Copy/cut does not work on Windows 8.1

I upgraded to Windows 7 (where the FF worked fine) to 8.1 Windows a few months ago. After upgrade FF stops working well enough for me to use. I opted for Chrome/Opera, but I'm tired of this and want to come back to FF but am it is very difficult. The questions are

- I can't copy/cut anything via either Ctrl+C or the context menu. The context menu rarely will show Copy/Cut/Paste and if they are shown they do nothing. One time I pressed crtl+C a lot ina row and Copy worked for that session but when I restarted the browser it stopped working again.

These may or may not be linked to the question of copy/cut, but certainly do not work as well.

-  Sometimes the context menu will show every possible menu item ever available in the OS. I'll right click and I need to scroll and scroll to find copy/paste. They still don't work when I find them.
- I can't highlight text and have the context menu show the "search google" button. Nor can I take that highlighted text and drag it to the URL bar/search bar.
- If a video is playing (youtube/comedy central...) and I drag that tab out to make a new window this creates a blank "New Tab" in the original window and make it look like the video tab is moved to a new window but the video won't play any more. Nor can I stop it. and I can't close that tab by right clicking. But I can Ctrl+W it but that doesn't stop the audio. The audio will continue until I close FF entirely.
- Middle click used to not work but now usually works. i.e I used to not be able to close tabs or open links in new windows with middle click. But FF 28 seemed to fix that. Again mayeb/maybe not related.

I am running FF 29 but these questions were all present for the latest versions of ~ at least 4 (all that was last fall). I use FF sync and everything works fine on all my devices synced running W7. It is the only computer that I have W8.1 on so I can't test another 8.1 installation. I uninstalled and reinstalled several times but I don't think that I have deleted all my personal computer setting. I have a few extensions (Adblock more 2.5.1 all-in-one genstures 0.26, Rainbow 1.6, more Smart Bookmarks bar 1.11, 1.0alpha18 of Stumbleupon and TiddlyWiki). They are all also synced on my other computers.

Any ideas?

    This can help with some (but not all the) programs/drivers:

    (1) uninstall the program, if it is already installed. Then when install you / reinstall instead of double click on the Setup file, right click and select 'resolve compatibility issues.

    (2) then click on 'Try recommended settings' and in the next window, click on "Start the Program" to install it.

    (3) after he set up see if it works properly. Note: some programs may not be able to run in Windows 7.

    In the past, I use the example of the Rich Textbox (\samples\userint\activex\richTextxbox.prj) in Windows XP (CVI 2010 SP1).

    It seems that the Rich Textbox control component provided by one of the VB Runtime is more included by default with Windows 7.

    I was able to manually record using Regsvr32 ActiveX control as described in the following Microsoft KB.

    I managed to download the ActiveX control needed here and there, you must copy the .ocx for the ActiveX control in your C:\Windows\SysWOW64 directory. Open an administrator command prompt and run "REGSVR32 RICHTX32. OCX'.

    SysWOW64 is the "Windows on Windows" emulation directory which is used for the execution of 32-bit controls in a 64-bit environment.

    I realize this isn't the best solution by making the deployment of applications a little more complicated, another solution would be to use another control ActiveX RTF like the one here: http://www.lebans.com/richtext.htm.

    My DVD/CD drive does not work in Windows 8 Professional with or without data or audio in it. However, if I turn off the PC with a bootable CD/DVD in there, the PC recognize the media and initiate the CD when turned on. This confirms that the DVD/CD drive actually works, but for some stupid reason, Microsoft Windows 8 Professional will not recognize the same DVD/CD player it loaded since! Thanks again Microsoft for another product of shit. Now, how are you going to fix this? And how are we supposed to run things such as WordPad or paint, etc. I predict that Windows 8 will fall faster than Windows Me!

    If you had a problem with the VGA chip then the whole motherboard has been replaced.

    The laptop supports Wlan Atheros / module combo BT.
    This means that a single module shares WiFi and BT connectivity.

    Using Win 7 you must add the additional drivers called filter for driver Atheros BT package.
