Convert a point of light access point independent

Hi all,

I have a brand new AIR-LAP1242G-A-K9 who is a lightweight AP native and I need to convert it to a standalone access point, is it possible?

Thanks in advance for your help.

Hi Alfonso,.

Yes, it is possible. Here is the official document:

http://www.Cisco.com/en/us/docs/wireless/access_point/conversion/LWAPP/upgrade/guide/lwapnote.html#wp161272

We already used this procedure quite often and it works very well.

Welcome,

Sebastian

    Hello

I have 4 1142N access points are all points of light access. Because I don't have a controller, I need to convert to standalone AP.

I went through document cisco 1142, where it is mentioned that "the access point 1142 doesn't have the default IP address"

I know procedure to convert offline in which I need to connect ap to the TFTP 10.0.0.1 with the ip address by default, but as for 1142, we do not have the default ip address. What is the procedure to convert offline?

I have to assign a pool in one of the local switch and connect the ap to these switches with vlan, so she will receive the IP address of the DHCP server?

But how can we without default IP address? I wonder about this...

If I did not turn on where I can assign pool dhcp... what should I do?

Please suggest me to convert 1142 standalone AP ap...

I will be thankful to get the right answer...

    Hi Vinod,

    Here's the resolution...

The image that is on the device's LWAPP, not the autonomous... If you want to use the AP in stand-alone mode, then the image must be W7... It's...

    C1140-k9w7 - tar.124 - 21A .JY .tar not c1140-rcvk9w8 - tar.124 - 23c.JA.tar

Please feel free to download any image from the below link and perform the conversion of image LWAPP to stand alone...

    the methos to convert is...

Download TFTPd32 of google and install it on your PC... point of the image that you downloaded on the TFTP server.

Connect a cable ethernet between your notebook and AP... both should be on the same subnet... Connect a cable from the console and access the hyperterminal console with the command... Make sure that you are able to ping the PC and AP and vice versa!

    AP > en

AP #debug lwapp console cli or debugging console cli capwap

    T AP #config

    AP (confg) int FA 0

AP(confg-IF) ip addr (same subnet as the laptop)

    End AP(confg-IF)

    Force - reload DOWNLOAD - AP #archieve sw / overwrite tftp: / /.

    Force - reload DOWNLOAD - AP #archieve sw / overwrite tftp: / /<10.0.0.5>/c1140-k9w7-tar.124-21a.JY.tar

The above command will do it for you!

Let me know if that answers your question...

  • The tolerance setting works for the "Convert anchor point tool"? Are there other ways?

    Hello
I wonder if the setting "tolerance"in the preferences only works for the arrow tools?» I put it to 8 pixels and it seems OK for these tools, but when I use the tool 'Convert Anchor' point it is incredible difficult to hit a point for me. It seems that I have to hit a point exactly one pixel, which is hard with a screen high resolution.
My PC keeps beeping all the time and I'm getting crazy on this subject...
It seems that the framework of tolerance doesn't work here, I'm right? There are other parameters that could help me to work with this tool?

Sorry if this is the kind of a beginner question, I have much experience with PS and LR, but not so much with Illustrator (and I couldn't find anything useful in the internet).

    Thank you

I agree, it is sometimes difficult to click on the sweet spot. Here are 3 proposals:

    1. Pay attention to the cursor icon. This will change when you are on a point anchor or direction.
    2. Try to turn on 'bearings commented. They can be a nuisance, but they are sometimes useful.
    3. Use the button "convert" on the Options bar. They may take a little longer but they are full-proof, moreover, you can convert or remove several selected points simultaneously using this method.

You download, install, run the DNG Converter and use to convert a FOLDER of images in DNG raw. These DNG can then be imported into older LR. When you select the source in the DNG Converter, do not forget that selecting a folder so just click on the name of the folder to select, rather than double-clicking the name of the folder to open it.

  • Anchor Point & Management Points conversion tool

    To quote: this:

"To convert a corner point without guidelines from a corner with guidelines first, independent point slide a point of direction on a corner point (making a point of inflection with guidelines). "Release the mouse button only (don't release the keys to activate the Steering Point conversion tool), and then drag two points."

    My question is:

Once you have moved from a point of direction, with the Convert Anchor Point Tool, is it possible to then move the two points of direction at the same time? Or should we use the Convert Anchor Point Tool to convert this point into a point of inflection?

How and why should I use it? I do not know; I do I just know everything about management points.

Yes, you can move the handles of direction chosen at the same time by making the scale/rotation (a tool for transformation), but you cannot move them without moving the Bézier point.

    Try this

    Draw, then select a circle

Select > object > guidelines handles

    Use the rotation tool

  • floating point No. the chain with the same precision

I use "format string" to convert floating point No. to a string. Most of the numbers have a single decimal digit, so I use '%^0.1f' in the format in the connection string. But for our whole. like 150, it gets converted to 150,0. I want to avoid this, such that the chain looks exactly like the No.... What should I change?

Use %#0.1f as your format string.

Read the help file on the format codes. The sign # told him to truncate the zeros.

  • When you add points on the path with the pen tool, it will always add handles almost anything?

I'm stumped... I have used several times before the tool pen without problem. I use Wacom Intuos... but have also disconnected and used touch pad and the same thing happens... I want to add a track with the tool point pen to move and create a perfect angle and no matter what I do the pen creates the point with handles and, of course, with handles, it becomes very difficult to create and move a corners with the direct Selection tool... It certainly could be Windows or some other internal force creating the problem... I have three versions of Photoshop installed on my Alienware... Photoshop 6, CC2014 and CC2015.5.1 and it happens in all versions of three... If I'm a fool for lack of something obvious please let me know... If it's something I'm missing or have forgotten that I'd appreciate any help I can get... Peace and thanks

The default behavior is. I just hold down the alt/opt and then convert the point at a point without handles.

  • There is no handles on my anchor points

    Please can someone help?

I tried to see the bounding box, ctrl and H, etc and there is still no handle for control on my anchor points. I've been Googling for 20 minutes and can't seem to find a solution. Help, please!

    Sally,

You have created the Anchor Points with handles (smooth as opposed to the corner)?

What happens if you click or ClickDrag an anchor with the tool convert anchor point (you can Ctrl / Cmd + Z for undo)?

  • How to change an anchor in an inflection point

I remember a method using the pen tool or the anchor for this tool... need a reminder

The points conversion tool will be repeated. You can find it with the pen tool. Just click and hold a few seconds on the tool pen to see fly menu.

This can also be done with the pen tool. Hold down alt Windows or opt on Mac to see convert tool points.

Place the cursor on the point then click and drag to make a good corner.

  • Delete just a handful of anchor point

I can't find consistently to remove only one of the 2 handles to an anchor point. I can drag the handle in the anchor point, but sometimes it still there today and can be removed. Other times, he seems to disappear, as you wish.

I would like to convert only a handful.

    Thank you

    Sonny

With my copy of Photoshop, I can, using the tool Point conversion, convert the point a point of two handles to a point with a handle (with the ALT key down) or a corner (with no modifier key) point.

With the down arrow key Alt I can drag a corner point to lengthen a handful in a single dimension.

You people are not able to reproduce this? This would be a difference between the PC and Mac platforms?

  • Possibility of creating a second handle on a point without moving one?

    Hello again,

Just had a question about something that often drives me crazy. Sometimes when I edit an object (especially text that has been converted to outlines for logos etc.) there are points on the way I want / need to remove. Many of the times the points that I am remove were a part of the curve which made way look nice and smooth. For some reason any Illustrator like to create two points that overlap between them with a handle extending in opposite directions for each rather than a single point with two handles...

In cases where I have a comment on a path with only a handful, if she superimposed on another point or not, is there a way to create a new handle on the side opposite where there is no a handle without moving the handle that is already there? I hate fiddling with the path for 10 minutes then try to get everything back in the same position. I would like to be able to drag a new handle when the old handle locking, but the behavior of the convert anchor point tool seems to be to get rid of the old existing handle and recreate two new handles that resets everything.

Is there a way to get around this? A behavior tool option or perhaps even another tool that won't let me not just add a handful to the point that he is absent without moving or deleting the existing handle on this point? If it's important I use Illustrator CS5.5. Thanks for any help in advance!

There is no solution in one step to do this natively. One method would be to turn on the guides, drag a vertical and horizontal guide, slam on the original handle, extend both with the anchor to convert point tool and reposition the first handshake, snapping to the intersection of guide. Then, you must unlock the guides, and remove them.

However, if you are ready to use a third-party plug-in, the PathScribe (part of the plugin VectorScribe) tool can extend a mixer without altering the first.

But better yet, it has a command "Remove redundant points" which automatically merges the two points to a handle by a single point with two handles - avoiding you having to play manually with the handles at all.
