via the output to a pdf slide show (or video) or pdf.
Both are quick and easy, but there is no direct way to display captions with images full resolution and without transition effects.
You can use the function 'Print' with 'other options' Organizer configured to display captions, date... and specify one of many virtual printer drivers send the result to PDF instead of printing (standard in Windows 10). A quick and automated to produce a PDF without transitions and captions.
Or you can use a free, good software like Faststone resizer to prepare your output with more control over the size and position of the legend.
I have another problem: my use of the legends is such that I'm not all the legends that are shown, and I don't want each picture to have a caption (or title or date...) In fact, the text I want to appear on the pdf presentation would be specific to each image, with a different position depending on the image. It can be done with some work, and the result is much better.
When I want to share (I like Dropbox, but other storage cloud solutions are good), I choose my output size: (rare), HD TV screen full resolution or smaller. The Organizer, I do a resize a selection based on the height in pixels, then another resize a canvas based on the width, in pixels, with a black background. Can I edit the files individually to add text (not necessarily the legends) where I want to. It's the only job that requires little time, but the result is much better than including legends, both for the appearance of the text and the coherence of the story.

Easy way to access your Photos
Hello
is there an easy way to access my photos in the Photo for OS X app?
I know that I can export (for example on the desktop) and then drag and drop it into the destination folder/app
Another way is to use the menu to access media when opening files in apps but its not convenient to get the right picture.
Are there other/better ways that I can get my faster photos to other applications?
Use the menu to share Photos to share on Facebook or other applications.
And if you want to open photos in other applications, you can use the extensions of these photo editing applications. Or use the External Editor extension to open any other photo editor of pictures.

I recently changed to windows 7 from vista. I was wondering if there is a way to recover old photos of the vista operating system... If so can someone help me
If you did an upgrade and not a clean install, they must remain on your drive. Do a search of *.jpg, *.jpeg and see what you get. If I remember correctly, you will have a folder windows.old that they appear in. You can use Windows Explorer if you want to look in your records in the Windows.Old directory.
I hope this helps.

I can't open the RAW files from my Nikon D800 (i.e. NEF files). I use a Mac with Photoshop CS5 and El Capitan 10.11.2 version running. I get a message that "could not complete your request because the file appears to be a model of camera that is not supported by the installed version of Camera Raw. Please visit the Camera Raw help documentation for more information. "Yet the Nikon D800 is on the list of supported devices. Can anyone help?
And temporarily disable the Gatekeeper by allowing downloads from anywhere, or your installer will be marked as 'damaged' because that CS5 is out before Gatekeeper and is not "signed" that is not approved.

Hi - I tried for a few days in order to reopen all file ive created with photoshop cs5 but ketting the same message "Could not complete your request because the file is not compatible with this version of Photoshop."
the file is a psd file (just the regular photoshop save as an option) and the file in photoshop consisted of a quicktime movie file - which stood on a layer... (which I could rub through in the animation timeline) and a new layer video in which the individual frames, I drew some images with the brush.
I can play the video with two video layers in ps cs5, but when I record and try to open I get the message "Could not complete your request because the file is not compatible with this version of Photoshop."
I have no antivirus or norton... programs etc on my computer
and ive tried to do this on a mac and a pc and get the same result.
its crazy because im saving the file with the same im version tries to open it with.
any help meet me would save a looming deadline.
Thank you
I noticed that the psd file is only about 10 MB, but the movie quitime file (as a stand-alone file - (before that I made in photoshop is 650 MB)) - is this a problem?
Have you installed all the updates to Photoshop CS5? (the current version is 12.0.3)

I support a user of Photoshop CC 2014, which attempts to open multiple .jpg on his local computer files, but gets an error message: could not complete your request because the file is locked, you don't have the necessary access permissions or another program is using the file. Use the 'Properties' command in Windows Explorer to open the file. However, not all the files are affected, and many display a thumbnail of the image and allow the user to open the file. I checked the properties of the file and everything seems normal, and the user is a local administrator on the computer. Any ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Kind regards

Hi martyw,
If the problem is only with few files, whether they are corrupted or locked (only permission to read)
Please try to open the file in any other image editing program and save it as a Jpeg again.
Then try to open the file duplicate in Photoshop.
Kind regards

Cannot open JPG files in photoshop
Has anyone ran into this problem? Photoshop worked perfectly in the past and the other day I noticed that I can't open all the jpg files in Photoshop (tried all the usual ways to circumvent the opening problem), I get the error message: "Could not complete your request because the file was not found." I know that JPGs are fine, as they open in other applications. My work-around for the moment, is to open in preview mode before and export as a PDF file, then open the PDF file in photoshop, however, this is not ideal.
Someone at - it in the case, or have a fix
Any help much appreciatedDan
Hi Dan,.
Please install camera Raw from following link: Camera Raw of Adobe Photoshop CC and CS6 Installer
Once done, open file Jpeg, you shouldn't get the error more.
Let me know if it helps.

I downloaded and installed Photoshop elements 11 on my new Macbook Pro. Why can I not see my scanner (Epson Perfection 3200 Photo) of the file > Import menu?
There was no updated driver available (he says that my driver was aware), so I just deleted the scanner and the computer restarted. When he came, the scanner has already been added again. With great anticipation, I tried to import Photoshop... but no luck (scan was not visible). I finally ended up calling Epson (had a lot of difficulty finding a support number) and they me finally there is no update driver for OS X 10.10 and I should like a work around using "Image Capture" application I tried it and it works very well.

Could not complete your request because the file format module cannot parse the file.
I am trying to open JPEGs with Camera Raw - some work OK but many fail with the following error:
Could not complete your request because the file format module cannot parse the file.
Anyone know why it's a failure or how to fix it? I searched the forums and the Internet (with Google) but cannot find anything.
Using Photoshop CS5 extended (12.0.4) on MacBook Pro with Snow Leopard (10.6.8). Jpeg files have been copied to a Nikon D90 on a Windows 7 machine and then on my MacBook. As far as I KNOW, I did nothing for them on the Windows machine.
Thank you
Doug
The files may be corrupted or the files may be a camera that is newer than your version of ACR (make sure that you have installed the updates of the cab).

PS: Could not complete your request because the file was not found.
Mac OS X 10.7.5.
PS CC 2014 2.2.
Since I've updated my CC of the PS today, I'm unable to open jpg in PS files, even the JPG files that I had no problem opening in PS so far. Whenever I try, I get the following error message:
"Could not complete your request because the file was not found."
(I'm able to open PSD files, however.)
Help someone? Much appreciated!
Which could result from the 9.5 camera raw update.

Error: Could not complete your request because the file was not found. Help!
I've updated Photoshop CC and now if I try to open any file (jpg, psd, etc.), I get an error message: could not complete your request because the file was not found. Files lived on a hard drive, then I moved into the office... still no go. PS I uninstalled and re-installed. Same mistake. Here are the best, I can open the files very well in my old Photoshop 5.1... Any ideas? Working on a Macbook OS X 10.7.5 (really hoping that I don't have not updated to El Capitan)
Hi banderababe,
Photoshop CC 2015 is not compatible on Mac OS 10.7.5, however if you only use the version of Photoshop CC, then you can try to reset the preferences of Photoshop back to default values.
"To re-create the Photoshop preferences files, start the application while pressing Ctrl + Alt + Shift (Windows) or command + Option + shift (Mac OS). Then, click Yes to the message, "Delete the Adobe Photoshop settings file?"

Let us know if that helps.
