Corrupted site username and password
Https://cursorium.co.uk when you type your user name and password Firefox 15 records info and site connection is fine. On next login remembers Firefox between data, but the site won't let you login, error of user name and password. It by manually typing allows to connect you. This happens even with a fresh install of Windows 7 and Firefox. The same version of FF on Linux works very well on this site.
It is the only site that I found which exposes the problem.
You can check if there are entries in the Manager password with an empty user name.
Make sure that you have not saved (uppercase, lowercase) versions of this name and password.
- Tools > Options > Security: passwords: "saved passwords" > "show passwords".
You can delete all stored data with a specific area through "Forget this Site" from the context menu of the history entry (see the history or the history sidebar) or via the subject: permissions page.
With the help of "Forget this Site" will delete everything as bookmarks, cookies, passwords, cache, history, and exceptions in this area, so be careful and if you have a password or other data from that domain that you do not want to lose so take note of these passwords and bookmarks.
You can't recover from which "forget" unless you have a backup of the affected files.
It has no lasting effect, so if come back you on such a 'forgotten' site, then the data of this Web site will be saved once more.

Master password enter usernames and passwords automatically, or should the user still manually enter this info?
Yes, after you set a master password, you will be asked to enter when Firefox needs to access your stored passwords. It will "unlock" the usernames and passwords you have saved and Firefox will automatically added automatically in for you when you navigate from site to site.
When you are finished using the web, you can exit Firefox to "lock" your usernames and passwords.

I don't really have anything else to add.
Start Firefox in Firefox to solve the issues in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions of the origin of the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > appearance/themes).
- Makes no changes on the start safe mode window.

I need to know if there is a username and password to access a certain Web site.
I don't know if at some point there was a username and password so that I could access a site automatically. The site is the homepage for my Department on the company's intranet, so that I work, and they have enabled a new virtual private network. If I use Safari, after activating the vpn open Safari, he asks me a username and password for a proxy server and from there I can navigate the external web or on the company's intranet. Using Firefox, I should I not get prompted for a user name and password but I can't access my home page yahoo.com or any public Web site; However, I can access my company intranet. The it guy says there must be a username & pw to access the site I previously asked Firefox to remember, but I can't see. I don't think, but I don't know where to find the list of sites that Firefox has stored passwords.
You ca n look in password manager.
- Firefox > Preferences > Security: passwords: "saved passwords" > "show passwords".

locked by a moderator, 07/02/2012 - has survived its usefulness
In Firefox 3.6.16 (and probably other earlier versions) could force FF to offer to remember usernames and passwords for many sites by editing the file ...\Mozilla Firefox\components \nsLoginManager.js to ignore site - asked deactivate autocomplete (_isAutocompleteDisabled returns false).
FireFox 4 does not use this file, or a similar one that I could find.
The result (FF ignores site trying to disable AutoComplete) is possible in another way or by editing another file?
This bookmarklet makes the browser ignore autocomplete = "off" temporarily, allows to save passwords even on sites that use autocomplete = "off".
Don't forget to bookmark password:

Why! will not firefox to remember a username and passwords more
Tried everything! Firefox don't remember some username and passwords for specific sites.
I don't know why, but I have a solution:
Change the 'password manager' so that it will allow the manual input and change.
jthighlanderAre you looking for a publisher of password? Maybe: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/saved-password-editor/ (I don't use it myself)

clear cookies while keeping the usernames and passwords
Firefox 21, if I clear cookies will be all my usernames and passwords are deleted? If so is there a way to prevent it? Terry
If you disable cookies sites can't remember more and you need to connect once more.
You will always have the passwords in the Profile Manager if you saved it.
- Tools > Options > Security: passwords: "saved passwords" > "show passwords".
Websites to remember you and automatically log you in are stored in a cookie.
- Create a cookie exception allow to keep these cookies, especially for secure websites and when the cookies expire when Firefox is closed.
- Tools > Options > privacy > Firefox will be: "Use the custom settings for history" > Cookies: Exceptions
You can leave the cookies expire when you close Firefox. Then you continue with an exception allow cookies. If you disable the cookies manually then all specified cookies are deleted, including cookies with an exception to allow.

How can I reset my "authentication required" username and password? The fields are always filled with my old information.
Follow these steps to delete the recorded data (form) in a drop-down list:
- Click on the (empty) input field on the web page to open the drop-down list
- Select an entry in the drop-down list
- Press the DELETE key (on a Mac: shift + delete) to remove it.
- Tools > Options > Security: passwords: "saved passwords" > "show passwords".
You may need to clear cookies from this site, so if you checked a box to remember you.

Before Firefox updated to 6, my user ID and passwords that I had saved, or ask the site to remember was always available. If I close the browser and later began a new session, my ID's were still on the Web site when I went to them. After yesterday, 31/08/2011, updated at 6, when I close the browser after a session, usernames and passwords are gone and must be re-entered. This only happens when I sail as a "standard" user If I surf the web as administrator, all my saved info is still there.
No worries; Type "subject: config" into your address bar, and you should get an alert guarantee invalidated. I leave the checkmark in the box for warn me next time.
After you click "I'll be careful", Firefox shows you multiple options, I'm guessing around 1500. Entering 'form' in the filter will only display options containing this string. Options I searched automatically deal with remembering the info you repeatedly enter in web forms.
Some changes require a reboot, and I'm not hip to that. At least in this case, you will still restart to see if it worked.
It is also critical that navigating the Windows registry, but the same kind of precautions apply; You can seriously break your stuff here. Just like Windows and the registry, a clean reinstall can fix everything you break here, but it's always a concern that you would avoid instead. Be careful and patient.
Take notes, which you change the value, so you can change back - right click to copy the name of the option, its value or both, thus facilitating a list of notebook. Remember that you may need to change a couple.
I am not sure that these options can relieve your frustrations, but this is my last idea in addition to a clean reinstall of Firefox.
