Could not load the firmware on P1102w (Mac OSX 10.9.2)

I bought a new P1102w printer, connected to a Mac OSX 10.9.2.  During installation, it asked me to "update" the firmware, which I did but (too late) I noticed that I was "updating" with an * older * version of the firmware!  Yes, that was crazy, I should read more carefully the screen.

Now I can't get the printer to work on the wireless at all (I tried * everything * on the pages of HP, all the alternatives) and it does not print a test page for the computer, and the Setup page: print with boxes completely empty (without text).  The supplies button returns nothing.  So I tried to reinstall the firmerware by going to the HP page

Although it does not say here that this firmware supports OSX 10.9 (only up to 10.8).   And of course, I can't launch the HP Firmware Upgrade Utility App.  The error message says that it cannot be opened and more in detail, said "permission to the application has been revoked.

So, what can I do?  This printer seems to work OK on USB (but the printer utility returns no information at all) but I would like to make it work wireless and that the printer utility work.    I insist, I applied * all * the options described on the pages of HP and also that I'm under the latest version of Mac OS x.  I would really appreciate the help.  The situation is irretrievable?

I was informed by another respondent to reset the printer by turning off, then pressing X and wireless keys while turn on... but it did not work.  He advised - if his suggestion did not work - I called the Customer Service, I did.

I was very impressed by the Customer Service Engineer.  He took control of my Mac via LogMeIn.  Like me, he tried all the obvious things (10 min).  He downloaded the firmware for 10.8 (I 10.9) and tried to open it, but the Mac refused to open it.  However, unlike me, he knew how to get around this (the normal Mac workaround does not work, it took him 10 minutes to do this step) and once it has been opened, of course, my printer had the OLD firmware.  Loading the latest firmware, everything's fine now.

So my advice is: telephone Customer Service!  I had just bought the printer while it was under warranty.

    Where do you get this error message?

    I suggest you to follow the steps and check if it helps.

    Method 1: Uninstall all the instance of Adobe reader and Acrobat reader and install the latest version of one of the drive and check if it helps.

    Try the step after the connection to the temporary account below.

    1. Click on the Start menu.
    2. Type Regedit in the Run dialog box, and then press enter
    3. Access
      HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\ProfileList
    4. There is 1 line for each profile. Especially if a profile is bad there are 3 things worth visiting:
    • Make sure that the name of the key are not ends in ".bad".
    • Make sure the RefCount value is 0
    • Ensure that the status value is 0
  • Windows could not load the profile of the user

    I tried to connect to my help my profile on XP last night and message box came up saying that my profile cannot be loaded.  I am currently in the temporary profile that was created automatically by the system for this profile.  It seems that files on another profile missing now and I can't get back my original profile.  This profile has been my administrator profile that I created to replace the supplied profile admin system.

    I checked the event log and I see an error event ID: 7026 "could not load the driver system or next start: Lbd." recently, I used the 'delete' function to get rid of one or two programs but was able to connect after you remove these two programs, so I don't think that was my problem with profile.

    I've seen a few comments on the forums, but they are especially for non XP OS.  Is it possible to retrieve the profile and files.

    If the answer is Yes to these questions, you can do the following.
     
    vzcdbsvc.exe is a process belonging to VAIO Entertainment studio. 'S called it VAIO Entertainment Database Service belonging to VAIO Entertainment studio.

    Step 1:
     
    a. Click Start > run
    b. Type "msconfig" and press enter
    c. Selective startup > Startup tab
    d. UNCHECK this process > apply > OK
     
    Step 2:
     
    Change the startup type of the Service:
     
    a. Click Start > run >
    b. Type "services.msc".
    c. right-click on VzCdbSvc. > properties > change manual start > apply > OK.
    d. right-click on the connection manager automatic remote access > manual change > OK.

    I recently installed the add-on Netflix to my Windows Media Player.  It was working fine (though I don't find Windows Media Player to be a great product) but now when I try to play something Netflix I get two error reading - each other.

    • The first read error is: "we could not load the video player.
