Convert the PDF portfolio into single PDF file chronologically (ADOBE ACROBAT 11)

Hi, I have a pdf portfolio of my e-mail archives that I want to convert a single pdf file. The way I do it is by adding the e-mails give a portfolio and then clicking on merge files into a single pdf, adding the portfolio in the box. However, this creates a single pdf file that is NOT in the chronological order of the emails that were originally in the portfolio. It is rather in the alphabetical order of the subject of the email.

How to combine e-mails in a single pdf file in chronological order of the emails?

Thank you very much

Hi andrewk72810658,

Rather than use the portfolio option, simply try to combine e-mail in PDF format.

Kind regards

  • I created a PDF editable using Adobe Indesign. When I open the PDF file in Adobe Acrobat Pro ms, is there a way to specify a font style? Or is it possible in InDesign to make sure that when someone types in this text field is a certain font?

    I need to make sure that the entered text is a certain font to keep continuity with the rest of the document. Thank you!

    To make form editing mode, select 'Prepare form' in the right pane. You will then get a toolbar at the top which contains various tools that focus on the form. The first thing to do is to add a temporary button. You will use this to determine the name of the font to use with the script but also to place the script that will change the properties of the font of text fields. Thus, create a button anywhere and double-click on it to bring up the field properties dialog in the Actions tab, add a JavaScript action to the mouse event to the top which is:

    // Mouse Up script for temporary button
    app.alert(event.target.textFont);

    On the appearance tab, select the font you want to use for the text fields. Once you have done this, close the form editing mode and click the button. It displays a popup that lists the name of the font. This may be different from the name that appears in the drop-down list on the appearance tab, so write down it. For example, when I chose "Minion Pro" in the menu dropdown, popup showed "MinionPro-Regular.

    The next step is to replace this script of mouse upwards by the following text:

    // Mouse Up script for temporary button

    // Change the font and font size for all text field in this document
    for (var i = 0; i < numFields; i++) {

        var f = getField(getNthFieldName(i));

        if (f.type === "text") {
            f.textFont = "MinionPro-Regular";
            f.textSize = 9;
        }

    }

    Replace "MinionPro-Regular" by the name of the font that you wrote before, and set the font size to whatever you want. Use 0 to specify a font size of 'Auto '.

    This script will change the font of all the text fields to whatever you specify. When you have verified that text fields are implemented as you want, you can go ahead and delete or hide the button. If you think you'll do a lot of forms of work, you can create customized in Acrobat tools to speed up this process, but this should help you get started. InDesign does not allow you to specify a large number of field and action properties, so you must work this way, and using scripts to automate is an accessible way to significantly speed up the process and avoid mistakes.

    I can't seem to edit PDF files in Adobe Acrobat, as it says the files are protected and I need to enter a password of Permissions?

    If the files have a permissions password, you must know it and delete security, before you can edit the files. That is right.

  • When I try to open a PDF file with adobe Acrobat reader Windows Media Center automatically appears.

    When I try to open a PDF file with adobe Acrobat reader, windows media center automatically opens. How to prevent this? I just want to open the PDF file with Acrobat reader.

    The solution I think. If you right-click on one of the files and select open the file locations it now combined the file with adobe reader.

    Yes - you simply need to change the associated file (and path) back to Adobe Reader.  (If that's your choice PDF reader.)

    If you did this:

    Press the Windows Logo and R key at the same time to bring up the dialog box RUN.
    Once you have the dialog box up, type in the following command and press OK...

    cmd /k ftype AcroExch.Document

    That he return with? Should be something like:

    AcroExch.Document = "C:\Program files (x 86) \Adobe\Reader 10.0\Reader\AcroRd32.exe" '%1'

    Convert a PDF (any file pdf) text requires special

    You can not. You need Acrobat for this kind of task.

  • Is it possible to 'ring' selected numerical values easily to an editable PDF file with Adobe Acrobat?

    Hi guys,.

    I work in the film industry and we are looking to use Adobe Reader to create sheets of digital camera report that will connect the crucial information for the editors/vfx production on a highly publicized movie shooting this year. Usually this is done with sheets of paper carbon-copied, but a new trend is to make digitally in order to facilitate life for everyone.

    One of the things as facts easily on paper is the selected circle takes so the laboratory handling film knows how to treat film: this can save a lot of time and money. Shooting digitally the same thing applies, transcode only you some takes, and it makes it easier for everyone.

    My problem with design sheets is implementing in a pdf editable using popular software, the most popular of them are Adobe Acrobat. A numeric value that represents a number to take will be in a column in the pdf file, and I need a way of circling this value to basically a click of a button or similar. Is this possible to do with Acrobat?

    One of the other things it is easy to do on paper is to draw a distinct line when a roll of camera/memory card is changed, if there is a way to make a line in a table "BOLD" again, the click of a button, which would be extremely useful!

    Thanks guys, I look forward to hearing your suggestions!

    Hi imad,.

    We have a work around for this problem. I hope that it will work in your scenario.

    Print the PDF using "Adobe PDF". Edit this new PDF instead of the original one.

    Steps to follow:

    1. go to file-> Print. (Ctrl + P)

    2. Select 'Adobe PDF' as the printer.

    3. click on print. Save in any desired location when prompted.

    4. open the new PDF.

    5 edit.

    Let me know if this helps.

    Hi 1gene.

    It seems that you just are not connected to the ExportPDF service. If you use a web browser, please clear the cache and then connect directly to https://cloud.acrobat.com/exportpdf. If you want to convert the drive you choose Help > updates to ensure that you have installed the latest versions.

  • Missing the module converted to the pdf IE10 and Adobe Acrobat XI

    Hello

    I have Windows 8 with Adobe Acrobat Pro installed XI but I find no internet explore 10 "adds - on ' (or the icon on the IE toolbar) to"convert pdf file"more.

    I think the original problem when I installed Creative Suite CS3 and Acrobat 8 was in it. I installed too fast and didn't know it was included. It exceeded some of the features of Pro XI, so I uninstalled Acrobat 8 and installed Adobe Acrobat Pro XI again to see if the problem could be solved.

    Even worse. With Acrobat 8 and installed XI, I've always seen the adds-on, but that they were 'not available', or turned on but cannot find the icon to use the function. Now I can not even find the Adds it in the menu Tools of IE to see if they could be activated. They just aren't there anymore. It's the main feature that I use for my work and I you'd be grateful if someone could give me a hint or where to download the missing element.

    Thank you very much.
