Member of the community of Windows 'rap2pac' has provided a working solution for many of his colleagues in the Windows community. who has managed to "Start" the service of WIndows Firewall except for 'my computer '! * * * *

My laptop FAS recently survived an attack of one of these "ransom of FBI virus". It took the comprehensive analyses of the, "AVG Free 2013"and "Security Essentials" of Microsoft to find and remove all four of the Trojans, who were in fact the active components of the "FBI virus".

There was also the necessary research in the 'register', "Temporary files" and the "user files" to locate and delete all newly modified and/or suspicious looking for folders, files, permissions or registry keys.

Unfortunately, after all signs of the virus seemed to be gone, I discovered that Windows Defender and Windows Firewall were the two people with reduced mobility. Windows Firewall wouldn't start and that's what brought me here... to find a solution.

I read on and is quickly realized that I was not alone. There are many other victims without Windows Firewall. I came across the answer of "rap2pac", which contained a solution that received "rave." I followed his instructions and applied to my laptop. When I clicked on "Start", to start the Windows Firewall service, a window has popped up with this alert message:

" ! Windows cannot start the Windows Firewall service on the Local computer.

I don't understand what that means. I am at a loss and my fuistrations have overexceded their limited storage space... "me!"  ... ;)

  • Could not start the Windows Vista firewall

    Hi all

I can't start the Windows Firewall service in anyway.

I can't open it via Control Panel, as it is said simply: "the Windows Firewall settings cannot poster because the asscioated service is not running. You want to start the Windows Firewall service? »
I click "Yes", then he said: 'Windows cannot start the Windows Firewall service. There is no error code indicated.
I tried running "wf.msc" using the Microsoft Management Console. When this window appears, he says: "there was an error opening the Windows Firewall with advanced snap-in security.; The Windows Firewall with Advanced Security snap could not load. Restart the Windows Firewall service on the computer that you are managing. "Error code: 0x6D9.
As it seems, I can not start it this way or the other.
I pressed Ctrl + Alt + Delete and click on the Services tab, then click services on the bottom, and this opens the Services window.
In the new Services window, I try to start the service "Windows Firewall". I get a message saying: "Windows could not start the Windows Firewall service on the Local computer.; Error 1068: the dependency service or group could start. »
Therefore, it does not. The service is set to automatic.
I found another process called 'Base filtering engine', which I discovered is related to the use of the Windows Firewall service. Then, that I try to start this service, and he said: "Windows has no start the engine service of filtering based on Local computer." Error 0 x 80320009: an object with this GUID or LUID already exists. »
Still, I can't find a way to fix the problem. In addition, the service is set to automatic.
So if someone could help me, give me ideas or tell me how to solve the problem, it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
    P. S. sometimes, when I type things in the command prompt, I get a message saying that "the requested operation requires a rise." What it means
    ?
    EDIT:
    The base filtering engine
    IKE and AuthIPsec Keying Modules
    Internet Connection Sharing (ICS)
    IPsec policy agent
    Routing and remote access
    Windows event collector
    Windows Firewall
All of these services don't work, with each saying "Windows did not start the * service * service on Local computer.; Error 1068: The dependency service or group could start. ", with the exception of the Base Filtering Engine service.
    EDIT:
I believe that the motor of filter of Bae is the root cause of the problem, because when I try to start it, it says "Windows cannot start the engine service of filtering based on Local computer. Error 0 x 80320009: an object with this GUID or LUID already exists. ", so that all the other programs on this service, said depedent" Windows did not start the * service * service on Local computer. " ; Error 1068: The dependency service or group could start. ».
    EDIT:
Hello everyone, I solved the problem. The problem is a corrupted, file called "secdrv.sys. To resolve this problem, I had to first download the file "secdrv.sys' out of my operating system CD. To do this, you must create a partition and "mount" a file on CD, on the newly created partition. The file you have to climb is and is called: "*: \sources\install.wim. Extending .wim means a "file system Windows Image" and to see what files it contains, you will need to download what we call the "Windows Automated Installation Kit". Explicit instructions on the installation procedure and where to get this program, is here: "http://www.vistax64.com/tutorials/86959-access-vista-install-dvd-files.html". Once you have the file mounted, just search the area mounted for "secdrv.sys", then copy and paste it in "C:\Windows\System32\drivers" or that where the drivers from your system. After that, restart and the BFE service and all of its dependencies should work properly. Thanks for the good help like SpiritX.

I think you experience hardware failure - most likely the HARD drive or it could be RAM.

First run chkdsk on your HARD drive.

START | type cmd.exe in the start search box | Right-click on cmd.exe above under "programs". type the followng

    Chkdsk /r

Then you will see something similar-

Chkdsk cannot run because the volume is in use by another process.
You want to schedule this volume to check next time
    the system restarts? (Y/N)

Select there -, and then restart the computer. CHKDSK runs on the re-start.

After working the chkdsk you try the sfc/scannow

  • Could not start after Windows 7 Pro update, am I crazy?

I am now on my fourth try, and I'm about to lose my patience.

I bought a T400 6475-B14 with Vista 32 bit.  I bought a copy of the Windows 7 Professional upgrade.  I install 64-bit disk.  Currently the machine has 2 GB of ram, but I ordered 4 GB (2x2gb) RAM from Lenovo and it should be here in a few days.  In addition, since the machine is still under warranty, Lenovo sent me the restore disks (I think that's what we call them) and they should be here in a few more days.

On my three previous attempts, I update the OS and everything seems fine.  However when I go to the website of Lenovo, it cannot detect my system.  This seems a little weird, but I can deal with it.  I put in all of the info from the machine and download the Toolbox.  Once I did it tells me to download the update of the system, but for some reason he sent me the link for Vista/XP.  I then manually find the Updater, Win 7 64 bit system, download and install and it detects and installs the PowerManager, connections and repair, etc.

I do not seem to have any problems until I stopped the machine.  When I go to restart, the machine hangs at logo 4 color of Microsoft.  After a few minutes (5-10), it gives me the opportunity to try to restore to an earlier point and fix the machine.  But every time he tells me that the system is unable to repair itself.  I then reboot and press F11 at the THINKPAD screen and restore to an earlier version.

Last night, after two previous restorations could not give me a stable machine, I completely reinstalled the operating system.  Well, everything seems to work again.  However, this time I rebooted after each update, to see where is the problem perhaps.

I had downloaded information update system with the exception of the R & R and C++.  I installed C++, but it does not require a reboot.  I think that installed the R R &, installed and then rebooted the machine.

Then the same thing happened again!

I went into diagnostic tests and it came the following:

    Root cause found:

    ---------------------------------

A recent driver installation or upgrade may prevent the system from starting.

    Repair action: System Restore

Result: failed.  Error code = 0x1f

Repair action: System filed the integrity check and repair

    Result: failed.  Error code = 0 x 490

    Time taken = 945178ms

I'm going to re - install Windows 7 again, but this is starting to really drive me crazy (granted, it is a short route, but still!).

Can someone help me understand what I am doing wrong?  I'm not trying to do something crazy and I'm just following the instructions to the letter but I do always get my system works!

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    See you soon,.

    Hello

Do you (try to) exactly what I did when I punted Vista (good riddance!) and upgraded to Win 7 Pro 64 on my T400.  I don't see anything obvious you do bad.  Here's what I did:

Installed Windows 7 upgrade as a clean install. Then started to update Windows.  Then installed ThinkVantage System Update for Win 7and let him do his thing, no problem.

Is that what you have installed the update?

I was not able to find an answer in help

Unless you write your own drivers for XP and using the Windows Driver Foundation Service to help you debug, you can disable the WDF Service.  It will be one less point to start your system and will not not just sitting there working day and night with nothing to do.

On some systems, if WDF is activated, you can begin to see some errors of svchost.exe like this:

Application error: the instruction at "0x7c91b21a" referenced memory at "0x00000010". Memory could not be "written".

The best solution for this problem is: disable the WDF Service.
