I tried first of all to make a new model which was a design liquid three column. I tested successfully, and my editable region has worked very well in the new design.   I mean no disrespect here.  But building responsive web sites is an art.  You must understand the various technical and aesthetic challenges that go into making a good responsive website.

  Mobile users interact differently with their devices.   They need friendship finger and images that are of suitable size for their devices, including the retina / poster of high pixel density.  More important still, mobile users don't need or want to strip excessive bandwidth & too much information.   Content must be streamlined for these devices.   A careful thought and planning goes into a sensitive project.  It is not something simply slap you with widths % & say "I'm done."  It is much more than that.

  You have a wonderful art collection.  Don't short change yourself with a poorly designed, tout-pour-le-amour-de-Google Web site.   You deserve a better product than that.

  Stay away from fluid grid Layouts (inheritance).  They are removed from DW because they are not a good solution.

  Hire a web professional experienced to help you rebuild your site with versicles with databases and a content management system.  IMO, anything less will be a wasted effort.

  . PSD files are for Photoshop files with layers. When I'm working with a designer, I ask for a laminate. PSD file and use that to create the different sections of a Web site and either match the colors in the file Photoshop with environments or use the Photoshop design to let me know how big things should be, how much text high pixels or other items should be and so on.

  But there is no "conversion tool" which will do a full site based on modern HTML and CSS standards in a photoshop document. Everything must be done in Dreamweaver by someone who knows how to write code to make a website.

  I do not work with WordPress, but I don't know that we can use Dreamweaver to create a complete WordPress theme to a Web site. I guess that in the years to come, I will learn how do, but for now, I focus on php and JavaScript.

  If you fill the text block with [paper] and apply the shadow I think you get what you want.

  To open the file in.doc format, you need Microsoft Word or any other compatible application. Adobe Acrobat Reader DC app does not open Doc of PDF files.

• Build Tags lost converting WinHelp to HTML format

  I convert my WinHelp to HTML (.chm) help system, using RoboHelp X 5, WIN XP Pro, and Word 2003. I tried the conversion in several ways (.hpj import, importation of .hlp, import doc files) but all the tags of conditional compilation of WinHelp with each method, I tried to lose.
  
  Import WinHelp .hpj file seems the best overall approach because it preserves the ID card, table of contents, index, etc, but I don't understand why it does not preserve the coditional tags. Or am I missing some setting?
  
  I hope that someone has experienced this problem and has a solution. I don't want to spend weeks reverting build tags!

  Hi djm_writer. Peter is spot on. This is a known issue. So far no hotfix has been applied to it. I ran a test to see if Peter's suggestion would work, but in this case, the references are not held.

  I used notepad ++ to save a html doc in my office. It is encapsulated in the FireFox icon. However, when I click to open it... nothing happens. RT click on open with Explorer option and Chrome is fine. I want FF.

  A complete answer would require that we know what "word processing" you use.  However, one of the types of files that are acceptable as 'pdf', you can install 3rd party freeware "CutePDF Writer" on your computer:

  Note that you need to install CutePDF and Ghostscript (both on the site) on your machine.  After you do, you will find that you have another printer on your computer named "CutePDF Writer".  Print the file of word processing for this virtual printer.  When you do so, it ask for a place to store your PDF file.  Give it a name and location, and it will create a PDF file for you.   Excellent Freeware (among my top 10) and works with any application you can print from.  Especially good for saving recipes online so that you don't waste any ink/paper.

As a quick mock up, it may be acceptable, but for a real Web site, it will be bad, really bad, when you start to change information as time passes.

  In general, it is much, much better to create your HTML in DW and use these other programs to create images or text content.

  Currently, Adobe Muse does not save your site in xml format. I'll leave this thread open to any suggestion for conversion of html in xml.
