Could not update the module

I was told to update Adobe Flash Player, what I did without problem. I was also told to update Adobe Acrobat NPAPI plugin. When I click Update now, nothing happens. I'm just brought back the same screen. All of the suggestions.

Trying to move from XP to Vista Ultimate. During installation, the installation gets to 21% on the files and then closes and I get the error "Windows could not update the configuration to start the computer. Installation cannot continue. Can someone help me with this?

Not quite, but pretty close. Media Direct could not lock the boot sector. It must be a BIOS lock or a mechanism of protection provided by your antivirus software. Given that, I would check your program settings then for all that prevents changes to the boot sector. You may find more easy just uninstall it and reinstall it after the upgrade. - Make sure you have enough disk space.
- Although the recommended minimum requirements are 16 GB (32-bit), 20 GB (64-bit), if you upgrade from a previous version of Windows or a previous version, you will need to have at least 40-50 GB of free space to accommodate the installation files.
- First run Disk Clean up.
- Archive files rarely used to an external hard drive.

I tried to look for ways to uninstall it, but the Live tile has been removed from the home screen (not listed under all the Apps either), so there is no way to uninstall it. Now I'm stuck with Windows Store perpetually asking the updated application.

Does anyone know how to uninstall a Windows 8 application without the Live tile? Thank you.

Open Explorer and in the navigation bar, type \AppDatausernamec:\users\

Replace username with your actual user name, for example c:\users\debbie\appdata

It is a hidden folder, you cannot display it by default unless you authorize the display of hidden folders.
