Cookie Manager - it allows to backup/restore a cookie in particular.

Cookie Manager - http://cookiemanager.blogspot.com/
Sometimes I connect to a site and he seems to forget that I've been there and the info I entered previously. This is especially irritating if it's a game I've taken at a high level.

If doc in support, I can't find the answer to my problem.
The 'Save' icon at the bottom right does not seem to do anything, and I don't really want to save each cookie anyway.
The 'Export' icon down seems to save all cookies in a single file, which means I would be restore all my biscuits expired?

What I want to do is to save one or more cookies & then be able to add/attach cookies already on the computer. Is this possible?

Check-out the cookie Manager add on Cookies Manager Plus or others, you can search on this site.

In the preferences/Options > privacy > history > show Cookies...
You can manage them manually as well.

I hope this helps!

  • Can I save/backup/restore my entire macbook system with iCloud?

    As above.

I just bought PC World/Currys know-how, that is to say, their version of the cloud.  I don't like.

Apparently, it allows that a restore if my macbook pops up, stolen etc.  iCloud should not cost much more.  I suspect iCloud would work better with my mac.  But, I can do as I ask above, IE, my mac restore everything from iCloud?

Know-how is all just too confusing.  I can not even find were my photos are, and too many files have a big '?' by them.

    Thank you.

No.... iCloud is no way to predict a backup everything on your Mac. This, to an external drive using the Time Machine application in your Applications folder.

  • Backup Restore Time Machine after 10.11.3 downgrade to 10.10.5?

I am installing a purchased copy of Capture NX2 photo of Nikon editing software on my MacBook Pro retina 2015.

I learned that I can only install this software on a machine running upward for OS X 10.10.5 (Yosemite) and that after an upgrade to El Capitan software will still work.  (The software cannot be installed under El Capitan, confirmed by Nikon)

I had a Time Machine backup of my 10.11.3 system, lowered to Yosemite with a new installation of a boot USB disk, installed the Capture NX2 without difficulty. Works very well.

Now, I would like to restore from backup Time Machine El Capitan, but maintain the installation of the software (i.e. I don't want to replace all of the disk). Yosemite will not let me restore from backup Time Machine of El Capitan (see the files, but will not allow app or restorations of the photo library)

Is it still possible?  What I need to solve this problem by having an El Capitan and Yosemite a partition on my hard drive?

    Thanks in advance!

It seems that the plan was to go down, install the software, then upgrade.

Have you tried to upgrade, and then use the Migration Wizard to migrate the data from the backup?

  • Backup/restore problem: some files not restored

My hard drive died.  Fortunately, I had a recent backup.  I managed to restore most of my files and also finally got access to my file of Microsoft Outlook data (due to gurus on these forums).

I'm now trying to recover the data for my financial program.  I checked the files in the backup folder, and they understand the data I want to restore.  However, when I go through the restored files, I don't find them.  I try to avoid having to enter again about 1 1/2 years of data.

The backup was performed on a laptop Dell running Vista Ultimate and was stored on a USB external drive.  It was made using the backup/restore program that comes with Vista.

    Any suggestions?

    Thank you in advance.

I'm now moving extra files on my USB key for added security.

I would like to know if there is an easy way to remove duplicate files that take up more space on my hard drive.

However, the original problem is now solved.

    Thanks again.

  • How to use Windows NT Backup - Restore

    Hello
I followed the instructions from Microsoft to download Windows NT Backup - Restore and have some to trun on removable storage management.

But still no idea of how to make to restore .bkf files from my external hard drive to my laptop that is running Windows Vista. I created these Windows XP by using the backup and restore utility.

When I go to the "backup and Restore Center" in Vista, it still does not recognize these backup files. And I can't open them directly by going into the computer, then in the external drive and try to open the file.

  • Planning Protection System (Backup/Restore Points)

It's actually a repeat of my previous post unresolved since a couple of months.  I want to program creating AUTOMATIC backup/restore by 'System Protection' points.  I don't know of DATA BACKUPS.  I just "let the question slide"... pending, until today when I received an e-mail inquiry HP which brought me back to the question.  I decided not to continue the previous thread, because it degraded in my frustrating rantings.  Here is my original post.

    . . .

I have a HP Pavilion Elite HPE-110 t, Windows7 Home Premium computer.  I want to change my schedule for the creation of the Protection system of backups of the system (not the data files).  It seems that it is currently set for monthly backups (unless, I suppose, a '' significant '' event occurs).  In accordance with the recommendations of the new documentation of the computer, I have not shut down the computer during the night; I let it go to sleep so that automatic "tricks" can occur on the calendar.  Occasionally, the next morning, he has rebooted & waiting for my password.

I just had a problem with the icons on the desktop freeze... has not responded to the command.  I considered what to do a system restore, but in my research, I was told that there is no restore point.  I started to panic... I didn't know that the magic words were "system protection".  Now, I think that what I was told was that my data had not been automatically saved.  Finally, I took a deep breath and restarted.  Fortunately, which fixed the problem of the frozen... icon but he left the more serious problem of no backup/restore points.  I dropped everything & began to study.

Finally, I ran into Control Panel / System / System Protection & found 2 points, including 1 that is apparently automatic around midnight the 21st of each month restoration.  I decided to increase the frequency of twice a month.  But I'm only the DVD RW drive to a backup destination.  This is not what I want.  I want the same destination (original) does not change. I guess that's the drive C (or D-Drive).  All I want to do is change the programmed frequency.

I used before backup/restore points on other computers without problems.  Everything was pretty simple & straight forward.  What I'm missing here?

Thanks for any help that can be provided.

    Hi Jim,.

Well I think I have a solution.  It seems that Scheduler tasks won't that create 1 catering point in a 24 period time - after 24 hours has passed, it will create another since the first trigger, which becomes valid.  Forinstance so (after 24 hours), if the trigger is to create a restore point at startup and at 09:00, if you started the computer at 08:00 a restore point will be generated and relaxation at 09:00 will be ignored.  That is why, in a time which is within 24 hours of the last created Restore point does not work.  In the screenshots following are parameters that should allow you to set a time for your restore point planned to create.  There is a way to check if it works - after setting the calendar, you must remove the existing restore Points.  Then, you should find that the next outbreak valid (ie the defined time period) will now create a restore point as shown in the last screenshot.  Details on the removal of the existing restore points is at the end of the third screenshot - just remember when setting the time you want your restore point to create, give yourself plenty of time to edit the task and remove the existing restore points.

With the above setting is applied, Task Scheduler to close, open windows control panel, open system, click on the System Protection link, click on configure and then click on Remove to remove the existing restore points.  Once completed, just wait the time set the trigger to activate.  After a few minutes, you should see the task is executed correctly and created a restore when you - these are my results below.

As you can see, the Restore Point reports correctly that it was created at 19:50, the time that I put in the Task Scheduler.

If you have any questions in this regard, please let me know.

    Kind regards

  • What is the standard way to backup / restore the application options?

    Hello

I was wondering what is the standard way to backup / restore application options (scenario: options backup to memory card, the user reinstall OS, reinstall app, restore options)

I would rather not put up my own encode / decode routines if possible.

I've seen several approaches used in real-world applications:
    * csv like data file
    * binary storage (Berry, weather)
but I'm not aware on how they have been implemented.

    Any ideas / suggestions?

    Here's the "official" way

    http://supportforums.BlackBerry.com/T5/Java-development/backup-and-restore-small-amounts-of-data-USI...

This works if people use Desktop Manager to switch devices.

I think that most people will write their own serialization code to convert objects into a form of byte (as you saw csv, or own format or XML) and then put that somewhere - like your own server for application aware network or SD card.  This approach works, regardless of the method, users of user to switch devices.

  • Windows Backup & restore leaves gaps in the backup period date ranges

I noticed that backup & restore leaves gaps in the date ranges displayed on the screen of backup periods under the function to manage the space.  This means that files change during the interval periods have not been saved?  For example, the screen shows currently backups and the following periods:

    Jan 26: 12-18 Mar, 12 GB 10.40

    Apr 04, 12-13 Apr, 12 GB 19.62

    27 April, 12-27 Apr, 12 GB 05.16

    May 06,12 - May 06,12 02.41 GB

    May 27.12 - 17 Jun, 12 GB 03.41

What is the importance of gaps?

How can I tell that B & R is fully backup all files that changed since the last backup run?

How can I varify the 1st backup is a backup full?

How can I varify that the system image backup is up-to-date?

I save approximately once a week to a USB external hard drive. I use options "Include a system image" and "Let me choose" to select the files and have selected the option 'keep only the last frame system & minimize the space used '.

    Hello

Backups are created in sets called backup periods. To maximize your disk space, Windows backup backup all folders selected, the first time it's run and then it only backs up files that are new or have been modified since the last backup was made. Periodically, Windows creates a new, full backup. Each full backup is called in a backup. When you view your backups of files, you can see all the backup periods with date ranges. If you decide to delete backups of files, you should always keep the most recent backup of the file.

  • RMAN backup restore a band

    Hello gurus

We have lvl0 RMAN backup restored to a band, but a few reasons that we couldn't apply recovery on it. Verification of the information contained in the controlfile, he identified the file system only and no other files. So we recreated the controlfile and decided to recover using backup controlfile (up to cancel or to change or until). However, to my surprise, when I listed the columns checkpointchange # and checkpoint_time v$ datafile_header, I found the difference in time stamps ranging from 24 hours - including menat we had to apply 24 hrs of archiving to bring dbfs all in a consistent state (before it has allowed us to open the db) - well, it worked this way.

My question is that if I trigger a lvl0 RMAN backup to say 16:00 July 27 and ends at 16:00 on 28 July (as I am directly pushing around 1 TB of data on tapes) - what is the timestamp of the coherence of this backup. In other words, there is this backup to restore from 16:00 July 27? Or it is only available for a restore from 16:00 28 July and later...?

Is it not that RMAN works at the block level and when I start a backup should give me all the dbf than timestamp... ?

    Enjoy your entries and comments.

When you take an online backup with RMAN, the backup of data files is always inconsistent because they have logs archived redo generated during the backup to match: http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/B19306_01/backup.102/b14192/intro005.htm#sthref70.

A full online backup can only be used to restore the database to a point in time begins after the end of backup: If a backup starts at 16:00 on 27 July and ends at 16:00 on 28 July, you can use it to restore the database to a point in time after 28 - DEC 16:00.

  • Backup/restore tablespaces in noarchivelog mode

In our office, there is a box of oracle 10g that is used for testing purposes.
He got only 1 database, but each user has its own tablespace.
As it is not a 'live' box, archivelog and flashrecovery have been disabled by the dba likely in favor of speed.

I have a suit of NUnit test that crosses a tablespace, and I'm trying to restore the tablespace before each race.
In noarchivelog mode, RMAN allows me to take the tablespace offline and create a backup - well.
Later, I'm capable of taking the tablespace offline again and issue a command to "RESTORE the TABLESPACE.
But then I can't bring the tablespace online without issuance of an order to 'RECOVER '.
I tried the NOREDO option but it still says that the file has a media recovery before it can be brought online.

Is there a way to bring the tablespace online without applying REDO logs?
Backup/restore of tablespace or not possible because of noarchivelog?

    Thank you.

He asks for any newspaper archive, when you turn the fire 'recover' command?

When you take a tablespace offline, the tablespace is not updated with the oracle's internal clock. So when you try to bring the tablespace online, oracle estimated that the tablespace is not in harmony with the other storage spaces. That is why it requires recovery. If you turn the fire back the command simply updates the tablespace and brings online storage space after applying the data available in the online redo log.

But if the data has been flushed to redo, then it is difficult to synchronize the tablespace.

    Kind regards

  • iPhone 6 s - 100% carbon copy backup/restore to iTunes - is that possible?

    Hello

I am trying to find a way to save/restore an iPhone via iTunes installation so that the restoration of places any return on the phone with the same configuration (essentially, an exact clone of the original installation that is being backed up).

Questions that I met with attempts to use iTunes for backup/restore:

    • Passwords and other security information do not restore.
    • Applications not getting restored
    • WIFI networks not get restored
    • attached randomly do not restore (some, not all).

iCloud backups solve this problem (sort of).

    • It takes an internet connection takes too long and medium, and you are left without a phone can be used for a period of time, so that the restore process is complete. I'd rather do it via iTunes.
    • Passwords and other security information do not restore.

Any help please? In the end, I'm looking for a way to backup my phone to a PC and restore it so it looks identical to how it did before the backup.

For a long time (perhaps in the iPhone 4/5 days?) this process described above works, 100%. Apple changed something in recent years.

    Thank you

    Bob

The backup does not contain music or apps, because they should be in the media library iTunes on your computer, and if you synchronize right after that the restoration of the backup is then reinstalled. Normally this is done automatically when you perform a restore if you not to interrupt.

Passwords and health data are only saved if you choose encrypted backup.

There is no way to make a backup "image" of the phone, but if you use Encrypted and let run until the end, that it will restore everything the way it was.

See this Apple trick for some details: about backups in iCloud and iTunes - Apple Support
