  My impression is 1/2 sheet of paper. I cut half empty and save to print another 1/2 sheet... On my HP 1010 I just put a pile of leaves 1/2 (so 5.5x8x5) and press on print and it just printed. That tells me that I'm using the wrong size paper.

  There is no 5.5 x 8.5 to choose paper size. There is a paper size, I can choose in the configuration of the 5 x 7 print - but when I choose that it, it prints on the 5.5 x 8.5 paper, but it narrows the information down to 1/3 the size adequate. "No place is' zoom ' or '100% ' so there is no option that I see to change that... I chose the landscape or Portrait and to cut down.

  I must be an easy way to use sheets of 1/2!

  This printer does not have the ability to create a custom size, which is what you do.

  There is a work around. You can configure a profile custom in Windows printers and devices.

  You also need to create the same dimensions of the page that you are working on your writer document (I guess that MS Word?).

  • Go to control panel > printers and devices and click once on your printer to select it.
  • At the top of the window below the toolbar (file Edit View tools help), click on the print server properties.
  • On the Forms tab, click the box to create a new form.
  • In the paper size: entry to the right size you want.
  • Name the form above and click on the button Save the form.
  • Click on leave the window.

  Leave the windows open.

  Now, open your document editor and change the Page layout. In MS Word 2010 (for example), you can click the drop-down list size and then highlight the new size you created as it will create the new size in the layout options. If your does not, I suggest that you manually change the size of the page to work on.

  When you are finished editing, go to print > printer properties and select the paper/quality tab (or equivalent).

  Click the Advanced Options button > paper size. Look for the custom size in the drop-down list.

  That should do it. If the printer refuses to accept the new size now, I guess the new paper sensor interferes on this model and will not allow the half sheet for food.

  My printer continuously presents a problem of paper collection and then I get an error message "paper jam".  The paper jam occurs when I found a sheet of paper half way along the lower tray and is not in the charger of rolls.  Sometimes, you can see the edge of the sheet of paper in the couple in the middle of inches wide, that the leading edge of the paper is somewhat wrinkled.  I was owner of the printer for 6 years and print only about 400 sheets per month.  It also seems that interference produces more often when the bin is full or only 1/3 full.  Also, it seems to happen more when I do a lot of copies when the printer is running hot.  If I let it cool it actually will run better for a short time until it starts to heat up.  It would help if I replaced the separation pad and rolls or is there another problem I have to troubleshoot everything first?  Thank you for your expertise.

  You need to replace the roller from tray 2.  Separation pad will not need replace.  Just do a search on google for the part and for instructions.  As strange as it seems to get to the secondary service menu is usually the most difficult part of the replacement.

  This can be done easily by using the functionality of the booklet of the printer driver.

  Open the PDF file in Adobe Reader, and then click file > print.

  Tried to find it in the archives - apologies if this has already been answered. Please answer with that link and ask you to chew your cabbage twice.

  On my old PC, I used to be able to print a bitmap "post", which essentially I would like to print and enlarge an image by printing on several pages (for example 4, 6, 9 pages.) Since I'm a painter, it was an easy way for me to print an image - and expand - which I could tape the pages together to create of enlargement. Then I could use this poster-enlargement-on-multiple-sheets-of-paper rough track on my canvas. (And my photographer friends have already pointed out the ease which actually print poster size images, but I need that expense or hassle for my purposes.) Essentially, I want enlargement to draw on a larger canvas to paint on.)

  Given that I just got a new Mac, I downloaded trial PSE9 Mac, but can't for the life of me find a way to reproduce what I used to do on my PC with an older version of the EP.

  Hope this makes sense - and hoping against hope that someone can push me in the right direction...

  You can save your image in PDF format.  Then, when printing on the Page Scaling > all pages of tiles.  Change the scale of the tile to the desired percentage.
