• Copyright infringement

  My paintings have been validated on Windows Live without my permission.  As a result, I learned that digital images are now available as a screen saver.  This is clearly in violation of the copyright laws.  I work in the legal field.

  According to me, that these photos come from an exhibition that I went in March 2012.  I sent my digital photo for the race Director.  If it uses Microsoft Windows and posted for the public to view, which is in violation of the rules on the exhibitors, what kind of action should I take?

  This forum would not be able to advise you on these issues that we deal only with issues related to the Windows operating system. Copyright issues are a legal issue and you should contact a qualified copyright lawyer to provide advice on the issue.

  However, you should contact the webmaster of the site that published your paint and ask them to stop and refrain from new publication. They are perhaps not aware that it is a copyrighted material they publish.

• Monuments public and copyright in question of logo

  Someone asked me to make a logo for them.  They wanted me to draw a vectorized version of Seattle Space Needle, as part of the logo.

  Are there copyright issues if you work off one of my photos, I use Illustrator to draw the Space Needle and use it as an element in their logo?

  This is not quite correct, the only country where this applies is the France and which is after the date to which the law protecting the architecture has been implemented, which I think is from 1995.

  The law it is that the design of the building is copyrighted by the architect in creating. The publication or sale of photographs or likeness of it is protected and the architect must grant permission to use, but the photo is the property and copyright of the photographer.

  I work in France and one of the engines that created this law, and they pay me for my photography and the use of it.

  How it works, I'm owner of the photograph that they only have the rights to their conception of the building if they want to use my photos or have the publications I contribute use the images that they have to get my permission, simple, but if I want to sell to a commercial entity for a product or an advertising service
  I need their permission. They will probably insist on a fee or tax, or more than likely use, commercial entities need for repairs architectural as a way to be considered a source as possible, they exchanged probably a commission fee. That would be much more than a tax, if it's something fishy response will simply not. If it was used for a poster to say for a concert the answer is probably yes, and should be free of charge.

  Now to the laws of the American copyright which has since 1991, protection in the same way for architects, you need their permission in the form of a press release, but if the image comes from the public property, or property you are allowed to enter and you take a picture of the building or structure or place are not copyright protected because it is deemed in the public domain and falls under the fair use Act.   I often find that songs, movies and TV shows are not available in my iTunes Store (Australia). However, I can go and buy paper copies in the real stores and even online from suppliers the. Apple will say it's because of copyright issues, but because it is always available in Australia, it is a ridiculous argument.

  Is it possible to buy an another iTunes store - say, the UK or USA? Is it possible to get an Apple ID to another store to iTunes?

• Can I store the CD on the cloud for multi use?

  I have hundreds of music CD that I'd love to be able to listen on my iPad2, my LG Android phone, as well as my MacBook. Can I keep these songs in a cloud account so I can access and listen to any of my devices?

  You need to look and see if there is any third-party service that allows this. I know, in theory, I can put files on my disk one and pull them down, I did it for a couple of custom ringtones. That said, copyright issues (Yes, I know you bought the CD, but the music industry can be a little touchy on the digital files, especially those stored on a service somewhere) can get on your way. (And I wasn't streaming tones, I simply used it as a way to get them on my phone)

  As far as I know, itunes will only play that has loaded on it, either on the computer or synced to a device.

  When I try to update it tries but comes up with this message, could not install a security update Cumulative for Internet Explorer 8 for Windows XP (KB2675157).

  I also tried to install microsoft fix for this problem, but after installation set does'nt working properly either, it said fix he has encountered an unexpected error and cannot continue.

  Thank you for responding, I ended up talking to a microsoft technician and he was doing the clean boot, but it didn't do. He had to rename the two files in System 32. The c:\windows\system32\catroot folder and the file that deals with copyright issues don't remember the name. I don't know how he came up with the fix, but it worked. Thanks again for help

  When I try to add music to my slide show of Adobe Photoshop Elements 9, for some of my latest songs, I get the message "the selected file cannot be read because your system does not need to Compress / decompress (codec) installed.  How can I fix the song?  It is not a zip file, it's an mp3 player.  For the songs, I had some time, I have no problem adding them to my slide show.  I have a 10 Windows PC and I use Adobe Photoshop Elements 9 and Prime Elements 9.

• Need help to create the logo graphic text saved as a PDF. (Beginner)

  I use Photoshop CC 2015.

  I want to create a logo using the part of a chart in a PDF (no copyright issues).

  The chart in PDF document looks like Word of the text with a rectangular colored background. I think the word was created with the help of a police and a couple of letters have been adjusted by the designer to make it better. I just want to use the word itself for my logo, but I don't know how to extract the information.

  Hi there must be many ways to do this, including just draw your screenshot in Illustrator. If you are comfortable with the tool pen which is by far the most accurate way to do it, but its also very long. What I did was to use your perforated CAP and make a selection by using the magnetic lasso tool by using the default settings. This tool works very well for this kind of thing.

  

  Then in the palette drawn convert selection to path.

  

  What you have now is a quick alternative and dirty to the use of the pen tool. Indeed I had to change the path above

  with the pen tool to get the bend on some of the correct letters. Typographers spend days to address these

  forms so that they are fair, so, as you can see above the contours are not perfect, but it comes down to how

  a lot of time, you have to spend.

  Then, you convert the path to a selection. In Photoshop, go to select change smooth and use smoothing 2px

  in an attempt to get out of the irregular bumps or the strangeness of the track.

  Might have something to do with the way in which Google changes constantly their services around. I get the error as well. Don't expect an update since PS Touch has been abandoned.

  Another way is to use your devices browser and download images in this way. (Be aware of copyright issues, and property, of course.)
