Could not load the wxfw.dll library at startup error

I uninstalled the weather channel and now whenever I turn on the computer, I get this message. An error code 126

I would not apply any of these ideas MSE - that has nothing to do with your problem.

A system restore I wouldn't do either.

If use you msconfig to disable the item, it can make the message go away, but that will leave you with a sloppy XP configuration.  The msconfig program is a troubleshooting tool - not a Startup Manager.  You have to solve the problem and the difficulty not only the symptom of the problem.

I would like to download and install either CCleaner or Autoruns.   These two run only "we demand" and don't install not install all the elements on your system to slow down.  There are other popular boot managers, but something like CCleaner has other things in there you might like too.

Then take a look at the entries to start your computer.

If you use Autoruns, start it and look at the tools, start-up and located at the entrance of offending startup and disable it.  Restart, and if you are satisfied the problem is resolved, you can use CCleaner to then remove the offending entry from your startup list.

If you use Autoruns, run Autoruns.exe and expect that it ends the filling of the list of entries.

When the Autoruns is finished scanning your system, it will say "Ready" in the lower left corner.  Autoruns can be a little intimidating to first if you have never seen it before because it displays a lot of information.  You are really interested only a few sections.

The problem is usually to start the system or the user startup entries, then click the logon tab
and see if the startup item is there.

Scroll through the list and look for a boot entry associated files in the error message.

If you can't find on the connection tab, look in any tab.

You can also click file, search to search for logon, or any tab for all or part of the name of the element.

Right-click on the offending entry and choose Remove.  If you are not sure what it is, you can simply disable, restart and if the problem is resolved and then remove the offending entry.

If you decide that you don't like CCleaner or Autoruns, just uninstall them.

    Hello
You did changes to the computer before the show?
    Method 1:
    Step 1:

You can try to start in safe mode and check if the problem persists.

The Advanced Boot Options screen lets you start Windows in advanced troubleshooting mode. You can access the menu by turning on your computer and pressing the F8 key before Windows starts.

Some options, including the mode safe mode, start Windows in a limited State, where only the essential is started. If a problem doesn't reappear when you start in safe mode, you can eliminate the default settings and basic device drivers and services as a possible cause.

    Advanced startup options
    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/advanced-startup-options-including-safe-mode

    Step 2:

If the problem does not occur in safe mode, and then try to perform the clean boot and see if the problem still occurs. Clean boot helps eliminate software conflicts. For more information, see the following link:

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/929135

NOTE: When you are finished troubleshooting, make sure that you reset the computer in start mode normal such as suggested in step 7 of the article mentioned above.

    Method 2:

You can run Windows Defender Offline tool.

See the following link for more information about the same:

What is Windows Defender in offline mode?

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows/what-is-Windows-Defender-offline

Windows Defender Offline: Frequently asked questions

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows/Windows-Defender-offline-FAQ

    Note:
data files that are infected must be cleaned only by removing the file completely, which means there is a risk of data loss.

    Method 3:

Try the SFC (System File Checker) scan on the computer.

SFC/scannow is a very useful command that you can use in any version of Windows. When the SFC (System File Checker) command is used with the/scannow switch, the tool analyzes all the important files of Windows on your computer and replace if necessary.

Missing and the corruption of the operating system (like many DLLs) files are probably the main cause of the major problems of Windows. In view of this, plus the fact that the SFC/scannow is completely automatic and very easy to use, the tool should be usually one of your top not troubleshooting.

  • Could not load the profile user (XP OS) and lost files

    Hello

I tried to connect to my help my profile on XP last night and message box came up saying that my profile cannot be loaded.  I am currently in the temporary profile that was created automatically by the system for this profile.  It seems that files on another profile missing now and I can't get back my original profile.  This profile has been my administrator profile that I created to replace the supplied profile admin system.

I checked the event log and I see an error event ID: 7026 "could not load the driver system or next start: Lbd." recently, I used the 'delete' function to get rid of one or two programs but was able to connect after you remove these two programs, so I don't think that was my problem with profile.

I've seen a few comments on the forums, but they are especially for non XP OS.  Is it possible to retrieve the profile and files.

    Please notify.

    Thank you for your time.

If you tried to log on to Windows and received an error message telling you that your user profile is damaged, you can try to fix it. You will need to create a new profile and then copy the files from the existing to the new profile. You must have at least three user accounts on the computer to perform these operations, including the new account that you created.
