Hello

-Are you referring to the Play Station 3 (PS3) combining the two albums?
-Are the albums of music of the same name?

If the albums are combined by the PS3, I suggest you to contact Sony support for better support.

Can someone tell me how to copy music from my media player on my media card on my cell phone using a USB cable?

You mean the WMP or your mp3 player on your phone?

If the first, then do not know your post the brand, model number and ref from your mp3 player, or even your phone, then no, I can not really help you...

However, it is the theory of what must happen!

Walkman mp3 should appear in Windows Explorer as a device, you must ensure that in tools > file Options > discovers (or display) the option "Show hidden files" is checked.

If your device is displayed, then you can then copy the music files and paste them on your hard drive. Once did, unplug your mp3 player.

Plug in your phone. Let XP do its thing, then use WMP to locate the files. Just drag and drop them in sync "ing window and sync away to your heart content. That's the theory.

It is not so simple in practice, especially with iPhones - you need to use iTunes or a 3rd party plug for WMP to sync'ing. In addition, there are a few other rare cases of certain brands of phones who need specific software to transfer files. For those: RTM!

    See you soon,.

  • Get the error code: 0 X 80070052 when trying to copy music to the removable card

Removable card will not let me copy music tracks him even if it is 75% of usable space left. Can someone tell me why please?

    Hi Fletcherand,

Welcome to the Microsoft Answers site!

I suspect that this problem is due to bad sectors on the device. So, try the following methods.

    Method 1

Analyze the drive for bad sectors.

    1. click on start > computer.

    2. right click on the map, and then open properties > tools

    3. check the box to automatically correct system file and Scan for and attempt recovery of bad sectors.

    4. try to copy the files

    5. If the problem persists, create a new folder and then copy the files.

    6. If you are still not able to copy then try the next method.

    Method 2

I suggest to format the device, then try to copy music.

    7. click on start > computer.

    8. right click on the map and choose the Format option.

    9. you can choose Fat32 or NTFS.

    10. do not select Quick format.

11 try to copy music once formatting is complete.

Try this and let us know the result.

  • When I try to burn a music disc player is registered as a DATA reader and does not allow me to copy music files that I can play on an external source

I have computer aGateway running Vista Home Edition and something happened with WIndows Media Player.   I have the DVD/RW internal drive and external DVD/RW as a player.  I use them mainly to copy music files and it has always worked fine until yesterday.

When I try to burn a music disc, the player is registered as a DATA reader and does not allow me to copy music files that I can play on an external source (such as the CD or car drive).  Worked fine Saturday and had burned discs Saturday night recognizes the two drives as data drives.

Is it something that needs to be reset or changed?

In WMP, please click the button burn up and make sure that the Audio CD is selected. Then try burning the CD again, they now play on a standalone CD player too.

  • I can copy music to a CD - R or must there be a CD - RW using Windows Media Player?

Can I copy music from a file on my computer to a CD - R or must there be a CD - RW? I use Windows Media Player. I've done it before, but it has been so long I don't remember if I used Windows Media Player or Roxio CD software that I used to have. I want to be able to use the CD in my car. I copied a CD purchased in-store music to my computer and now I want to make a copy.

    Thank you

    TomS

CD - R is very good.  The only difference between the two is that the written warning is much slower to write, but can be reused on a limited number of times.

    Hello

You can use Windows Media Player to copy music, videos and pictures of the Player library to a portable device, such as a compatible MP3 player or vice versa. This process is called synchronization.

You can see the links below and check if it helps:

  • CUSTOM1 and Custom2 columns do not retain data when copying music from one computer to another or the removal of a disc external hard is there a fix for this

I use windows media play to organize my music with various information.  I recently bought another computer to contain music.  Copied music from the folder on a windows xp on a windows system system 7.  All data for all columns except columns Custom1 and Custom2 was preservered.  Is this a known issue?  If so, is there a solution?  If there is not a fix is there a workaround.  Which is a file that is associated with the music files that can be retrieved and updated with the correct information.

Note the same issue occurs on the same system for the music that resides on an external hard disk if the hard drive is cut then re add the files to the library and once they are added all the previous metadatsa entered for all the columns are again the same as previously entered excpet for the the cutom1 and the custom2 colums

Has anyone seen this problem and if yes anyone knows how to avoid losing information that is added to the custom1 and custom2 colums

I don't know how to answer your questions, but maybe the following
info will be enough to get a dialog box started which will lead to the
    the solution you're looking for.

It all starts when COPY you a music CD and save the extract
files in a folder on your hard drive. These files can be in the format
of your choice... WMA. MP3. WAV.

These files can be played on your computer or used to create
    more CD.

Basically, there are two types of CDs you can create...

An Audio CD (music) is coded with CDA tracks and should
    play in any CD player

A data CD is just files burned on a disc and that they are not coded.

For example if your car CD player is compatible with MP3 files...
you could burn a data CD containing MP3 files, and he would play. If your
Car CD player is not compatible with MP3 files... you will have to
    burn an Audio CD (music).
