  I'm working on a simple order form. I scanned in the pdf file and then manually set the fields in the form. Because many of the fields have the same size, I used copy and paste to speed up the process. Now when I go to enter text in a field, he enters in the text identcal all bonded areas.  Is there a way to separate each field?

I have just a few questions/requests/bugs to appear:

  (1) when I import text from Illustrator objects, Flash Catalyst is unable to maintain the base changes. Am I missing something? I read that unique features for CF gave priority, and this other standard options formatting in Illustrator or Photoshop would follow in future versions. Is - that one of these options (as well as stroke, masks of clipping, etc.) that will eventually be supported? Or do I have to submit it as a feature request?

  (2) in addition, it seems that the grid of the CF is not as many pixels as the grid to HAVE it. When I import small objects that correspond to the guides, they become blurred - it's like fitting 10 people on 9 chairs. The gaps and overlaps appear. This will be reconciled in later versions? Or do I have to submit a feature request for this?

  (3) when I select a group of objects and click Edit > edit in Adobe Illustrator CS4, a dialog box appears with the title "Edit in Adobe Illustrator. Here's an exclamation point in a bubble and text "Selection of editing in Adobe Illustrator... ». The problem is, the box never goes away, and nothing happens in Illustrator. Am I missing something? Is this a bug? This feature works for other people?

  (4) I read about this elsewhere, but I have not found a concise answer. CF does support the copy of component interactions? By example, if I copy and paste a custom component, or if I export a component library and then import it, it loses all of its defined interactions. Is there a work around? Or plans to implement?

  Thanks for the kind words. I'm going to dive into your questions:

  (1) catalyst should maintain base shifts to import. Our goal is a complete fidelity with the original work. If you publish a file HAVE that has this issue, I can file a bug (unless it's been fixed since Beta 2, which is quite possible - we made many improvements to import fidelity).

  Also, I wanted to clarify the thing you discover more complex "formatting options". WHEN you import the PS, or FXG, the work should appear exactly as it did in the original tool (modulo very small differences). However, catalyst can not supported the MODIFICATION of more sophisticated objects or properties (masks, complex gradients, paths, HAVE mesh warp, etc.).  This is where 'Edit in Illustrator': you can pop at work in to, make changes there and then back to FC.

  (2) this can happen in some cases:

  (A) the reader Flash has a rendering engine of different text that HAVE, this text may look different. If it is critical for you, you can choose to convert the text to outlines when importing text.

  (B) alignment of the pixels: I supports the investment object subpixel very accurate because it can produce for print (where pixel doesn't really count). However, these objects blurry when displayed on a computer screen (where import pixels). You can see this simply by drawing a rectangle in artificial intelligence at 100% zoom. Objects in CF should be aligned with the boundaries of the pixels because it generates exclusively to a computer monitor. When you import and manipulate the work CF it automatically snaps to pixel boundaries. That's good because your fuzzy rectangle will become blurred, but it is not very good because small tedious objects seem not quite right.

  (3) your work should appear in Illustrator, ready to be edited. In Beta 2, it is only supported with Illustrator CS4. What version do you have?

  (4) it is not supported, and we do not have a proposal or plans to support. You must submit your proposal on the ideas site: http://ideas.adobe.com/labs

  (5) is not supported, but it is a good idea, so you should put it on the site of ideas. You can encode up to this behavior in Flash Builder, but you'll have to dive into coding.

  If your reason is blendable, you can:

  (1) create two instances of the pattern at a suitable distance of mutual;

  (2) create the mixture with a number of measures which is one less than the desired number, resulting in a large number (you will have two on each other);

  I looked through the other posts already and I * think * I tried all the solutions, but I still can't get on my machine typekit fonts.

  I try to use the font "speaker-std".  In the editor of 'kit', in the 'Kit-kit settings > settings' tab I name "localhost" (without quotes) and the right areas '127.0.0.1' (without quotes).

  I'm sorry you troubles here. Typekit may be used locally. However, there are a few steps which if left empty, causes the fonts don't not to return. To use Typekit locally, it must:

  1. run a local server when you test your site in the browser. You can tell if you are running a local server with the URL of the local site. If it starts with: file://, then you just look at a local file in a browser and it works does not from a local server.

  If the local URL starts with: http:// then you're running a local server.

  2. the domain of your local server must be part of the list of field in your Kit. So if your local server uses: localhost, you will need to add this to the areas of your Kit.

• PDF file opens in artificial intelligence with text changed in gibberish

  I am trying to import some marked pie, I did, in Excel 2011, in AI CS5. I want to change the art and text in Illustrator (vector, natch). Pies and lines come very well, but the text is garbled.

  Change the font used in the Excel table to something else on your machine. Right-click on the graph, and then select Format chart area. Go to fonts (bottom) Terminal and change to Calibri (body theme) [or landing he says] to something like Arial. Then copy and paste the chart.

• Copy/paste diagrams from PowerPoint 2008 to Illustrator CS3

  I have a cyclic diagram 3 pieces created with PowerPoint (http://yfrog.com/3ycyclepngp) and want to add it to a project that I do in Illustrator.  When I copy the graph in PPT and switch to Illustrator and select Paste, nothing happens!

  I tried some workaround solutions, but do not get the results I want.  I tried the command "Save as picture" in PPT to save the diagram as a PNG and even as a PDF file and placed it in Illustrator, but after trying the embed and LiveTrace options in Illustrator, I can't recreate a version fully editable and clean diagram.  I find myself with a pixelated the file version or it's a vector image with edges smoothed on every corner in the diagram.

  Is there a better way to do it?  Or would it be easier to recreate this chart in Illustrator?

• Copy / paste no longer works in firefox. Does not work in SafeMode either.

  I wonder what I can do to solve this problem. In most cases, I can point out one thing and select copy from the context menu, but when I try to paste nothing happens, and if I try to paste again copy them / paste are grayed out. I thought maybe it was an add on bringing so I ran FF in safe mode and still does. It could be something with my profile? I never had problems of profile before Mozilla started to update the browser in this fast paced. Originally, when FF 4 came out, I had a corruption of profiles in this version so I returned to 3. If this fast paced schedule of releases will only constantly corrupt my profile, I'm going back to version 3, or simply switch to a different browser altogether.   After more digging deeper, I found that this problem occurred in other things as well, but seems to be worse in FF for some reason any. With other things as if we were trying to copy and paste in windows or IE Explorer, sometimes it work and sometimes it wouldn't. After that scrubbing windows supports the forums and by sticking to a few suggestions, most people seem to think it could be a malware or a virus. I scanned the system with multiple programs and found nothing. In all my efforts, I was not able to determine why this was happening. I wanted no pictures of system previously and just copy / paste to work again, so I backed up my data and did a new install of Windows 7. So far, everything is back to normal now. I just wish I knew for what has caused this to happen. At this point, I don't think that Firefox was to blame in my case. It was my bad to assume that caused Firefox because it is the first place I've seen that happen and I spend more time than other things on my pc using FF.

  We have a PC running Windows 7 Professional 64-bit, Quad i7, 8 GB of RAM. The machine is used for editing desk top - CS6 Adobe, Microsoft Office 2003, CAD. The machine will be left on for extended periods of time. Reboots occur if the system plays to the top (which is rare), or when Windows Update requires a restart.

  In rare cases, copy and paste in Windows work stoppages - which means that nothing can be copied and pasted between any application: Notepad, Word, Wordpad, etc. InDesign. CTRL + C and Ctrl + V do not. If we use the Edit menu to copy, and then in the same application or in another application click Edit, paste to the option is grayed out.

  A reboot will fix it.
