Cpu Intel Core 17 compatibility.

Having a desktop computer M9400T, chipset G31/G33/G35/P31/P35, with an Intel Core 2 Quad Q9300.  Considering an upgrade to Intel Core I7 processor.  Core I7 is compatible? Guess that's; just check.

    Hey Buddy

These drivers are part of the windows operating system. It is a Microsoft driver and I doubt that you have a newer version installed I think you mixed with something!

I can say with certainty that you will find not all CPU drivers and to be honest, I never heard special drivers

  • Re: Satellite A200-1TS - can I upgrade the CPU Intel Core Duo T7800 mobile

    Hello

I have a laptop toshiba Satellite A200-1TS with processor intel core 2 duo T7500 mobile.
Here is my model: http://ark.intel.com/Product.aspx?id=29761&processor=T7500&spec-codes=SLA3N, SLA44, SLADM, SLAF8,.

I want to change the processor with Intel core duo T7800 mobile.
This is the model: http://ark.intel.com/Product.aspx?id=31729&processor=T7800&spec-codes=SLA75, SLAF6

Is it possible to change this?
Because is not a diference betwwen T7500 and T7800.
The only diference is that T7800 has 2, 6 GHz. And my motherboard supports any other procesors as T8XXX or T9XXX?

    Thank you

Why do you want to upgrade?
Only due to the fact that the new processor takes in charge the 2.6 Ghz instead of 2.2 Ghz?

To be honest, you will notice no no performance gain after these updates.
Of course, the processor is faster, but would not really noticeable.

In addition, you should know that a CPU upgrade on laptop is very complicated.
First disassembly of the laptop is really complicated. It may be damaged other parts during disassembly procedure and more, you will lose the warranty.

Theoretically, this processor should be compatible, but as much as I know the Toshiba does not support updates and there could be a conflict of BIOS.

So I would not recommend these updates.

PS: Check your chipset and look at the Intel page for more information about the various CPU media.

    @TapsofOsiris

The BIOS does not overclocking and design of the product is not tested for changes such as change of voltage or clock speed.

If the laptop is damaged by, it would not be guaranteed by ch. DO so at YOUR OWN RISK.

  • Windows 7 Professional upgrade processor Intel Core i3-2330

I have ACER / SPIRE 5749-6863 with footstool of CPU Intel Core i3-2330 WINDOWS 7 PROFESSIONAL. Operating system can be upgraded to WINDOWS 10? IF the upgrade to speed or slow my pc will be runing.

An i3 class computer should be very able to run Windows 10 without any significant problems.

Reported on Acer community site that this model has been upgraded successfully, but it is not on the list of the devices supported Acer. This means only that Acer themselves have not tested, given the age to be provided.

Install a clean however known to give better results than an upgrade. If you have questions look to backup your data and completely wipe the system to reinstall Windows 10.

  • Which laptop is better INTEL CORE I5 - 4210H or INTEL CORE I7-4710HQ?

So I am planing on buying a laptop but a problem. Here are the specs:

    LAPTOP 1-

    INTEL CORE I5 - 4210:
    8 GB RAM
    HARD DRIVE 1000GO
    NVIDIA GEFORCE GTX 860M
    15.6 screen size of
    Memory type DDR 3 L
    Type of IPS display
    1920 X 1080
    2 GB OF VRAM
    4-2. KG
    COST: 1 650

    LAPTOP 2-

    INTEL CORE I7-4710HQ
    8 GB RAM
    512 GB SSD
    15.6 screen size of
    TYPE OF RAM DDR 3
    Type of LED display
    NVIDIA GEFORCE GTX 860M
    4-2. KG
    Cost: 2, 350

Laptop which is better? The cost difference is very big, so I need a legitimate response. I'll be using this laptop for navigation and a little heavy play. Video editing, maybe in the future.

For me, the key is the processor and in the above case I would seek to i7, but it has a very small hard drive. It's all a personal choice depending on what you use the laptop for.

    Hello

I'm sorry, but you cannot use the Core i5 - 2540M. You must use the processor Core i5 - 480 M. Some laptops series G6 such as ones of G6-1200 use chips from the second generation, so the manual you have is a general for all laptops to G6. The first generation Intel processors use a different socket than the second. A possible compatibility for Intel processors is when you have an Ivy Bridge chipset third generation) and you can use a Sandy Bridge CPU (2nd generation)...

  • Intel Core 2 CPU 6600 @ 2.4 GHz

Would be ESXi and 2 instances of Ubuntu run (quickly) on a computer that has an Intel Core 2 CPU 6600 @ 2.4 GHz and 6gigs of ram?  Also, is there a controller raid SATA for under $ 250, which would work well with ESXi and 4-2 to western digital disks?

    Thank you

    Ed

Depends on the workload, but it should work perfectly. Assuming that there is no other problems with the installation, you might look at LSI on the hardware compatibility list . LSI has reasonable support in ESX (i) and hardware monitoring agents when the LSI are included in the standard install ESX (i). ESX (i) has a limit on the size of the data store. You would need a controller which can create virtual drives or virtual LUN on a table. Individual virtual LUNS and disks should be slightly smaller than 2 TB

  • Can I replace the memory and not lose what is on the old memory for a Mid 2007 Mack computer desktop Intel Core 2 Duo, 2 GHz processor speed, 1 CPU, 4 MB of Cache L1, the 4 GB memory at 800 MHz bus speed.  Only 1 slot can play memory, the other is damaged

Can I replace the memory and not to lose what's on the memory of the former?  I have a Mid 2007, 20 "desktop Mac, Intel Core 2 Duo, 2 GHz processor, 1 CPU, 4 MB L2 cache, 4 GB of memory, 800 MHz bus speed.  I have a backup device.  A RAM slot is damaged.

You are confused of RAM and disk space available.

RAM stores information temporarily while the Mac is enabled and the application is reached. RAM replacement has no effect on the long term of your information storage.

The hard drive is where your information is stored in the long term. If you replace your hard drive, you need restore the information from a backup.

FYI, for your iMac, the maximum RAM is only 6 GB.

  • HP Compaq 8510p: is it possible to update from the Intel Core 2 Duo T8300 CPU on the HP Compaq 8510p to a T9600

    Hi all

I want to upgrade my HP Compaq 8510p.

I have an Intel Core 2 Duo T8300 installed. It's pretty fast, but I would need to increase the RAM memory. Unfurtunately, it only supports 3 GB. I searched the web and found the T9600. Similarly, the T9700 and the Q9100 have a the same base (P) and have been suggested here: http://www.cpu-upgrade.com/CPUs/Intel/Core_2_Duo_Mobile/T8300 _ (Socket_P) .html

On the other hand, I've read, the Quad may not be supported by the motherboard, which im my case seems to be called 30CS KBC Version 71.36

My BIOS version is the Ver.F.15 of 68MVD

I would be grateful for any help regarding this issue.

    Thank you.

    Alex

Here is the Service Manual that answers all the questions:

    Your manual

See p. 24. Top of page processor listed is a T9500. Quad is not supported. Other processors dual-core as a T9900 might work, but you're better off to take the manual is correct.

The laptop can support that 3 GB RAM because you are not running a 32 bit OS. It is capable of up to 8 GB, but it uses DDR2 and 8 GB of DDR2 memory is very expensive; well over US $100.

  • How can I access the CPU multiplier for the Intel Core 2 Extreme x 9000 processor

I bought a Dell Precision M6300 with an Intel Core 2 Extreme processor. Now from what I've read the page on this system, it can run CAD and other graphics programs. Well, when I had him form the person he had Linux Ubuntu top. It worked fine until I erased the drive and installed my iso of Windows 7. It was REALLY SLOW. To the point, I couldn't watch videos with VLC and it took forever to load Firefox.

I opened the Task Manager, and it was running at 0.59 GHz! This processor should be around 2.5 GHz. So I disabled the bios for the speed step options and he went up to 0.89 GHz and no longer.

About a week went by and I now have 10 Windows and it works well, but always to 0.89 GHz I had done more searching and found ThrottleStop. Well, now I'm running at 2.5 GHz, but I need to run this program to have the CPU to where I want to.

TL; DR y at - it updated for me to be able to access the CPU multiplier in BIOS? This is revision A15. I have an another Dell which is an XPS M1730 and it has a setting in the BIOS for him.

    You have 2 options:

    (a) run ThrottleStop all the time, that costs nothing or

    (b) replace the card mother and adapter which is not worth the time or evil or the cost of repair.

The maximum speed by default for a 9000 X is 2.8 GHz.  Yes, it's a processor that is unlocked, but not all motherboards include this feature in the bios.  Some laptops allow the multiplier slots, one or two an increase while other motherboards allow any any overclocking in the bios.  It is the choice of the manufacturer.  If your laptop is still usable almost 9 years after the X 9000 was launched, there must be nothing to complain about.

BTW, Windows Task Manager is not 100% reliable when they say the speed of these processors unlocked and it is not 100% reliable when they say the CPU so best to ignore these data.  ThrottleStop properly reported your CPU to 2992 MHz.  Be happy that there is a free solution available which can completely solve that problem for you.
