  I think if there is more than one line of text, then it would be best to drag a text box, place the cursor inside the text box and paste it (Ctrl or Cmd-v)

  Or if yo want only the text (paragraph) to adapt to irregular shape, then draw this shape with the tool pen > select the text tool and click inside the shape you produced with the pen tool, and paste.

  If you have installed VMware Tools and they are running properly (icon of blue squares in the system tray), and then try to connect and logging in XP (not OS X), if it does not, choose Virtual Machine > install VMware Tools and after the home screen, select the option fix.

I only need 1 table of contents, but the tocStyle may change, so it's not quite an update. (If someone has an idea to solve this problem, it is fine also.)

  My first thoughts went to put the history of the textFrame I need to replace in the oldStory and do it with content: oldStory.content = newStory.contents;

  But when I copied the content I lost all the style information. All paragraphs have the same style, and I lost the characterstyles.

  Maybe my mind has a bad day, but I don't seem to be able to copy text with the style from one place to the other information.

  Can someone help me?

  By his description, the "content" of all text objects only contain ASCII/Unicode characters and overall SpecialCharacters stuff. Formatting is handled "elsewhere".

  Try oldStory.move (), that should work.
